I just can't believe that the people complaining cannot see that this is a deliberate effort by Innoson (and BBN) to advertise/promote a Nigerian luxury car brand. I'm very proud of Innoson Motors, and I'm very happy a popular show used it as a gift. More shows will be gifting Innoson cars. It will go a long way towards changing the "foreign is better" mindset of people in this country.

That car is robust and rugged... exactly what we need for our roads. As for looks, it shares the same template as the G-Wagon, Range Rover, or LX570 (i.e. boxy and ugly in comparison to the the sleeker, smaller SUVs). If I could afford it, I would buy it, no question. Once the current cars are a few years old, we should see used IVMs enter the market, so they would become affordable for more people.

If you want a cheaper Innoson, go for a Fox (7M) or G5 (13M)

Irony: somebody says if BBN was in Germany they'd get a Benz; Italy they'd get a Lambo; forgetting that by this logic, if BBN is in Naija, you get an IVM (they are all luxury brands made by the respective country).

Innoson wants to invoke his vehicle brands into the life of celebrities and youths. That is why his own was presented to Mercy. If you observe the environment, you will notice that celebrities and youths do not buy Innoson-made vehicles. Anything that does not get the attention of celebrities and youths is under-appreciated in the Naija. Just watch out, celebrities and youths will gradually begin to buy Innoson-made vehicles because Mercy owns one. 'Nnewi people get sense.'
