Episode 12



Smile stood before the gigantic hostel and exhaled, a boy came out of the hostel 's third floor balcony and saw him. It was sun dawn as it is evening.
"Pastor Smile is back oohh!" He raised an alarm, students started coming out of their rooms, the rumours of his kidnap has spread the whole school.

"Where am?" Some one who respond to the alarm inquired, he simply pointed down to the ground. His vision fell on Smile who was walking towards the hostel block, "one gbossaaa! For pastor Smile" he shouted.

Many others came out of the rooms and chanted happily, "mandelites are we joking here, one gbossa for pastor Smile!" He shouted. Smile shook his head and a smile played in his lips in appreciation for the warmth home welcoming.

"Leave me! leave me!!, I wan jump down die oh" one of the boys shouted as he stood on the balcony making funny moves, a head pop out of a room in the corridor he stood "nobody dey hold you, jump down die quick" he advised him and people around roared in laughter.

The moment Smile arrived in his room, his other room mates jumped on him. Asking several questions but he only said God is the one that saved him, when his arrival ceremony has cooled, Cyrill and him sat on his bed. "Guy, lecturers dey ask about you oh" Cyril informed him. Smile shrugged without saying anything, "them even cancel test because of you" Cyril told Smile who looked shock by what he was told.

Cyril stood up and left Smile's bed, he walked to his locker and brought out a pot, then stove. Smile was deep in thought, he went on his kneels and prayed. Cyril placed his stove on a wood kept outside, and lit the stove. He placed the pot on the fire, he took it down when it was warm and quench the stove with breeze. He carried the pot inside, and placed it on a paper he laid on his bed side.

He went to his locker and brought out a bag of garri with sugar, and pure water sachet. He mixed garri to sip, "can I have some beans to eat?" Smile asked Cyril who didn't bother to raise his head, "the kidnappers no give you some beans to eat? go ask them na" he replied him and started eating, Smile ignored him and went inside his locker. Took a spoon and joined him in eating the beans.

Eva drove crazily into the compound after the gate was opened by one of her girls, she walked inside the house ignoring greetings from other lower ranked white Angels. Li and Tasha were plotting how to lead a mission before she entered the sittingroom, she saw them and climbed the staircase leading to the upper floor ignoring them.

Li was quietly looking at her before she took the stairs at the staircase landing "excuse me, girls" Li told them and went after Eva, she climb the stairs and appeared in Eva's room. She saw her smoking with just her white panties on "Hadija, what is it again?" She asked her, Eva always smoke for a reason.

"Nothing, I just want to be alone" Eva replied allowing the smokes to dangle on her face, Li knowing the kind of person Eva is left her room with immediate effect. When Li left her room she clad herself with her red robe and went to stand on her balcony, she looked up to the sky and watched the moon.

Smile couldn't sleep, he felt like a part of him is taken from him. He stood up from his bed and went out of the room, he stood on the second floor balcony and watched the moon.

It was a sunny day, Cyril was tasty so he went to a kiosk close to the ICTC building in the campus. He ordered for a sachet of pure water "take your money" he told the seller who was busy attending to a female customer close to him, "don't worry, I'll pay for you" the girl beside him told him and smiled at him.

Cyril felt like he is dreaming, he wondered when girls started spending on boys. "Thank you!" He told her and walked away from the kiosk, before he could walk away he heard someone calling his attention from behind,
he looked back and saw the girl that paid for the sachet of pure water was the one calling for him.
He said in his mind that she shouldn't ask for the money she paid for the pure water 'cause he won't give her.
"Am Hannah, you are Smile's friend right?" She asked him.
*She even knows Smile name but didn't know my name* Cyril thought, he simply nodded.
"I like your friend, can you, you know na" she said.
"I don't know na" Smile replied and shrugged.
"I'll give you money, please help me" she begged Cyril, he licked his lower lip as the girl brought out five hundred and gave him.
"Na now you come" Cyril said when he received the money from her, she gave him her number and both of them departed.

It was pitch dark and the road lonely, a car was driving past with a loud music playing out from the car. The leader of the green landers was on the wheel smoking.

Li and Tasha stood on the road with guns directed to his car, they rained bullets on the car. He jumped out of the car and rolled on the floor, he had injuries.

Li and Tasha shifted from the road as the gun ran through their middle and jammed a PHCN pole, Scorpion grabbed a grass and disappeared. Li and Tasha checked around and notice he has left already.

Scorpion appeared in his dark room groaning in pains, he limped to his bed and sat. the light in his room was switch on by a white Angel girl close to the door, "my general" Eva hailed him.

His eyes widen as he saw white Angel girls surrounded him with guns.

Episode 13



Li and Tasha shot repeatedly on the moving car towards them, they shattered the car's mirrors. Scorpion rolled off from the car's front seat rolling speedily groaning in pains as he landed on a low grasses close to the bush wincing in pains.

Tasha and Li moved away from the middle of the road creating space for the moving car that sped pass them and jammed an electrical pole. Scorpion stretched his hand and grabbed a grass and utter some words before disappearing, Tasha and Li approached were he had rolled off from the car with torches in their hands. They traced blood on the tarred road to the low grasses, and discovered he has left.

