Episode 21


Even with the loud serene coming from distance towards them,
Igbudu and his guys remained were they are.
"Nothing dey happen, the day isn't afraid of the night neither the night afraid of the day" he said and shot thrice again in the air.

The police van parked at the tarred road that separated the hostel blocks from the lecture halls.
Police men came down from the van with their guns, seven police officers in number.
"Aro mate!" Igbudu shouted.

"Aro!" His boys chorused.

"Excess o" he said and shot several times in the air repeatedly.

"Bloody!" His boys joined him in shooting.

The seven police officers shivered at the sound of their guns,
"Who dey give all these children this kind gun?" One of the police officer asked.
"You dey ask me?" his comrade replied him with a question.

"The police are here, drop your weapons or face the wrath of Nigeria police officers" one of them announced with a raised voice.

"There are the chosen ones by Odin, amongst the chosen ones, there are selected ones and amongst the selected ones,
are the dedicated ones.
arikperere!" He shouted and started shooting in the air.

"Fire!" His boys echoed and joined him.
"Madness" one of the police officers told his comrade and spat.
They approach them and shot at them,
the light coming from the hostel's window illuminated the environment dimly.

The retaliation was quick and Igbudu shot sporadically towards them with reckless abandon,
"Aaahh!" his bullet hit one policeman and he fell down flat bleeding,
others took cover in trees or other hostel blocks and shoot at them.

"Allow me o, allow me o, orientation matters a lot" Igbudu raised a song and his boys sang alongside with him,
They encircled him singing and shooting.

The other policemen who had gone into hiding, called for reinforcement.
Two police vans drove to were the other one was,
and several police men jumped down from the vans and fired towards them.

The hall chairman came down from the staircase,
and stopped at the second floor landing and knocked on the door were Smile's stays.

No response, he turned the door knob and saw everyone laid under their bed shivering in fear.
He stepped in and roamed his eyes around, the gun battle betwixt Igbudu and the policemen was still going on and gun sounds could be heard from outside.

"Smile!" He called with his baritone voice, Smile almost peed in his trouser fearing it will be Igbudu "Jesus!" he shouted.

The hall chairman couldn't help it, he held his stomach and laughed insanely falling on the bed.

Igbudu fired fearlessly at the police officers who were shooting at him, the police officers wondered if their bullets were really going towards their direction.
"I get children o, those boys get odeshi" one of the police officers who laid on the field told his colleague beside him.

"I don commot here o, how much them dey pay me sef wey I go die here" the other one replied, and stood up and ran inside the van.
The moment he started the van other police officers ran into it and the others vans too were started,
Then drove out of the main campus.

"I, General Igbudu I say nobody murmur, heads go roll, blood go flow!" He declared and shot twice in the air.

"Igbudu!"

"Igbudu Laeaee...!" His second in command called his name and whistle around him.

He nodded, and walked to the hostel block that Smile's stays in with his boys carrying guns behind him.
He walked pass the Sug lodge and took the stairs,
He got to the second floor and studied the doorpost were the rooms number are.

He nodded, and walked to one of the door. He kicked the door and it forcefully open,
"Smile!" He thundered and no response from the people laid on under their beds.

"Iffa count two, if ona no stand up from under that bed ehnn... I go blow ona head commot" he told them.
"One!" He counted mercilessly.
Immediately the three people under their beds were on their feet,
shivering before him.

He stared at their faces one after the other and placed a cigarette betwixt his lips, and lit it.
He started smoking watching them one after the other.
After he was done, he nodded and left the hostel room.

One of Smile's room mate peed in his short, Cyril sighted when he was doing it and chuckled "guy, you don piss for boxer!" he exclaimed and the other of his room mate joined in laughing.

The hall chairman and Smile sat on his bed waiting patiently,
a call came in, the hostel chairman picked his phone and placed it on his ear "is he with you?" Eva's voice asked from the phone speaker.

"Yes" he replied mumbling so that Smile won't hear him,
the call ended. at this point of time Smile has already slept off.

In a big sittingroom,
a flat screen television fixed on the wall and a lady broadcaster was reading out news
"David Jeff, popularly called Igbudu and the leader of Fine Boys fraternity has been declared wanted by the school authority..." The lady said.

Igbudu who sat smoking unconcerned by the news on the couch,
His phone rang and he ordered his boy who held the remote to lower the volume
"Old boy, how em dey be?" He said into the receiver.

"What is wrong with you? why will you go about killing police officers?" the voice from the phone's speaker asked angrily.

"Them challenge, no worry. I go soon delete that shaking tree wey be VC, just chill" he replied.

"If you are caught to call my name, hope you are making everything possible to win Hadija's heart?" The voice asked.

"Yes" Igbudu replied dryly and the call ended.

