Take her to the hospital for general body checkup as per her age.

Tell the doctor forehand and then take it from there.

I agree with this route

I alone, but its just too sensitive a topic dont want to sound insulting, evrything is a trigger.

Make her eat more fruits everyday, tell her its healthy for her body. Fruits remove vaginal smell. Also ensure she drinks water constantly. You should also take her to the doctor for test.

I have seen this type of thing before with my neighbor's mother its usually associated with older women.
Firstly, she should stop tying ordinary wrapper because its not discharge but fluid that is coming out of the vagina buy her alot of cotton pants so that she will be changing at intervals.
Take her to the hospital for proper treatment. May God grant you the wisdom to overcome.

From your statement, it means she does not know....so you are looking for a way to tell her...Just thinking aloud, what makes you believe the reverse will not be the same
Just thinking though...

Ps she has treated infection often and on but this smell is what i dont understand.doctors should help too.
Why is it that the smell refuse to go away because she bathes morning and night(rule while growing up in our house)

[/quote]

I am sure your mother herself is embarrassed by the smell. One of the reasons she bathes frequently. Get her to a good gynecologist. Tell her, it is part of her routine exam. Let her get a mammogram while she is there. Please find a woman gynecologist, Someone with empathy.

There are many different things that cause odor. It does not necessarily have to be hygiene. It could also be hormonal. As a non medical professional I suggest you take her to a good doctor.

She has endured the insult and pain from this for a very long time. Your father has not helped either. Help her end the misery in a very humane and dignified manner.

Matured advice please.....

Ever since i was small my mum have always have this unpleasant smell.she baths often but this smell have choose to not go away, i heard she got an infection after a miscarriage because we do discuss it amongst ourselves,we her children. The smell comes from her private and i dont know if she is aware of it. She baths often but after sometime the smell starts again.

She came to my house for visit and i was embarrassed when my husband passed and was asking what was stinking up the kids room, i know it was my mum but i told him something else.

She is someone that always like tying wrapper without any under and you can imagine how it is.

I dont want to embarrass but i know it has always been an issue with my dad(they have seperate room coz of this).she get angry easy too but i really have to.

Ps she has treated infection often and on but this smell is what i dont understand.doctors should help too.

She needs to do a vaginal swap, then u get her strong antibiotics. Also You should get her pant Ladens, and vaginal spray preferably strawberry flavour. You also need to get her YONI CLEAN POINT. I swear if she's inserts it and removes it after 48 hours she will see dirty, slimy, dark ,and smelly liquids trickling down her private part. You can google it yourself, its a chinese herb.

Meanwhile trying to talk her in to adhering to the above preventive measures won't be easy though but u av to be careful while addressing her.She needs to know the truth.

no. Dont call a family meeting.

Take her to see a doctor but speak to the doctor first before the scheduled meeting.

An incomplete miscarriage can cause serious bacteria infection and i guess that is where the smell is coming from.

She needs to do a scan first and then the doctor will know what to do.

Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my father in heaven ☺.

Op, just tell her you feel she needs a general medical check up which is basically for aged individuals and probably she would need food supplements to aid digestion and all. But before then, make sure you've liaised with a gynecologist for every necessary procedures.
Hope this helps smiley

She most likely has VVF

Vesicovaginal fistula, or VVF, is an abnormal fistulous tract extending between the bladder (vesica) and the vagina that allows the continuous involuntary discharge of urine into the vaginal vault.

Vesico-vaginal fistula is a serious disability that can be experienced by women after childbirth. It is defined as a hole that develops between the vagina and the bladder, resulting in uncontrollable leaking of urine through the vagina.

The most common cause of vesico-vaginal fistula is obstructed labor, early marriage, poverty, and women's limited control over the use of family resources.

Women and girls with this disability are often abandoned by their husbands and isolated from the community due to the smell and associated shame of urine leakage.
no doubt sir, u must be a medical doctor

She can also chew garlic. But going to a gynaecologist will be your best bet.

Kai! Have you ever tried staying close to somebody who chews garlic? The stench is out of this world.

Abi you want the woman to choke those kids with garlic fumes ontop the one she already has?

The solution is twin pronged:
Solution 1: Get her to be treated by proxy:

bukatyne:
Take her to the hospital for general body checkup as per her age.

Tell the doctor forehand and then take it from there.

Solution 2: Vegetarian diet till symptoms desist.

Hipsofagoddess:

Make her eat more fruits everyday, tell her its healthy for her body. Fruits removes vaginal smell. Also ensure she drink water constantly. You should also take her to the doctor for test.
Its known dt every kind of disease thrives only in acidic media. Fruits and vegetables on the other hand are alkaline by nature (with lots of anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-septic properties) and as such, diseases can't survive in such medium/system. Apart from preventing diseases, it also gives d white blood cells d needed boost to fight the prevalent disease(s). In order words, it boosts d immune system.

Let the woman combine these two solutions and she'll testify.
Vegetarian diet alone will still work, it may just take a longer time.

I've scanned through the comments and I must say that I'm disappointed in >95% of them. Everyone is trying to be a doctor and is rendering Medical advise of which 99% are misleading.

Now let's get to business, OP. Your mum, how old is she?? Calculate her Body Mass Index using her weight in kg divided by her height in m². Does the value fall above 30kg/m² How many children does she have?? When was her last child birth When did you notice the smell?? Does she smell of urine and does urine If she doesn't, I don't think she has VVF. Does she smell of feaces? If she does, she might have RVF. Does she have any vaginal discharge Is the discharge bloody If it is bloody, is it bright red or dark red Does the discharge itch? How many pads or wrapper does she use to absorb the discharge?? Does she bleed after sexual intercourse Does she bleed after washing or touching her vagina?? Does she have any low back pain, cough or does she cough up blood? Does she have diabetes mellitus or hypertension Anybody with cervical, endometrial, breast or ovarian cancer in her family Has she ever done a pap smear before

After answering these questions, please take her to see a Gynecologist ASAP.
Your mother might have cancer of the cervix or endometrium or ovaries and because you are not aware, you are holding the foul smelling discharge against her while the woman is dying.

Please, all sexually active women should go to the nearest Specialist hospital and have a pap smear done. This is the earliest detection of cervical cancer and cervical cancer is very much treatable if the disease is identified early enough and treated.

Thanks OP and I wish you and your mother the best.