Scorpion appeared in his room,
He limped weakly to his bed and sat on it, "aahh!" He touch his forehead and find out that he is bleeding.
He stood up to switch on the lights in his room,
the light came up and he was surprised to see white Angels girls surrounds him with guns.
"My general" Eva hailed him, she sat on the only sofa in the room smoking. The moment he saw Eva, he ran to the wall and slapped his palm thrice uttering words.

His eyes widen when what he did didn't produce the desired outcome.
Eva and her girls started laughing at him, as he punched the wall in frustration.
"No place to run" Eva told him, he turned back and looked at her angrily.
"Just beg for mercy" she told him, he spitted on the floor.
"I, general Scorpion won't bow to you and no man, a sailor don't bow to Thor 'cause his ship is sinking!" He said and beats his chest in anger.

"Bla bla bla, you are too boring", Eva said and yawned, she shot at him. He shifted backward without the bullet 'causing any harm on his skin, he smiled and Eva chuckled.

She took a red piece of clothe and wave in his direction thrice, she shot him on his chest "aahh!" He groaned in pain, she shot repeatedly at him as he refused to make any noise. She shot him several times before she left with her girls.

He laid on the floor lifelessly his blood forming pool around him.

In one of the lecture hall in permanent lecture site, Jenny and Smile sat on one of the desk with books before them.
"Eva rescued me from the kidnappers" Smile told Jenny after she has asked him about the rumors she heard in school.

"How?" She asked him to talk more.

"She only rescued me" he replied her and shrugged, Jenny gave up when she realized he isn't going to say more.

"Please, Smile avoid that Eva. I heard she smokes and fornicate, that girl is a real sinner, please stay away far from her" Jenny begged holding his hand as they sat facing each other.

"Jen. Thou shall not judge" smile retorted inhaling sharply that he has just defended Eva, Jenny was surprised the way he rebuked her.

"Sorry, am just tired" he told her and gathered his books and left the hall, Jenny watched him leave silently.

Cars drove slowly and parked close to a gate, Eva stepped down from the car with gun, with Li and Tasha. Her girls came down from the other cars, she kicked the gate little pathway and it opened easily, she walks in gingerly with Li and Tasha behind her.

Her girls loaded with guns followed from behind, they search the house rooms and find it empty. "Slaymama, don run!" Li said and screamed in joy.

Eva and her girls left the compound after they are done searching the house.

Eva hasn't been in school for sometime, she came to school on the first day of revision to receive lecture. She drove under the tree in the permanent lecture site and parked her car.

Smile was on the corridor of the lecture hall, he smiled when he noticed her car. She wore a dark shade and her hairs neatly plaited behind flow to her mid-waist, cladded with white and a Jean trouser with white canvas.

Smile wore a dazzling smile on her face, she climbed the corridor "hi" Smile greeted grinning, she pretended like she didn't hear or see him. She entered the lecture room leaving Smile rooted in the spot in surprise, Smile joined her in the lecture hall. Through out the lecture his attention was on Eva, he couldn't get her off his mind.

Immediately the lecturer stepped out, Eva followed. Smile hurried up to catch up with Eva, he stepped out of the hall's corridor look left and right and didn't see Eva. He walked to the other end to check if her car is there, he inhaled sharply when he didn't see her car there.

Cyril was walking to the hostel when he sighted Hannah in the midst of her friends, he quickly turned to elude her. "Cyril!" Hannah called his name and ran towards him.

"Hannah, how far na?" He asked, she simply shrugged and glared at him.

"You didn't give Smile the number, I didn't receive any call or WhatsApp message from him. That is what I paid you for" she yelled at him angrily.
Cyril started laughing, she didn't find it funny.

"Calm down, you only paid for registration na" he told her chuckling.

"What did you just say?" She asked him.

"You heard me" he replied and hissed then walked away, she stood there glaring at him.

A car drove crazily past Hannah who jumped out of the road and landed in the garden, a loud music is playing out of the car's speakers. The car parked at the spot Eva formerly occupied.

And a boy with tattoo all over his body stepped down from the car with gun in his hand, he wore only trouser and chains all over his nape. His trouser band didn't reach his waist, his boxer was the one concealing his bare buttocks.

"General Igbudu is back!" He shouted and shot thrice in the air, people scampered away in freight. Boys on red appeared around the campus, and headed to were he is.

Cyril ran into his hostel room breathing and sweating heavily, he opened the door and saw Smile sleeping calmly. He hissed and unbuttoned his shirt.

*In the dream*

Smile was smiling as he stared at a direction, he closed and opened his eyes. His smile turned into frown when someone he didn't recognize brought out a gun behind Eva, "Hadija, run!" He shouted at her.

Eva stopped dancing and looked at Smile in confusion, a loud gun shot was heard behind her. Smile caught her before she could fall and held her in his hands, "Eva, please wake up!" He begged tapping her cheek.

Cyril tapped Smile who was sleeping quietly on his bed, "wake up! Wake up there!!" He shouted at Smile, who almost jumped out of his bed shouting "Eva!!".