As early as 5am the next day, the whole blocks were busy.
students were dragging on who to take his bath unlike before,
some people who has taken their bath earlier were carrying their boxes home.
others were making everything humanly possible to leave immediately,
several dead bodies of police officers were outside the hostel environment.
Parents drove in taking their children home,
the news of the gun battle has spread round the country and it is a thing of great concern to their love ones.
Smile's parents were already waiting for him outside the hostel.

Episode 23


Outside the compound, the incessant shooting at the vans made it caught fire,
all the vans on the role blow up killing most of the soldiers and others who were able to escape the fire lost consciousness.
"Gbuu!" one of the cultist shouted.

"War!" others echoed jumping up happily.

At the gate, the two cultist station there, were at the gate,
when they saw a different troop from the normal day to day soldiers.
"Gasala don burst, movement!" One of them shouted at the one who was busy smoking inside the security post room,
he was watching outside standing at the gate made of iron bars.

He came out quickly and looked towards the gate that is arranged in bars,
he saw the vans and the soldiers.
"I say chase!" the other one shouted and cracked his gun.

"You dey mad? na special squad be that" he replied angrily holding his shirt's collar.
"Movement" he drag him along, as both of them ran off from the gate,
a phone placed to one of them ear "Jaja, don lap oh..we don disembark, we go dey on second deck" he spoke into the receiver breathing heavily as they ran ahead.

Inside the room, the shoulder man grabbed Igbudu neck strangling him. He struggled to breathe,
he brought out a knife from his trouser pocket and stabbed his leg.
"Aaahh!" he groa*** in pain.
He still clenched his teeth in pain and held on to his neck,
he brought out another knife from the other side and stabbed his other leg.

"Aaahh!" he cried out and let go of Igbudu,
who turned immediately and shot the soldier man thrice and he fell.
He looked around the room,
And smiled as the bead on his wrist emanate greenlight.

"Eyes no see, ear no hear. There is no murder force is greater than general Igbudu" he said boastfully and walked close to the wall.

"Taaarrrhh!" he shouted and slapped the wall twice,
The next one, he grabbed the VC out of the wall and kicked him to the floor.
He didn't wait for him to beg him further,
he shot him twice and the bullet fell off from his body without 'causing harm.

He chuckled and cracked his gun twice,
he removed a tied clothe from his wrist and tied it on the gun.
The VC scampered up from the floor and wanted to run,
Igbudu shot at his leg and he leaped.

He shot him thrice on his head and ran off,
The VC head was blown off by the bullets and fell off.
Igbudu climbed down the staircase and saw his men still on the floor on bad condition.

He shook his head, the two will slow down their escape "aye!"

"ayo!" he shouted raising his gun up twice and shot both of them dead.
He went out and met the other of his men outside the house.
They ran out of the compound and met the others preparing a bus to escape,
"Level don change o" one of them said and the others ran into the bus and it was driven out of that VC's house.

After some minutes rugged looking military men with padlocks on their lips appeared in the scene,
they came down from their vans and went into the house.
After they were done ransacking the house,
They came out and drove towards the direction the bus ran off earlier.

The bus arrived on a wall, and all of them came down and jumped through the fence and landed the other side,
Speed boats were already there.
The two of their men who left the gate earlier was waiting for them,
Everyone took position on the speed boat and they sailed away.

The military vans arrived at the place were the bus was parked and came down,
when they confirmed the bus was empty, they all were scattered in group for the search of them.
Some of them went through the fence and saw a river,
The leader of the troop was with them.
He called the station.

The next day, the news was everywhere that Igbudu and his gang has killed the VC.
At government House, his father a minister came out of the Government house because of the rumours going around that his son has done something incriminating.

At the sight of him, press representatives ran after him "sir, sir, did your son killed the VC" one of the male press member threw at him.
"Is it true he has done all what he was accused of, killing the VC who declared him wanted days ago proves it?" another threw at him.

He faced them and pretended to be laughing,
"How can somebody who took a flight out of the country kill from were he is, we are looking into it. The perpetrators of this mean act will be caught and brought for justice, I promise" he replied their questions and walked away as his bodyguards formed blockade against the persistent press representatives who were still throwing more questions.

Igbudu was watching the press interview with smoke dangling on his face,
he stood up and smile.
"Tight old boy" he mumbled and placed the cigarette back to his lips.

After several Months of holiday, the school resumed back for another section.
Smile went out of the school campus to a self-contained apartment and shared with Cyril.

He moved in with his box when his parents drove him to school,
after some few weeks him and Cyril settled in the apartment.
Smile was inside the kitchen when Cyril came into the room looking famished and tired.

He fell on the bed,
what can be seen in the room is fan and reading desks with lots of books arranged properly.
"Oboy, wetin you dey cook for kitchen?" Cyril asked Smile when he heard clattering sounds from the kitchen.

"I dey cook rice" Smile replied. "Oooohhh... Why you cook rice na? na only Indomie and beans you sabi cook" Cyril flared up standing from the bed.

