Point of correction, no state Government is part of Bbnaija spnsors.

These reputable organizations you're talking about are not charity home. They will never invest in what will not yield profit for them direct or indirectly.

Now ask yourself, these shows you listed above, in what way have you supported them when they're still existing and functioning?

1. No sexual contents
2. Organizers of the show shoud set aside #100M as awards to three best students in waec in each state of federation
3. Organizers of the show shoud set aside #100M as awards to three best students in each university in the country.
4. Organizers of the show shoud set aside #300M as health trust fund.
It seems like you have done the mathematics already. But I wonder why you didn't do the same for your govt.

Civil Liberties Organization (CLO) has urged President Buhari and the National Assembly to abolish the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.

According to the organization, the reality TV show has no benefit in the transformation and talent discovery in Nigeria.

A statement issued by the chairman of the Anambra state chapter, Vincent Ezekwueme, also called on religious leaders and moralist to speak against the evils in the society.

CLO stated that their call is quite timely towards the protection of national interest, morality and the future of Nigerian youths.

Ezekwueme said, “The show has painful, shameful, negative and devastating impact on our youths, culture and society. Wealth without wisdom is one of the worst blunders of the world.

“The Minister for Information and Culture should constitute men of impeccable integrity to unravel if the show is in tandem with culture, traditions and believe of Nigeria in order to restore morality, core value system and good orientation.”

The Big Brother Naija reality TV show ended on Sunday, 6th of October with Mercy emerging winner.

She went home with the prize money of N60million, an SUV and tickets to travel abroad.

grin grin grin

No government in Nigeria (federal, state or local) has ever done the highlighted...
But you want to subcontract governance from the people you elected to tax-paying private businesses.

It's called entertainment, are you looking for moral lessons
The same thing can be said about a lot of things the average person consumes. At least this program has added billions to the economy.
Some people spends their time watching football while some people counts it as a waste of time and of no benefits. As somebody said BBN is entertainment and Idea to make people enjoy fun and to make money. Some people playing bet9ja are even condemning the show.

A person suffering from brain paralysis will say people or dumb people are enjoying this trash
There are better things to bother ourselves. Things far more important than BBN.
Unemployment, insecurity and corruption need to be tackled with the same energy they are using to tackle bbn now.
I can understand why Nigeria is where it is today. Majority have lost focus and are now pursuing irrelevant things.
Developed nations don't chase crickets up and down because they have developed their brains to think about only important things.

They said the same thing about Emmanuel TV and Love World TV many years ago. T.B Joshua and Pastor Chris silently moved their stations to South Africa. If you ban Big Brother, the organizers would simply move it back to South Africa since that was the original intent knowing how stup!d Nigerians can be.

BBN is an entertainment channel, rated 18. Same DSTV shows some disturbing and more "immoral" contents on Channels like E! Entertainment, Discovery TLC Entertainment, BBC Brit, ITV Choice, etc. In fact, some movies are rated 18 on Studio Channel, M-Net Movies Premiere, M-NET Movies Epic, Etc.

But you know why "Nigerians" don't complain about the above channels?

First, you are not allowed to watch these channels unless you can afford between N8000-N12,000 on monthly subscription. So it appears that the crop of senseless hypocritical Nigerians are those in the poverty infested class, who were pitied to see Big Brother with their N700 GoTV subscription. If Big Brother decides to "ban" this crop of Nigerians, we can expect a good level of sanity.

Second, Nigerians are known globally for a disease the English man calls "Misplaced Priority". Ideally, a civil liberty organisation shouldn't be seeing commenting on Big Brother show. How do you, a civil organisation, demand for a ban of one of the many entertainment channels channeled at Nigerians and Africans?

Civil depicts a civilised institution, and liberty depicts liberation and freedom. If I was Buhari, I would instead abolish this stup!d organisation, detain it's management staff and have their resources confisticated.

You always argue blindly without taking note and digesting what others with contrary opinion are saying.

Now, talking about shows with real benefit and value, can you give some list of shows that possess these qualities.

And again, Bbnaija is adding to the Nigeria economy.

In as much as I am not a fan of Big Brother show due to its poor educational value and high immorality content, I am CONFUSED about this call for its abolition coming from Civil Liberties Organization.

If you ponder over the two words 'Civil Liberties', you will appreciate my CONFUSION. Ordinarily organizations like CAN and MURIC should be calling for abolition of BB show while organizations like CLO would be opposing on ground that every Nigerian is at liberty to do any lawful business including reality shows.

Confusion everywhere!

Say it louder! I confuse pass you.