Episode 14


Smile jerked up from his bed making Cyril to laugh at him, his eyes hold fear. Beads of sweats formed on his forehead, he stood up from his bed and went out to the second floor balcony.
He dialed a number and placed a call to Eva. There was no response from the other end.

"Pick Eva!" He mumbled silently to himself.

He so much fear his own dream, he typed a message and sent it to Eva. He went inside his hostel room and prayed.

In the evening he came out of the hostel, he walked down to the university stadium. When the gate keepers saw him, they let him in 'cause of Eva.

He sat on the field silently and waited for Eva to come, he kept on turning his head around to see if she has arrived.

He stayed there for an hour, it was getting dark but he didn't intend going back to the hostel.

"You don't give up, do you?" Eva said behind sitting Smile, he quickly stood up with wide smile plastered on his face.

"Am sorry for disturbing you" he replied, she simply shrugged.

"So, why am I here?" He asked him walking closer and squatted on the field. "I dreamt were you were shot, I was so terrified and it was so real, it felt like you are gone" Smile blurted out confusingly, Eva started laughing.

He looked at her in confusion "what is funny?" He asked her, she simply shake her head and stood up properly, looking very serious.

"Do you love me?" She asked him, the question was a shock to Smile who went mute immediately. "I don't know" he replied her. She turned and walked away "call me when you are a man" she told him and left the place. Smile stood there for sometime before he walked away.

A car drove crazily inside a compound, someone at the back seat came down from the car and shot thrice in the air "call me Igbudu" he said and shot once again in the air.
Boys on red came out of different corners of the house to welcome him, "Igbudu leee!" They hailed him.

He dragged the cigarette and puffed out smokes that dangled on his face, "you see this town, Igbudu has come" he said and shot thrice again in the air. He climbed the car and stood on it, he shot once again in the air "we go party tire" he said and shot once again in the air.

He jumped down from the car and went inside the house accompanied with two rugged looking guys, alcoholic drinks were distributed to his boys with cigarettes.
Igbudu entered a room and removed the jacket he wore, he took a triangular little bag filled with white substance from his bed head.

He tore it with a short knife and emptied it on a saucer that it is on a table beside the bed, he bent and sniff it. Hitting his head with his hand anytime he raised his head up, one of his guy with him in the room. His back rested on the wall looking at him, "you wan party without white Angels?" He asked Igbudu raising his eyebrows up.

"Yeeee! Eva my baby, call her" he replied and kept on sniffing the white substance, the mancho guy whose back is on the wall called Eva.

Li pushed open the door and stepped in, she show Eva on her bed reading with books scattered on the bed. She sat on the bed and faced her friend who is busy with her books.

"You don hear say, Igbudu dey town?" Li asked Eva. "You say?" Tasha asked she overhead Li while she was opening the door, Eva didn't raise her head she acted like she never heard what they were saying.

"Eva honey is back" Li replied Tasha and both of them laughed, Eva raised her head and glared at them. "That was then, that guy no go fit be my boyfriend, em dey even call me" she took the phone and displayed the screen to their faces, both of them shivered.

"Go meet am, that guy no normal oh" Tasha begged, she is tired of incessant troubles. Eva ignored her and busy herself with what she was doing.

After Smile was done writing examination for the day which was the last paper for the semester for his department, he walked to Eva's car and waited.
After some minutes Eva came out of the hall and saw him, she smiled graciously at him.
"Hey, Smile" she said to him.
Smile scratched his head nervously, "hey, Eva" he replied and exhaled.

"Do you want to tell me something?" Eva asked him sweetly, beads of sweat started forming on his forehead.

"Yes, I... I. . I.." Smile stuttered, Eva couldn't help it, she laughed.

"Tell me when second semester starts next week, have to go" she told him and pecked him, she entered her car and drove away. Smile waved goodbye to her.

Eva hasn't gone far when she received a call from her dad, "hello, father" she said into the receiver.

"Don't father me" he replied Eva and she giggled. "Hadija, when are you coming home?" He asked Eva with his baritone voice.

"Tomorrow, sir" she said and grinned, "I missed you sweet" he told her. "Am on the wheel dad" she replied him, "sorry honey" he replied and ended the call, Eva chuckled.

A car drove crazily into the compound when one of Eva's girls opened the gate, Igbudu came down from the car hurriedly looking angry. He held a gun in his hand with cigarettes betwixt his lips, he removed the cigarette "Eva!!" He thundered.

He sighted her on the pool side, he walked swiftly to where Eva is. She wore bikini and her legs deep in the swimming pool, she was swinging her legs inside the water.

"Na me you dey ignore" he yelled at her, Eva didn't even bother looking back at him. She ignored him completely.

"Gbuuu!" Gun shot was heard.

And the swimming pool water was mixed with blood.

Li and Tasha were looking down from the window in the room in the upper floor, they saw Igbudu and Eva together. "This mad man don come" Li said and chuckled, "no make mistake one day, tell am for em front oh" Tasha replied. "why you no pick my calls, Eva!" he yelled at her clenching his fist, Eva looked at him and frowned. "Igbudu, Bleep off" she replied him and turned back facing the pool, he couldn't control his anger.