He went to the kitchen and met Smile struggling with onions,
tears was flowing down his eyes as he Smile slice the onions into reasonable size.
Cyril burst out laughing and a knock landed on the door immediately afterwards.

"Guy, go check who dey the door my continue the cooking" he told Smile, and snatched the knife from Smile's hand.
Smile cleaned the tears from his eyes with his clothe.

He opened the door and gasped in surprise.

-Episode 24


Smile gasped in surprise and chuckled,
Eva giggled and went into his arms and their lips clicked.
They started kissing as they walk in sluggishly and fell on the bed,
Eva on top of Smile.
Li walked in slowly and looked around the apartment,
Eva sniffled in and smelt the scent of the food coming from the kitchen.

"Wow, my baby is cooking" she blurted out and stood up then start walking towards the kitchen,
Smile stood up from the bed and walked nervously towards the kitchen.
"Cyboy, wetin you dey cook?" she threw at Cyril who is about putting the washed rice inside the pot on fire.

"Rice o" he replied,
Smile appeared at Eva's side and leaned beside the doorpost.
"I think say na em dey cook am sef" Eva chipped in eyeing Smile who shrugged his shoulder.
After the food was brought down from fire,

All of them moved to the room from the kitchen and gathered around the dished out food on a big plate,
in no time spoons started digging inside the food.

When they were done eating,
they settled and started gisting. Towards evening "baby, let's go to my house" Eva told Smile lying on his body.
"No problem" Smile replied but he was still afraid of going to that house.
"I wan come o" Cyril said.
Smile eyed him, the four of them came out of the apartment.
They entered inside Eva's car and drove out.

The car drove into Eva's compound and stopped,
Eva was the first to step out of the car.
"Welcome to my humble abode" she told Smile and Cyril spreading her hands,
Cyril looked around in amazement.

They went inside the house together talking and laughing,
When they are in the sittingroom.
Eva grabbed Smile's wrist and whispered with hot breathe "I need you".

Both of them took the staircase leaving Li and Cyril behind,
The door to Eva's room burst open and both of them walked in kissing.
In no time,
Their wears was flung off from their body and both of them fell on the bed

He laid on Eva and struggled to find her opening,
she giggled and held his h*** member and positioned it.
A quick thru*** he find himself deep in her sweet canal.

He started moving his waist up and down slamming into her w** pu***,
the room was aired with loud gro*** and mo***.
she rolled him over and sat on him,
her eyes flicked in pleasure.
she held his h*** d*** and let his tip slip into her,
she giggled and slammed in.

and groa*** excitedly repeating the same action,
she placed on two hands on his chest and rode him violently.
she slipped her hand to her nether and started rubbing her cl** vigorously,
she increased the tempo as the aired gro*** and mo*** became louder.

He spurted his warm c** deep inside her and she clima*** biting his shoulder "aahh" Smile groaned in pain.
Eva giggled,
"that is a mark of good s**" she told him and stepped down from the bed naked,
she disappeared inside the bathroom and Smile slept off before she could return.

The next morning,
Smile woke up and find Eva on him.
"Let me s*** you" she told him.
he shook head and she giggled,
"Sleepyhead, get up!" she said and climbed down from him.
They took their bath one after the other,
after they were done.
They came down for breakfast,
Tasha, Cyril, with Li are laughing loudly in the sittingroom.

Eva was in front as they descend the staircase,
"Mrs Smile, you look so happy" Li said and everyone laughed.
"I'll not marry somebody that can't give me morning s**" Eva replied and rolled her eyes,
everyone laughed except Smile who tried to defend himself.

After they settled on different couch,
Eva and Smile occupied one.
And Cyril sat betwixt Li and Tasha,
"Why are you sitting in the midst of them?" Smile asked Cyril who glared at him.
"Em concern you?" Cyril retorted and everyone laughed.

"Cuties feel free to touch me" Cyril said and relaxed himself,
he put his hands on their shoulders.
Everyone went into another round of frenzy laughter,
Tasha removed his hand but Li didn't.

Tasha cleared his throat "the couples in the house,
listen. I have bought tickets for everyone to see a movie in a cinema tonight" she said and everyone clapped for her.

"What is the title of the movie?" Smile asked,
"Lovers pain" she replied and everyone cheered her.

In an enclosed hall,
A big screen on the wall displaying pictures and the spectators seat is dimly lit by faint blue light.
As everyone attention glued to the screen,
Li and Cyril sat close to each other while Eva leaned on Smile's body watching the movie.

"If I'll die because of love, I'll Jonah. I love you so much... Gbuuu" these were sounds coming from the movie as the protagonist was shot.

√The movie was all about a couple who lives in different world,
and the protagonist who is a male from a very poor family met and fell in love with a girl from a rich family whose family doesn't want him for their daughter.
After so many efforts from the girl's parents side to separate them,
It all failed.
So, they killed the lover boy who is the protagonist and the movie ended there√

Eva leaned her face closely to Smile's face "promise, you will never leave me" she told him.

