The bottom line is politics is a numbers game and the north have the numbers. When Tinubu decided to support Buhari against GEJ, many of us warned that there would be long term damage done to southern political interests from that move. 2023 wil prove that to be true. El Rufai or any other northern candiate will simply pick an Igbo man as vice. NW + NE + SE/SS will give the Norhten candidate vicitory.
Divide and rule is the oldest war strategy, and Tinbu has given the North the ammuniction to deploy it in 2023

Amumaigwe:

Call a spade a spade and don't be cowardly: APC will zone it's presidential ticket to the South West.
However, they will loose.

APC will zone its presidential ticket to the south and not the south west. The presidential ticket cannot be microzoned. Amaechi, Oshiomhole, Okorocha and other APC members from the south south and south east are also interested in running for president. Candidates from all zones in the south will battle for the ticket.

So, because El-Rufai is rumored to be interested in contesting for president, he will automatically get APC ticket, right? What exactly is wrong with some of you? You think El-Rufai has any significant control over the party? You guys really need to cool down and learn about politics. It’s obvious your knowledge of politics is shallow.

In case you don’t know, El-Rufai is only positioning himself for Vice President.

Odumegwu Ojukwu never contested the 1999 election.

The Ndigbo went against the Yoruba wish of voting for Olu Falae of AD in the election. Olusegun Obasanjo was imposed by the Northerners and the South East went with the northerners to elect Obasanjo.

The 2003 election was rigged for Obasanjo against Odumegwu Ojukwu in the East.

Peace
Pick an igbo man of your own wish too na and back

I think only few sane people are actually in this country.

Nature selected the best eediots and fooools in this world, mixed them up with the few sane ones, and we became 200 million Nigerians

People are campaigning for 2023 when absolutely nothing has been fulfilled in this second term?

Still dreaming of a Southern presidency?... Forget it.. .Power was wrestled out from the North just after 38yrs.

It was given to you by pity. Noooo, the North won't give it back to the South, at least not for now.

Over 70 people from all over the country contested the 2019 election and only one person won. El-Rufai’s right to legitimately aspire for the presidency is constitutionally guaranteed. That he wants to contest doesn’t mean he will win. In fact, he cannot win. Dankwambo, Tambuwal, Kwakwanso and some other PDP governors aspired to be president in 2019, we all know how it ended.

All the northern politicians floating around the idea that they want to run in 2023 are only doing so to position themselves for Vice President. They know APC will zone its presidential ticket to the south. Even if APC will field a northerner, it won’t be from the north west. So, no cause for alarm. Let’s allow El-Ruffy to keep testing the waters.

The north knows about the deep division on the south and are positioned to take advantage of it.

Orji Uzor Kalu was also supported by his minions in Abia in 2007. Same with Sule Lamido, Dankwambo, Tambuwal and others.

That's not a problem, the problem is getting support outside Kaduna.

The greatest mistake Nigerians will make is to elect el-rufai as president. What we are seeing now as per herdsmen, fulanization and islamization will be a child play to what will happen then. Mark my words

Did you Igbo support the Yorubas in all the years you mentioned, before calling on support from the other side?

obj got the biggest support from the SE in 2003 and 1999

he was voted en masse because he is not a tribalist but a nationalist

too bad leaders like obj are not liked much in SW because he does not give that "tiwan tiwan" vibe like the likes of Tinubu and AreIGBEshola undecided

and yes
a lot of igbos were appointed (the technocrats, not the agberos ) by obj like Soludo, Nwankwo, Okonjo iweala, Akunyuli etc

and they gave a good account of themselves

igbos support one who does not give the tribalism vibe

Yaradua OBJ
Buhari gives that vibe as Nigerians have seen

so he gets no support