He pulled out a gun from were he has tucked it earlier and shot Eva, the bullet hit her shoulder blade "aaahh!"
she groaned and fell inside the pool, Eva struggled in the water drowning, he dive into the water and swam out with Eva who laid unconscious on the floor.

"Get your f--king hands off her!" Li yelled and pushed him off Eva's unconscious body, Igbudu drenched with water staggered backwards. Tasha carried Eva in her arms to the car "open the gate!" She shouted at the girl smoking beside the gate, she was almost in tears.

"Na me you dey shout for, Li" Igbudu said to Li who was almost regretting her actions, she hissed at him "you are causing so much troubles in her life, just leave her alone. Now you have killed her" Li replied shouting at him with tears.

She hissed and ran into the car moving out of the compound, Igbudu stood transfixed beside the swimming pool staring at the waters mixed with blood,
Several thoughts in his mind. He wondered how the gun was able to penetrate into her body.
He shake his head regrettably,
He later drove out of the compound.

Smile came down from the car and went to the car booth, his dad opened it from inside. He carried his luggage from the car booth and dropped it on the floor, her father stepped down from the car.

His mother was very happy to see him, she started singing immediately she came out of the house.
"Praise thou Lord!" She raised her voice.
"Amen!" Father and son chorused.

She hugged Smile passionately, "welcome son, your mom has prepared your breakfast" his father told Smile patting his back.

Three of them went inside the house.

Eva sat on the hospital bed, with Li and Tasha be side her rest bed. They were gisting when her phone rang, she picked it.

"Hello, daddy" she said into the receiver.

"Your mom said you are not home yet, why. Hadija?" the bossy voice sounded harsh on the phone's speaker.

"Dad, am on a sick bed" Eva replied softly.

"What? How!" The bass voice soften immediately with affection. Eva giggled.

"With malaria dad, I'll be fine. Sweet" she told her father sweetly. "Umhh.. sure, shouldn't I send bodyguards to bring you home" he replied her.

"No, no, dad. Am with my friends, I'll be fine" she replied sharply, they ended the call with 'I love you" coming from both ends.
The door pushed open immediately with Igbudu carrying flower and his boys behind him.

His boys busy themselves decorating the room with lots of flowers, when they are done. They left the room, Li and Tasha remained in the same position watching his moves.
They seem not to trust him a bit.
"I'll be fine, Li and Tasha" Eva told her friends when they refused to give Igbudu the privacy he was itching to ask for.

"Sure?" Li asked her, she simply encouraged her two friends with a nod. Igbudu got hot glare from the two beautiful girls that left the room, "hi" he said nervously to Eva scratching his head.

She rolled her eyes "I have forgiven you, just stay away" she replied him inhaling sharply. "I wish I can, you know I love you" he said kneeling down beside her sick bed, making Eva surprised. She laughed, "see me see trouble, I thought you broke up with me 'cause you don't love me anymore, even if the love is back. I don't love you, just go away!" She replied with a scream almost harming herself.

She coughed hysterically that Igbudu offered her water, she gulped the whole water in the cup into her throat.
Li and Tasha entered, Eva was catching her breathe. "She isn't strong enough to talk about that, General" Tasha begged him with low voice. He nodded and stood up straightening his trouser "I'll be back, my love" he promised and left the room.

Immediately he left the room Tasha and Li started laughing "I'll be back my love" Li repeated his statement mimicking his voice, three of them burst out laughing. "The guy don sniff in South Korea or Philippine cocaine, em don turn lover boy" Tasha added and Eva grinned.

Igbudu was smoking and walking around in a circle in his room, the door opened and someone came with a phone.

"Who?" Igbudu asked his first in command who brought the phone with him.

"Your father on the line" he replied, Igbudu sighed in displeasure. He took the phone and placed it on his ear.

"Have she agreed?" A voice from the phone's speaker asked.

"No, I'm..." He replied but couldn't complete his statement before the voice cut in.

"Foolish boy, do whatever it takes. Her father will be the next president of this country, don't mess things up or you will regret it" the voice warned sternly and ended the call, Igbudu smashed the phone on the wall and clenched his fist boiling with anger.

In Smile's room, he is the only one alone. He was studying, his parents has gone to church camp and his parents didn't take him with them because is an adult camp meeting.
The door knob turned and Grace stepped in.

Smile raised his head up and saw her, she bite her lower lip seductively and started playing with herself.
She pulled her gown zip down and stepped out of it with just her panties.

Li and Tasha glanced at each other, immediately the call ended they laughed and Eva raised her eyebrows at them.

Eva cleared her throat "as you can see he is coming to visit me" Eva announced and two of them cheered her.

The door opened and Smile stepped in, he wore a sad face.

He walked briskly and sat beside her "what happened to you?" He asked with concerned voice.
"Am fine" she replied simply and smiled at him.

He inhaled sharply "I wouldn't have forgiven myself if my dream came to past, because I wanted to tell you something" he said and scratch his head. Eva raised her eyebrows cutely urging him to speak.