"I promise, I'll never leave you" he replied and their lips clicked,
after they disengaged from the kiss they saw Li and Cyril trying to have s*** in the cinema hall.
Smile whistled but Eva simply giggled.

After Smile was done for the exam for the Semester,
His father has instructed him to come to his lodge immediately he is through 'cause he will be waiting to take him home for the section.

He took a carb without checking if anyone was with him in the carb,
He called his father to confirm if he is waiting for him in his lodge.
He looked around the carb and saw no other passengers except him.

He exhaled and relaxed,
"Where are you taking me to?" He asked the driver when he drove past the carb park.
"I wan go outside school" the carb man replied and he relaxed.

When they got to outside school,
the carb stopped and Smile stepped out to see different people pointing guns at him close to the express.
"How far?" Igbudu asked and signaled his boys to take him inside the car.

He tried to run but one of his men knock him out.
They carried him into the car and zoomed off,
and the carb returned inside the school campus.

-Episode 25


Eva and Cyril stepped out of the examination hall smiling,
She brought out her phone from her handbag and dialed Smile's phone number and placed a call to him.
his phone rang and no response,
she tried it again,
again, again.
she sighed and walked towards her car parked under a tree at the permanent lecture halls environment.

She entered inside her car and Cyril sat beside her,
"You call your friend?" she asked Cyril and he nodded affirmatively.
her eyes narrowed in expectation "em no pick" he replied.
Worries graced her face,
she became restless as she geared the car into moving out of the campus,
she was about moving out of the school's second gate when she saw that the school sheriffs stationed there,
are hiding inside their duty post rooms,
she slowed the car and killed the engine.

She walked to one of the duty post rooms that are opposite each other,
she knocked and heard muffling sounds from inside.
She knocked again and heard faint foot-falls coming towards the door from inside,
The door was opened by an old man who exhaled in relief when he saw Eva.
"Wetin happen for here?" Eva asked him smiling sweetly,
the man's eyes still held fear and his lips trembled to speak.

"Na Igbudu kidnap one boy like that" he replied Eva,
her eyes widen and looked towards the direction the man pointed to,
a place were carbs park outside the school campus fence.
She walked towards that direction,
Cyril came down from the car and followed her.
When she got to were Igbudu kidnapped Smile,
she looked around the place and saw the lines the tyre created.

She picked Smile's phone on the ground,
Cyril came out and joined her.
both of them stared at the phone like it was a ghost "na Smile be this" Cyril told her.
Eva tapped the screen and her picture displayed as the screensaver.
"Go check am for house" Eva said,
Cyril ran towards the main road and waved taxi.

A taxi stopped and he entered then drove out,
Smile became confuse as she thought of next action she will take.
She dialed a number of the commissioner of police,
he picked.
"Good evening, sir" he said into the receiver.
"Hadija, how are you?" the baritone tone replied from the phone's speaker.
"Not fine, sir" she told him.
"Why?" He asked.
she walks into the campus explaining who Smile is to him,
and how Igbudu kidnapped him.

She entered inside her car "don't worry Hadija, I'll send my men to search for him immediately" the commissioner replied,
she ended call without satisfactory grin appearing at the corner of her lips,
she dialed another number "Li, send messages to all the units,
White Angels should search for Igbudu and produce Smile, immediately" she said into the receiver and ended the call,
she sped out of the campus.

Cyril arrived at the lodge he shared with Smile,
and saw Smile's father standing at the front of the major entrance protector looking angry.
"Good evening, sir" he greeted the angry looking tall man,
tall black and chubby.
Even at the age he is, he still look handsome with his curled hairs,
he looks like half-caste.
"For God sake, where is my son?" He demanded sharply,
"He has been kidnapped" Cyril replied looking sad and almost close to tears.

"Jesus Christ!" He retorted,
he became confuse on what to do,
Cyril sat on the pavement of the apartment.
He clenched his fist and walked to his car without saying any word to Cyril.

In car,
Eva and Li with Tasha were the ones inside it.
she drove crazily and parked at a house gate,
she came down with Li and Tasha who trailed behind.
She knocked the gateway open with a kick and entered,
the sun was gradually leaving the azure sky completely.
She looked around and met no one in the compound of the house,
she went inside with Li and Tasha.

After searching the house for some time,
they came out looking disappointed and sad.
"We have searched everywhere,
Smile where are you?" she said loudly with broken voice.
Li and Tasha were concerned about her,
a call came into her phone and she quickly picked the call.
"Is it the commissioner of police?" Li asked and Eva simply nodded.

"My boys can't find Igbudu in the state,
call other states commissioners" the voice spoke from the phone's speaker.
"Thank you, sir" Eva replied.
She waved Li and Tasha,
and they left the compound together.

Inside a church,
Smile's father knelt before the alter,
tears rolling down his eyes.
"Help my son, father!" He cried out,
the church was empty 'cause no other person is there with him,
the benches were empty and bulbs illuminated the vast beautiful hall.

