Gradually, we are getting close.

See more of these constructions in Oshodi, Anthony and more below

https://www.autoreportng.com/2019/10/see-on-going-repair-works-at-anthony.html

With due respect sir, you got this wrong. What they are doing at the moment is to raise the road divider higher and not any form of repairs on the road.

The main objective of this is to stop people from crossing the road. Funny enough, while on my way back from the Island the other day I actually saw a lady climbing the raised part of the divider. Their work is making life hellish on the that route and does not justify the money being spent. Why should they raise the divider when pedestrian bridges haven't been built. Between Charly boy b/stop and Anthony b/stop there ought to be at least two other pedestrian bridges. This has not been done and they are using the money they ought to use to repair the bad portions of the road to raise the road divider.

This is what has been termed 'Sanwo Eko' for you - the party men must chop.

N73 billion to repair, not construct, a 32-kilometre road....

Do the maths. That works out at over N2.28 billion ($6,336,806) per kilometre

NA WA O! sad undecided

Anti-Corruption, we hail thee!

Thank you Sir but this is not a LASG project... Please read the article well and revert. This has nothing to do with Sanwo-Olu, its a FG/Dangote work

AutoReportNG:
Repair works have started at the Anthony- Oworonshoki Road area of Lagos. Anthony is an urban place that has a close road network with Oshodi and Oworonshoki is closer to the dreaded 3rd Mainland Bridge. It will be recalled that the reconstruction of the 32-kilometre Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonshoki-Ojota in Lagos was performed last year by the Minister of Power, Works, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The reconstruction of the road’s Section 1, Sub-section A, will begin from the Olorogun Michael Ibru Boulevard (former Creek Road) end of Port Novo Bridge and Liverpool road, in Apapa, through Coconut, Beachland Estate interchange bridge, Cele Bus Stop, Anthony Village, to Old Lagos Toll Gate.

The whole length of the road will be paved with reinforced concrete by Dangote Industries Limited at a whopping cost of N73 billion, using the Road Trust Fund policy.

The fund is a form of public, private partnership, conceived to accelerate the provision of federal roads by allowing private sector operators to collectively fund road projects in exchange for tax credit.

“The Road Trust Fund policy gives private sector operators an incentive to fund infrastructure with the government. This is an innovative and laudable scheme, we are putting our money upfront,” said the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

For those coming from MMIA, you must have noticed some additions to the pavement by HITECH team, well, it seems they are upgrading the road and they are going all the way to Ojota.

AutoReportNG got some new pictures of this road and how the workers are faring, see below...

[[s]quote author=KingAzubuike post=82832567] Lagos is an overhyped piece of garbage. Stay in your state of origin and do business there. You will flourish. Those doing business in Anambra and other eastern state can testify. Abokìs who haven't left Kano can testify too. [/quote][/s]
No wonder your Eastern States IGR are lowest in the country

Putting effort into a place that don't need it. Go and put mile 2 badgary express way in order than wasting resources on a road that don't need it.

Can we really know the length of repairs they are carrying out?. Don't deceive us please, please.About 2-months ago,you people told us they are carrying out works at Mile12--Ketu, causing lots of traffic jam, only to get there two days thereafter, you see the magnitude of potholes right away, with heavy traffic again. What manner of people are we?Are we people without conscience?
Even Bloggers are paid to report nonsense. Its a fluke in this state as we see things going down gradually, people celebrating foolishness without character!!.
Are we aware that there some States in USA and even in Europe that there is rainfall almost every week of the year, yet some Officials will tell gullible Masses in Nigeria ' we would fix your roads immediately after raining season' lies, big lies, this same lies they have been feeding the public since decades ago.H ere in Nigeria, especially Lagos, there is no reason why we can't fix these roads all the time. Its corruption and political corruption for that matter.Lagos should set a good example for Nigeria and should not be crawling. We should make Lagos a model of a State that works considering the huge Revenue coming to it.