"That i love you" Smile didn't realize when he said it, the room became awkwardly silent. "Does that mean am your girlfriend?" Eva asked raising her eyebrows cutely enjoying the nervousness he is in.
He nodded, he bent and their face were closer.

Both lips clicked together seamlessly in a sharp kiss, Smile pulled out of the kiss and grinned happily. Eva opened her eyes and a smile played on the corner of her lips "since we are now dating, don't you think we should start f--king" Eva told Smile and his eyes almost jumped out of his socket making Eva to laugh.

"Forget, just kiss me" she told him and curled her hand around his neck and draw him close to her, their lips clicked and they drank from each other fountain of mouth.

The room was a big one, with a big bed and television set, with sofa in the room. Properly arranged and pleasing to the eyes, Slaymama sat on the bed smoking and two of her girls sat on the sofa in her bedroom.

"Na me Igbudu f--k f--k anyhow like ashawo, Queen you don suffer" she wailed and released smoke from her mouth.
"Eva, you get mind send that bastard" she blurted out and her eyes threaten tears.

"Permission to cap" one of the girls in the room with her asked, "cap" she replied and placed the cigarette back to her lips.
"No be Eva send am oh, the guy even shoot Eva" the girl on green barret that took permission earlier told her.
Slaymama flashed her a quick look,
"That Igbudu don mad" she said and the room became quiet.
"Two captain can't coach a ship, arrange girls, the dry skeleton has risen" Slaymama instructed.

The two girls stood up from the sofa and placed a hand on their chests and bowed in obeisance.
They left the room and Slaymama went into a deep thought.

Igbudu was driving on highway, he slow down and curved into a street that is on a bush path.
He is heading to a river bank to get cocaine.
Four girls appeared before him and started shooting at him.

He slowed down the car and halt it, he tilted his head sideways.
the girls shoot incessantly at his car but none of the bullets tempered his car, they fell on the ground losing fire power before it will get to the car.

Igbudu came down from his car with a sharp matchet majestically, he slammed the side door shut.
and walked slowly to the bonnet and sat, regardless of the shooting aimed at him.

"Gbuu!" one of the four girls that tied a red piece of clothe around her head echoed.
"War!" others chorused.
Igbudu brought out a red handkerchief from his pocket.
the four girls deep their guns mouth on the ground and shot at him.

He waved the red handkerchief and the bullets flee to different directions, he laughed.

"And those who died in Augustine shall have a celestial feast, Augor Augor!" one of the girls raised.

"Augustine aaa!" The others chorused, everyone of them grabbed a cut from grasses and stuffed them in their gun mouth.
and they shot at Igbudu, he bent and the bullet hit on the widescreen and
damaged it.

"Taaarrrhh! and when there is blood on the high sea, every shaking tree is a target" he shouted and raised the matchet up to the sky.

"If Odin could sacrifice his eye, whom am I not to conquer, Igbudu! Igbudu!" He said and turned in the circle, his assailants watched his moves.

"Igbudu leee" he shouted and bent down,
then disappeared. His assailants looked around in amazement.

A sharp cry "aaahh!" behind the girls, and a head rolled, the body of the neck spill blood.
The three remain girls look back in freight, "hahaha" he laughed.

he appeared close to the bush "on that day, peace to the bastards, spade to spade, blood to blood. Hahaha" he said and laughed, he disappeared immediately they shot at him.
he appeared behind another girl and cut off her head.
the others saw this and ran, he appeared and laughed insanely.

He walked to his car and brought out a big black bag.
he put the two heads inside it and dropped it in the car.
he entered and drove away.

The gate was opened wide as a car drove in with speed, if anyone was standing in the compound. that person will be in morgue by now.
Slaymama and her girls were standing on the house's verandah, planning on how to bury their dead members.

Igbudu stepped down from the car with two mancho men with guns, he brought out the bag from the car and deep his hand inside it.
he brought out the human heads and threw it towards them.
"I, general Igbudu. no body challenge, no mother force" he shouted standing in the centre of the house with hands spread wide.
The two mancho men behind him "Igbudu, Igbudu leee!" hailed him and shot twice in the air.
They drove out of the compound without confrontation.

Slaymama watched angrily from were she stood.
she lit her cigarette and walked inside the house without a word from her to her members.

Two weeks gone from the second semester and Eva is yet to return, she travelled home immediately she was discharged from the hospital.
Smile and Jenny were talking and laughing happily,
when they came out of an empty lecture hall.
It was evening and the sun was at it state of rest, Smile carried his bag behind. He and Jenny came back from their afternoon study section gisting happily.

Both of them walked on a tarred road close to the permanent lecture hall and love garden.
Igbudu and his men were smoking and drinking under a tree close to the love garden.
Immediately they sighted Smile, one of his men stepped out of the tree's shade.
"Psst! You lap!" He called Smile who looked at him in confusion.

"Why?" Smile replied, Jenny was already shivering beside him. He looked at him angrily, Smile shrugged and walked towards him.
"You disembark" he pointed at Jenny, she shook her head stubbornly and glued to Smile's arm.