Outside the compound is very dark,
as the bulbs placed outside the compound tried to illuminate the vast compound.
"You said those who wait on you,
Shall not be put to shame" his voice could be heard outside.

A car drove slowly on the bridge and parked,
Igbudu came down from the car with two of his men,
Two huge bouncers emerge from the car.
"Bring the sacrifice" he told the two of them and released smokes in the air,
Two of his men walked to the car's booth and brought a person,
who was tied from behind and his legs tied together with ropes,
Sellotape sealed his lips.
"Throw am overboard" he told his two men,
and two of them carried Smile up from the ground,
he struggled with them but they are stronger.

A car headlights coming from opposite direction flashed out them,
The men threw him out of the bridge and he landed in the river passing under the bridge.

The car coming from the opposite direction slowed down and stopped,
Igbudu stopped smoking and watch the car closely.
All of a sudden gun shot was heard from that direction.

Episode 26


Igbudu removed the cigarette from his lips and watched the car suspiciously as it slow down,
it shiny headlights prevented him from seeing further.
he quickly brought out his gun from were he had tucked it,
A gunshot was heard and bullets flee sporadically towards the direction of Igbudu and his guys.

"Aaaahhh!" One of his men hit by the bullet fell down bleeding,
the other was shot before he could take cover behind the car.
"Taaarrrhh, the sweetness of madness is best known to a madman" he shouted and hit his chest as bullets fell down from his body without harming him.

He shot at the car but he could barely see anything,
the bullets from the other direction is increasing in it numbers.
the necklace he wore around his neck is emanating red lights,
he quickly ran into the shattered car by bullets and geared it into moving,
his assailants chased after him.

The car was almost close to his as they rain bullets at his car,
he quickly swerve his car to different direction and the other car ran into his,
the loud slamming of the car made the car occupied by Igbudu to spin round,
hitting the bricks that is attached to the bridge.

The other car occupied by his assailant bonnet pulled out,
everywhere remained quiet for sometime.
The door to the car occupied by Igbudu opened and he crawled out of it.
bleeding from the cuts on his body,
he laid on the ground gasping for life.

In no time a car moved to this direction,
he smiled wryly as he noticed the car belong to his men.
that he had asked to stay close to the bridge and come at once when there is any gun battle.
He rose his hand weakly as he groaned in pains,
The car slow down and two guys came down from the car.

And carried him inside and they drove off,
the backdoor of the car occupied by the assailants that attacked Igbudu opened,
and a man crawled down from the car.
and rolled on the ground, two others came down from the back seat.

Three of them remained on the ground.

Earlier,
Under the bridge is a river,
a man with a boat and two others on it saw something falling down from the high bridge.

they were setting net for fishes with torchlight tied to their foreheads,
immediately they saw it.
"Wetin be that?" one of them asked his fellow.
"that thing na human being" one of them replied.
Immediately two of them dived into the river and swam towards the fallen body.

They went under the water and swam out with Smile,
He was subconscious when he was brought out of the water.
They swam towards the boat and put him on the boat,
a loud gunshots was heard on the bridge.
as fear grieved those fishermen,
as they quickly paddle the boat out of the river.

5am.
Eva came out of her house,
with Li and Tasha coming out too from behind.
"Eva, are you sure, you wanna see his corpse?" Li asked yawning.
"Li!" Tasha shouted at Eva.
Li shrugged, "he isn't dead, he can't die" Eva replied with a low voice.

She walked to the car and entered,
Li and Tasha followed from behind.
Eva started the car and one white Angel girl ran to the gate and opened the gate,
Eva drove the car out of the compound,
and the white Angel who opened the gate earlier closed it.

In an office,
Eva sat on a chair opposite a man and Li, with Tasha stood behind her.
"after our divers have searched through the water,
We can't find his body" he told them.

Eva became confuse "what do you mean, sir?" she asked him.
"The thing is, probably he isn't in the river or something has devoured him in the water" the man maintained his stance.
"Can you guys still search?" Eva asked,
she can't accept not seeing his body.
"I am sorry, we can't do anything further" the man replied and shrugged.

Eva wanted to speak but Li tapped her shoulder,
she looked at her with teary eyes.
"Thank you, sir" Tasha thanked the old man,
and three of them left the room.

Eva,
Tasha and Li sat on a couch viewing the flat screen television on the wall.
"Look" Tasha pointed at the screen.
Eva raised her head and saw the picture of Smile,
a smile graced her face and her heart was warmth by it, an euphoria feeling.
A puzzled look appear on her face,
she wonder what his picture is doing on the screen.

The picture slide,
and on the screen is a crop picture of Smile and his father appeared on the screen.
Li quickly grabbed the remote and raised the volume of the television.
"Please, if you are with my son.
Bring him back to me,
He is my only son and i don't want to loose him, he is all I have in the world.
whoever find him will be given a huge sum of money" his voice sounded from the television speaker.

