Ttipsy:you don't get me, buhari is the worst thing that has happened to Nigeria, what I am saying is if we keep voting for our kinsmen as leaders, when they begin to fail we tend to overlook. That is why the fulanis and the hausas are still supporting him. Last election I would have preferred moghalu or sowore, besides Nigeria is not the only country blessed with many tribes . |

mrvitalis: Today, you find that one of the houses acquired by the Western Nigerian government in those days is part of the Nigeria High Commission in London. Then, there was neither envy nor hatred. Both Muslims and Christians were living in peace and harmony. But when the Army struck, problem started. Then General Gowon came into power in 1966 and there was problem. This guy is just very funny. 1) How will the SW nominate 5 Igbo candidates they like to be president? Will these five candidates be announced by the Alaafin (the Emperor), the Ooni (The Priest-King), Gen Obasanjo (The Soldier) or OPC (a socio-cultural organization)? 2) Political parties and NOT Tribes contest elections in Nigeria and they chose the candidates that they think can win the elections for the parties. mrvitalis: |

The problem with this is that: 1) You can NOT use the threat of secession to blackmail other Nigerians to give you the presidency. 2) You can't force all parties to pick only Igbo candidates for the Presidency. Each Political party is different and they have different areas of strength. They pick candidates that they think command widespread acceptability and can win the presidential election for them. 3) On a personal note, the second point above would have been easier to get igbos to the presidency if we are still practicing one dominant and many weak parties system. 4) It would have been easier to mount pressure on the PDP leadership to give it's Presidential ticket to an Igbo candidate and they will win. All these changed with the emergence of another strong political party, the APC in 2014. Adaibeku: 2 Likes |

Nobody is denying Igbos anything, let alone the presidency. Nigerian citizens are aspiring for the topmost post in their country through democratic means and you are calling it greed because you feel you can't compete in the presidential race? In 2023, let Atiku, Tunde Bakare, Osinbajo, El-Rufai, Tinubu , Tambuwal and my humble self contest for the Presidency. You can seat behind keyboards and be shouting 'it is our turn'. kettykin: 1 Like |

Unfortunately you have been wanting that for long and it hasn't materialized and it's not going to materialized in the nearest future. Honestly, I wonder if you guys ever seat down and do a thorough soul searching. You are the only people in the world who seriously desire to be given the presidency and at the same time also wanting to destroy the same country. You are the only people who call people derogatory names and still want these same people to make you their president. Who does that? Adaibeku: |

If you are not cleaver by half, you would have known that there was NEVER a presidential primaries in this country in which ONLY one Tribe/Geo-political zone participated. In 1999, Obasanjo only emerged the presidential candidate for the PDP after defeating Alex Ekwueme, Jim Nwobodo, Don Etiebet, Philip Asiodu, Graham-Douglas. In the APP, Dr Ogbonaya Onu, Ikemba Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Gabriel Onosode and Dr Olusola Saraki particicipated before their primary was aborted for a consensus candidate in Kaduna. For the 2019 PDP presidential ticket, Dr Bukola Saraki, Sule Lamido, Gov Aminu Tambuwal, Kwankwanso and Atiku slugged it out. Malawian: 1 Like |

The first thing you need is to have a STRONG IGBO CANDIDATE that you can rally round to win the presidential primaries of APC or PDP before asking ordinary Nigerians to support the candidate(s) wingmanIII: |

There are very intelligent and resourceful Igbo men that can be good presidents. However, they aren't contesting out of the fear that they will lose. You can't become president if you don't contest. It's better you encourage Moghalu and others to contest for the tickets of their parties. Ttipsy: |

The attempts by Igbo people like you especially in Lagos to turn Tinubu to a hate figure create a seige scenerio in the minds of many Yorubas. It will only make more Yorubas to close ranks and rally round behind Tinubu. nku5: |

I don't seem to get this; while I am not opposed to Igbo presidency, the obvious truth is that it's way out of order to ever expect nomination of an Igbo candidate by the APC-a party you reserve so much contempt for. I'm not a party person but I do understand it's highly hypocritical to expect rewards without making efforts. If this demand is being made from the PDP, then I can relate; Igbos have sure unparalleled loyalty to the party even with some obviously non-performing governors. I'm only irked by the idea of insisting the APC has to field an Igbo candidate is just way out of order because that is what these rants are all about. 1 Like |

I mean see him ordering people around, he cannot nominate the 5 persons but wants others to do it for him. |