"Gbooooossaaa!" a thunderous slap landed on her cheek and she screamed, Smile out of fury charged at him.
"Wey you!" Three other of his men stepped out of the tree's shade with guns, university sheriff in the vicinity disappeared.
Igbudu was silent as he watched them under the tree, he was busy smoking.

Students were heading to that direction saw the commotion and took another direction.
Lecturers who parked their cars around that area, sighted them and went back to their offices.

The three rugged looking intimidating figure who emerged under the tree with guns glared at Smile with a warning look.
The one who slapped Jenny and Smile stood face to face at each other, Smile clenched his fist.

The three guys that emerged from under the tree could pass for clubs bouncers,
Smile kicked against making trouble.
"You no go disembark!" One of them thundered at Jenny who scampered away in fear.
She ran as fast as her legs could carry her to Smile's hostel.

"Bounce in" one of them told Smile, who obeyed and walked towards Igbudu who sat on the car bonnet smoking.
"Na you dey wrestle for love with me?" He asked Smile with his husky voice.

"Excuse me" Smile replied curtly, one of the mancho man behind him removed his two legs from the ground.
he lifted up and slammed on the ground groaning in pains.
"You dey mad? who goes you to cap when General dey cap?" He thundered at Smile who is on the ground staring daggers at him.

"Hey you, look here. I for light you instanta.. but, I get joy this evening. If you see Eva, run like say she be ghost wey dey haunt you. You hear me, pass am charge boys" Igbudu said and busy himself with the cigarette and alcoholic bottle beside him.

The four men descend on Smile with punches, "Jesus Jesus!" Smile screamed loud in pains.

Jenny ran as fast her legs could carry her, she ran into Smile's hostel room breathing heavily and sweating. "Wetin happen?" Cyril who was only on boxer asked her.
"Smile, Smile" she breathed out his names.
"Wetin happen to Smile?" Cyril asked in confusion.

"Cult guys are beating him" she replied him catching her breathe, quickly Cyril wore his short and a T-shirt.
"For where?" He threw at her, he was impatient of her inability to speak fluently.
"Outside" she replied.

He hurried up to the third floor and saw the hostel chair coming downstairs.
A black tall mancho guy, with beards covering most part of his face. He looks more like a criminal.
"Chairmo, them dey Bleep your boy up" Cyril told him, his eyes bulged and his muscles tightened in anger.

"For where?" He asked him, "outside" Cyril replied quickly.
Three of them hurried downstairs and came out of the hostel.
Jenny was running ahead two of them,
When they got closer, she pointed at them.
From were they stood, they could make out people raining punches on someone on the ground.

Cyril and the hostel chairman ran towards that direction, he wanted to pounce on the guys beating Smile but stopped immediately and held back Cyril when he saw Igbudu.
Cyril was boiling in anger "regard to my General, after you na you" he saluted Igbudu.

"Make ona free am, na your pikin be this?" Igbudu pointed at Smile who was already bleeding and groaning in pains on the ground.
"Yes, boss. The boy no know the old ways, avail mercy" the hall chairman pleaded on behalf of Smile.

"If no be you ehnn.. no wam" Igbudu replied and entered inside his car, his guys joined him in the car.
Igbudu swerved the car crazily and sped off, Cyril and the hostel Chairman Mike helped Smile up.
He called university shuttle passing through that route,
The driver turned and drove to that place.

"Baba, Mike" he hailed the hostel chairman, who carried Smile inside the shuttle.
He entered and Cyril also did "who do am that thing?" The driver asked facing the road.

"Na Jeff, abeg increase speed" the hostel chairman replied him, he put the car on the university express way and geared the shuttle down to the school's clinic.

A loud horn was blared outside the gate, one of the green queen came out of the house hurriedly and instructed the gateman to open the gate.
He did, and a car drove into the compound.
Three men came down from the car, with rings on their fingers and a green head tie on their heads.

The girl who instructed the gateman to open the gate ran inside the house to fetch Slaymama.
She came out and stared at them in surprise.

The three men stood side by side, she walked swiftly and knelt before them.
"Regards to my superior, the German ship pilots" she greeted them. The three men weren't smiling.

"What is the message that Augustine old boy sent to him" one of them asked her, she slowly lowered her head in shame.

"Never to hang leg in face of war" she replied slowly with a low voice.
"German! Why have you betrayed the ship?!" One of them thundered at her.

"I can't, the blood of bobos runs in me. the skeleton hasn't risen" she pleaded, they stared down at her and nodded.
They didn't say a word and left the compound, Slaymama stood up touched her forehead.

Three weeks later, Smile has finally healed and Eva isn't yet back.
He returned from church that evening from midweek service.
After taken dinner with Cyril, he studied for an hour and slept off.

Smile saw himself walking barefoot on a breach, the cold night breeze hits him and he shivered in cold. He looked down the water and admired the moonlight that filtered inside the water.

Suddenly, he saw ropes tied around his hands and legs.
He tried to scream but sellotape has been sealed on his lips,
He struggled but felt a force pushing him into the big water body.
He sink deep inside the water and drawn.

Smile eyes opened wide in the darkroom, his body drenched in his own sweat,
breathing heavily. He knelt beside the bed and started praying.
He prayed for an hour, he got up and went outside the hostel 's room and looked at the moon in the sky.