"This man fine die,
I no go mind give am four rounds freely oh" Li said and Tasha glared at her,
she shrugged and mused.
Eva stood up and Li, Tasha looked up at her.
"Is time, I'll be going on a journey of death" she told two of them who looked at her in confusion.

"Where are you going?" Li asked her, but she ignored and picked the car key then drove out of the compound.

In a room that looks like chamber,
a woman tied white wrapper sat on the floor,

She raised one hand,
and Eva brought out a picture of Igbudu and put it inside the pot of smoke,

"Yes" she replied.
"You shall know no man except him, if you do, he will kill you and the only way to kill him,
is to make him respond to his name" the woman finished speaking and the smoke in the room gone off.

"Thank you, mother" Eva said to her and bowed before leaving.

On the hospital bed is Igbudu with his men smoking beside him,
two of his guys were smoking with him as bandage were on the places he had cuts.
A nurse walked in,
she glared at the two other rugged looking guys and walked to Igbudu.
"Here is a hospital can you guys stop smoking?" she asked looking at their faces one after the other.

She has been transferred to take care of him,
for the week and she started that particular noon that she walks in to see them smoking.
They acted like she never existed in their midst as they allow the smokes stride to form a rope,
ashtray is on the refrigerator in the room.

"Is time for your injection" she told him and readied the needle,
he gave one of his men beside the refrigerator his cigarette and stretched out his hand.
"Aaaahh" he groa*** playfully as someone who was about to clima*** when she injected him.
"Hahaha!" the other guys with him laughed.

The nurse squeezed her face angrily,
she wore frown and readied to leave when Igbudu grabbed her b** and squeezed "are you mad?!" she thundered and allowed the medical tray she held drop to the floor,
she slapped him and the whole room stood still.

Igbudu shook his head repeatedly to recollect what happened and the nurse kept on eyeing him "I, general Igbudu, you get liver slap me?" he asked looking dangerously,
the nurse shivered but stood her stand "don't try that nonsense with me" she replied and hissed,
she tried to leave but the door was already locked and the key is with one of Igbudu 's men.

She wanted to snatch the key from the other man's hand,
when Igbudu stood up from the bed and ripped off her nurse pinafore "what!" she exclaimed.
he gave her a slap and threw her to the bed,
and pounced on her.
He ripped off her pant within a minute,
"Rape!!! Help!!!" she cried out.

He removed his short and joined her on the bed,
she tried to kick him off but he held her both legs looking very angry,
and dragged her off from the wall to himself.
He spread her legs and thrus*** in without caution,
"Aaaahhh! Aaaahhh!" she cried and mo***,

The two of his men pulled their trouser and were on their boxers,

he took the bag she came with and took the packaged food inside,

He chewed and dug the rice hungrily,
until the plate is empty,
She gave her the juice she bought and he opened it and gulped down half of the content,

Cyril came down from a taxi and paid the driver,
he turned and faced a compound fenced round with an old gate.
at the wall of the shoe is a young lady under an umbrella selling recharge card,
and some other shops with a man working on a machine at the front of his shop.
Cyril exhaled sadly and walked inside the compound.

He mumbled in response to some greetings,
he was still grumbling about what he read from the library when he notice some sudden changes,
the padlock he placed on the gate before going to school was no longer there.
he walked hurried and opened the protector,
he turned the door knob slowly like he is expecting a thief to be inside.

He stepped in and his eyes hovered around the room sharply,
his eyes widen and his mouth went dry,
as he gasped in surprise.

"Smile!" Cyril screamed happily and slapped him so hard on the bed,
he rolled and woke up, then laughed.
"How come?" he asked with so much interest.
Both of them sat on the bed.
"Umh... Umhh.." Smile cleared his throat.
Cyril nudged him.

"I was rescued by some fishermen" he replied Cyril,
and his eyes lit up.
"Eva!" he said and stood up,
He grabbed Cyril's phone.
"Hey you shouldn't call her now" Cyril told Smile.
He frowned and still dialed the number,
the phone rang and she picked.

He inhaled happily,
"Cyril?!" Eva's voice sounded from the phone speaker.
"My star" Smile replied smiling broadly.

At Igbudu's house, in Igbudu bedroom.
She stood beside the bed with white towel tied around her body and a phone placed on her ear.
the bathroom door opened and Igbudu stepped in,
he looked at her suspiciously "who is that honey?" he asked her.
"my ex boyfriend" she replied him and ended the call.

Igbudu came was close to her and he wrapped his hands around her waist and draw her close to himself, he also wore towel and she wore shower cap.
both of their lips clicked, "I can't have enough of you, let us go and do it in the bathroom" he mumbled burying his mouth on her shoulder.

"Bad boy" she teased him, two of them laughed loudly and went into the bathroom.

Smile held on to the phone on his ear as tears rolled down his cheeks,
Cyril stood up and shook.
"It is fine, bro... Girls full this world, make Eva park and go" Cyril said to him, he turned sharply and looked at him with his teary eyes.

"I can't" he shook his head vigorously and sat on the bed,
He buried his face in his palm and shook violently.
Cyril couldn't console or watch him cry, he disappeared inside the kitchen to prepare what he will eat.

the gate opened and a car drove inside the compound,
Eva came down from the car feeling tired.

He became so confuse and embraced Jenny,

"Let's leave" Eva begged Igbudu,

both of them tried to enter the car,
"Wait! you think you are too beautiful or I can't do without you, look here!" Smile shouted and everyone around stopped to watch them.

"Na drama them dey act?" one of the on-lookers asked his fellow who shrugged,
Smile kissed Jenny before everyone.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked Jenny,
Eva became shattered and almost gave up the acting.
A wicked grin appear at the corner of Igbudu's lips.

"Yes, yes!" Jenny screamed and locked her hands together happily in a girlie way,
onlookers started snapping those who cared to.

The car drove of the Library arena,
"Are you serious, Smile?" Jenny asked,
he nodded unconcerned as both of them walk out of the library.

"I am so tired of everything" Eva blurted out, resting her back on the car seat.
"should I end his life?" Igbudu asked grinning,
Eva's eyes widen in surprise.
"Can we just go on picnic, baby Jeff?" she asked musing,
he smiled broadly.
"Where?" he asked in response.
"Mountain, just you and I" she replied.

"Yes" he replied.

Smile walked dejectedly out of the library arena,
with Jenny who was glorifying that Smile's loves her beside him.
They walked pass the convocation arena, and stopped a carb going to the main gate of the campus.
Both of them entered "I am so, happy" Jenny said happily, Smile groaned in frustration.

She has failed to realize he wasn't happy,
Some minutes later they arrived at Smile's lodge,
both of them. Smile slummed on the bed and exhaled tiredly,
Jenny sat on him and locked eyes with him.
her eyes sparkle with lust, she lower her face and wanted to kiss him passionately,
Smile removed his face and yawned hungrily, "am so hungry, baby..." he said.


"Let me go and cook for my love" Jenny replied happily and jumped off from him,
and ran into the kitchen. Smile shook his head in pity,
he was so heartbroken that he slept off before Jenny could come and inquire what he would want to eat.
she frowned when she saw him sleeping,
but still went inside the kitchen and prepared what he will eat,
when she was done cooking. She still find him sleeping,
and it was getting late. She got up and wrote some letters in a teared sheet of paper, and dropped it on the bed side.

When Jenny left, an hour later Smile rolled and his phone vibrated, he jerked up and rubbed his sleeping eyes,
he took the phone and click on the message box.

His eyes bulged in the sockets, it was 9pm and Cyril was using the reading desk,
he got up and stretched, he walked to the kitchen and took a plate of rice, he devoured it.
but his mind was in conflict, as he didn't know the decision that he will take.
He walked to the bathroom and took his bath,
he came back and dressed up. He was about going out, "where are you going?" Cyril asked with a concerned voice.

"To see Eva" he replied and inhaled, "did she call or texted you?" he asked him, "text" Smile replied.
"What if it was Igbudu who sent that text message?" Cyril asked him.
Smile had a second thought, he brought out his phone and placed a call, her phone was switched off.
"Switch off" he mumbled incoherently.
"It must be that nama Igbudu" Cyril told him, he walked dejectedly and sat on the bed.

He drowned in his thoughts, he check the time and it was almost 10pm, he got up.
Cyril flashed him angry questionable look "my heart said, I should go" he said and walked out of the room,
Cyril shook his head and prayed for him.

He came out of the room and the cold night breeze graced his body,
he shivered due to the sudden cold. He walked out of the gate as the beaming moonlight in the sky illuminated his footpaths.
He flagged down a taxi and hop in, he got to his destination and paid the driver,
he walked into the beach and loud music and people were dancing,
he walked to the sides huts can be seen,
He got close to the stream were he couldn't see farther due to the absence of light.

He exhaled and braced himself, he walked on the streamline with calculative footsteps.
He saw a girl who stood before the stream looking up towards the moon,
she was on white panties "Eva!?" Smile called nervously,
"Am no longer Eva love" she said turning and beaming with her best charming smile.
Smile scratched his head nervously, "isn't what I meant" he replied walking closer.

"Where is your girlfriend?" She asked raising her eyebrows,
"At her house" Smile replied.
"Yours?" Smile asked her.
"Hades" she replied and sat on the wet sand,
she stretched her legs towards the flowing water on the streamline.
He squat beside her "what do you mean?" he asked in confusion.

"I killed him, he is a d***!" Eva replied and felt like crying,
she couldn't believe she has to kill her best friend and her first love,
She prevented the tears to flow down her cheeks.