He couldn't sleep till the day break.

His thoughts occupied of Eva, he looked up to the sky and drowned in contemplation.
-has she left him?
-is she okay?
-does she really worth fighting for?
These were his thoughts, he couldn't sleep. He stayed up thinking the whole night,
Till the night fade into a day.

The sittingroom is spacious and contains lots of expensive electronics.
The walls painted artistry with alluring colors,
and the curtails were the ones not for common men.
around the room, flowers were decorated adding artistry beauty to the room.

The landing of the staircase in the corner of the room is done majestically,
putting a lot of design for just beauty alone. A woman strode the staircase slowly with a beautiful smile glued to her face.
She could take a place of older Eva, but her little piercing eyes distinguished her.

"Happy birthday, honey" she said, a beautiful smile graced her face. Right at the expensive red couch, is a huge man with Eva glued to his body.
"Your daughter wants to travel back to school" the huge man with remarkable pot-belle threw at the woman who just came down from the staircase.

She exhaled and sat on the sofa adjacent to the one her husband is sitting, "so, she is now my daughter 'cause she wants to go back to school?" the woman replied with a question and grin registered on the corner of her lips. "Hahaha!" her husband bellowed in laughter.

"Dad and mom, you wanted me to stay back till it is my birthday, I have done so. Please, can I leave today?" Eva asked the both of them straightening up on the Sofa, her voice soft and her eyes lowered in plea.
The woman simply shrugged but her husband let out a short laugh.
"Is fine darling, you can go today, I'll be travelling" he replied and rose lazily from the sofa, he struggled to bend and kissed Eva on the forehead.
"Ain't you taking your daughter with you?" the woman threw at his disappearing mighty figure, he didn't respond. But he chuckled as he exit the sitting room.

"I have to go, mom" Eva told her mom and dropped a quick peck on her cheek and took the staircase, "are you sure, you don't want a birthday party?" her mother asked behind her with her raised voice.

"No, mom" Eva replied with a raised voice from the staircase.

In the hostel's room occupied by Smile and Cyril, with two other boys that are not in same department or level with them.
A Bible is placed betwixt Smile's legs as he watched confusingly on what the three people who are his room mates doing on the floor.
"I don check!" Cyril declared raising his hands up.
"Check kill you there, you hide card" of one them replied Cyril, glaring at him menacingly.

the other boy was looking at them arguing,
with clothe serving as fan on his right hand. The light has just gone and the room is hot, 'cause of one of them who cooked inside against the school hostel's policy.
"Onushi .. see the card" the one who accused Cyril of trying to outsmart them shouted at Cyril.
as he brought a card under Smile's bed, Cyril argued that the card he brought out isn't his.

They were shouting when the hall chairman appeared on the doorpost, all of them turned quietly towards him.
"Smile, come" he called Smile ignoring the others, Smile dropped the Bible betwixt his legs on the bed and followed him.
"You wan use Igbo sense" the one who was arguing with Cyril fired at him, Smile followed the hall master quietly till they got to downstairs were the SUG lodge is situated.

They walked to the common together, Smile stopped walking and a big frown appeared on his face as he saw Eva sitting on, one of the desk in the common room.
The hall chairman excused them and others who were reading in the common room were asked to go out by the hall chairman.
"Why are you here?" Smile asked Eva angrily, she smiled sweetly at him and he soften a bit.

All the angry words he has rehearsed seems to abandon him when he needed them the most, he charged in anger confusingly staring at Eva who was smiling and her eyebrows raised expecting more reactions.
"Forget it, just go!" he said defeated, he wanted to walk away when she hugged him from behind,
his anger melt away and a huge smile appeared on his face.

"Come with me" Eva told him and held his wrist, they walked out of the hostel quietly with their hands locked with each other.
she climbed a power bike and asked Smile to climb on.
He did, and she rode them out of the campus,
"You are har***" she told him and giggled, Smile looked away blushing in embarrassment.

A thatch bar in beach, close to a river bank. A bulb hung at the top, and a table underneath, two people sat on a plastic chair under the illumination of the light bulb.
"He did that to you?" Eva asked unbelievably,
Smile has just narrated what happened when she wasn't around.
"I also had a bad dream, that I was thrown into a sea tied up to drown" Smile told Eva who looked serious and agitated by what he was saying.

She felt bad, her eyes soft as she looked deep into his eyes. She touch his cheek "am here now, nothing is gonna happen to you, okay" she told him and Smile nodded.
She stood up and gestured Smile to stand up, he did.
Eva was the first to run off on the river bank towards the side that is dark, Smile followed. the moonlight lightening their paths.

When she got to were no eyes can see them or people will think of coming, she fell on the ground and exhaled rapidly.
Smile fell beside her, and both of them laugh happily.
Her face became serious, she faced Smile.

A smile graced her face "promise me, you won't forget or will always remember me of this moment, when memories fails me?" She told him smiling, Smile nodded slowly and muttered "I promise".
She ki** him softly on the li**, and strad*** him.

His hands roaming her back as the ki** became intense, she removed her armless shirt and unclas*** her br*, Smile moved his hands around her body confusingly not knowing what to do.

She helped him lower his short and boxer, she bent and ki*** him slowly nibbling his ears.
He groaned in excitement, she directed his hands to her bo*** and he squeezed gently.
"Aaahh!" she sighed in pleasure letting out a low mo***

Smile breathe quicken as Eva wrapped her hand around his ha** d*** and jer*** him slowly, he gasped and beads of sweat formed around his forehead.
"Somethi..ng i..s co..mi..ng" he stuttered in pleasure, she giggled innocently and released his h*** member from her hold.

She unbuttoned her bumshort and slipped it down to her legs,
"What are you doing?" Smile asked innocently, Eva giggled in response and sat down on his abdomen.
She shifted her p*** aside,
and held his ha** d*** and positioned it in her dripping w** opening.

she lowered herself on it "ahhh" she exhaled in pleasure sighing,
Smile tighten his face in pleasure, Eva giggled at the funny look plastered on his face.
she rode him slowly and increased her pace every calculated minute, loud gro*** and mo*** filled the air.

"Aahhaaaaaaa!" Smile gruntled moa**** within clenched teeth making a funny face as he thr*** in deep involuntarily and spurted his c** deep inside her pu**.
His throaty gro** and explosion triggered Eva's om**, her om** washed all over her body.

Both of them were quiet, as the wave was the only rumbling sounds that you could hear from the dimly lit environment by the moon.
Eva cleared her throat "he was my childhood friend,
We were inseparable even if he is older than me." she let out a hot breathe.
"I was in my senior secondary when the attraction we had for each other became likeness,
then we fell in love with each other" she told him and cleaned the tears forming in her eyes.

"Things fell apart, when we started dating. He will initiate me in different kind of bad habit,
like smoking and going to club, I couldn't tell anyone. I was afraid to loose him" she said with her broken voice as memories replayed in her mind.
"He threatened me to be a cultist or we will breakup,
I was so scared of loosing him that I became a cultist. I was brutally f*** in turns that night that I ceased to become daddy's little Hadija" she told him and started laughing insanely as drop of tears tickle down her eyelids, Smile held her close to himself.
"It is fine, my love" he said to her, she raised her head up from his arms and looked deep inside his eyes.
He nodded slowly, and both lips entangled for a sweet kiss.

At Eva's compound, the night was dark as Li and Tasha stayed out waiting patiently for her.
They wondered why she isn't picking up her calls.
Car horn was blared outside and one of the White Angel went and opened the gate.
A car drove in, Li and Tasha stared at the car expectantly but were surprised to see Slaymama came down from the car with some of her girls.

Li hissed disgustingly and touched her gun if it is were she has kept it earlier,
She nodded in satisfaction after she confirmed her curiosity.
Before Slaymama could even get closer to them, "why are the bangas out tonight?" Li threw at them.

"Eyes no see, ear no tell" Slaymama replied and she nodded.
"When men were men where were you?" Li asked her narrowing her eyes.
"Li!" Tasha called her name and gasped.
Li raised her hands up in surrender,
"I was hiding in the shelter of my senior men,
who made me a man,
who ordained me,
who makes me who I am,
orders me to stand by under the shadow of the gods Odin.
so that I may not be affected by the kutokuto that happened on that rugged day,
that bastards blood were spilled" Slaymama replied her.

"Rugged you General, after you na you o! Ag's mate!" her second in command shouted.

"Rugged!" her girls chorused behind.

The gate was opened and Eva rode inside the compound with her power bike, she removed the helmet she wore and straightened her long and smooth hairs.
She saw Slaymama and her girls, "babe, how far?" she threw at Slaymama like she has been her friend all the while.

"In the face of war, brothers become brothers,
foes become friends. I pay my undying regard to you" she told Eva who shook her and giggled.

She raised her eyebrows at Li and Tasha, both of them responded with innocent shrugs.
she asked them to come in and they all went in,
Eva went inside and took her bath, while the green queens were entertained at the sittingroom

She came down with a white robe tied around her body,
with a shower cap on her head. she radiate beauty that appeals the soul to contemplation.
she slummed on the couch that Li and Tasha are, the room became tensed as everyone listened.
"Eva, firstly I apologize for what I did, as of now. We have one common enemy, I am here to sail with the ship that haunt the bloody rugged shaking tree" Slaymama spoke calmly as everyone listen.

"Isn't easy, the rugged old spirit you seek to fall. knows the jungle more than anyone,
but every beginning has an end" Eva replied and stood up.

"Are you saying we can't defeat him, even if we join forces together?" Slaymama asked Eva unbelievably. She nodded slowly.

"But... I have a plan, let's just wait" she told Slaymama and went upstairs as the room became noisy with murmurings from every corner.

In the hostel, after the second semester exam.
there was a loud music playing from the common room as people party to mark the end of the section.
when a gun shots was heard outside, people started running for their life, the gunshots continued as people in their hostel rooms started wondering what is going on.
"I, general Igbudu. nobody challenge" he shouted outside the hostel, a loud serene was heard from distance as the new VC has determined to end the terrorism of cultism in the school.