A car drove towards the bottom of the mountain,
The door of the car opened and Eva ran out, and started climbing the mountain,
on the created path on the mountain, to be easy to access the mountain apex.
"Wait baby!" Igbudu called out to her, she didn't respond.
she got to a hideous path and brought a gun,
she loaded the gun quietly and waited till she heard his heavy foot-falls,
"Jeff baby, where are you?" Eva asked,
"Am here, darling" he replied.
she came out and shot him, the bullet penetrated his forehead,
he started bleeding from there "why?" he asked,
his eyes bloodshot. "Am sorry" Eva cried out and shot him once again, but the other bullets did no harm to him as they drop from his body.

He fell face down and died, Eva walked to him and searched him for his phone,
she dialed a number "he is death, Ugo mountain" she said into the the receiver and ended the call, she ran off from the mountain and entered the car, and sped out.

"I want to get cold, you are here to f*** out the cold from my body" she replied him and grabbed his neck,
she lowered his face and both lips clashed.

Li and Tasha,
were standing round Eva, she was sleeping on the bed.
She stirred and opened her eyes,
"Happy graduation day" both of them chanted and jumped on the bed,
"Thank you babies" Eva said and three of them giggled,
as they kissed each others on their cheeks.

The door opened and one of the white Angel girls who lived with them entered,
with a package in her hand.
"Regards to my Capon, I saw this outside the gate. Didn't see who dropped it, but your name is written on it" the girl said and hand over the package.
Eva took it and smiled, "it must be from my darling boyfriend" Eva said blushing, "awww.." Li and Tasha mused pretending to be jealous.
Eva opened the package and looked inside,
sudden frown appeared on her face, she turned the package upside down and a gun tied with white clothe fell off from it.
Her two friends became scared, "white Angels of death crusade banner" Li said and gasped for breathe.

"They are coming for you Eva" Tasha told her,
"Why?" Eva asked in confusion.
"No Capon leaves the school alive" Li replied, and felt pity for her friend.

Three of them sat on the bed dejectedly,
The room was quiet as a graveyard.
"Yes!!" Tasha exclaimed jabbing the air, three of them turned to her immediately.
They stared at her with questioning look, "I have a plan" she said smiling, Li rolled her eyes at her. She always have the best suggestion amongst them.

At the school convocation arena the next day,
the sun sat at East, as the daylight creep into blossom.
Within sometime, cars started arriving in the premises, around 9am.
People started arriving, smile were glued to faces with convocation gowns.
Some were busy taking pictures, in due time cars started arriving in the premises, in no time the area was crowded by people.

In no time, there was no space for cars to park.
The roadsides leading into the campus was filled with cars,
Smile and his parents arrived in the convocation arena.
Cyril was talking with someone, when he looked back and saw his friend "convocation boy!" He hailed and both of them started laughing.

They hugged chuckling, attracting attention.
"Good afternoon sir and ma" Cyril greeted grinning,
"Afternoon, my boy" Smile's father replied, placing his hand on his shoulder.
They were still standing and talking, when Eva arrived.

Immediately she sighted them, she sneak to Smile from behind,
and hugged him from behind.
Smile exhaled sharply when he scent her perfume.
He turned around and hugged her "you look dazzling" he teased her, she smack him on his arm softly and blushed profusely.

Smile and Eva were still engrossed with each other,
his father cleared his throat.
"Dad, mom, meet my girlfriend" Smile said to his parents.
"Good afternoon, sir" Eva greeted with humility,
she also greeted his mother.
"You truly a son of your father, you really have an eye for beautiful things" Smile's father said.

"Don't I know you?" Smile's mother said softly, looking closely on Eva's beautiful face.
Eva stiffened when she said that, her thought extend from her body roaming searchingly for memories were she has seen Smile's mother.
"You are the Minister's daughter, Hadija, right?" Smile's mother asked.
Eva exhaled in relief, and nodded slowly.

Smile stared at them in confusion, "the graduating students should march in, we are about to start" a voice spoke from the stationed speakers,
"Honey, let's go and settle in one of the spectators seat, before it will be all occupied" Smile's father said, his wife and him left the trio.

Cyril's tucked his hands in his pockets and started whistling, as both lovers stared at each other without word coming from any of them.
"Why don't you tell me?" Smile asked with an angry voice,
Eva shook her head tiredly,
"Am sorry for this, am sorry for everything" she said holding back tears,
she has a lot of skeleton in her cupboard, how will she announce to him that this is her last day on Earth.
"Let's go" Smile told Cyril and walked
away with him, leaving Eva behind.

After sometime, the hall was filled to the brim, as all the spectator seats were filled with parents, children and well wishers.
At the mouth of the podium, the graduating students sat on the chairs with their convocation gowns radiating in their colors.
At the podium is the VC and an executive representative of the Government,
"The best graduating student is Smile..." The VC announced,
the room was aired with loud clapping from every corner.
Smile stood and walked towards the podium facing everyone,
He was given a gift and the cameraman captured the blissful moment,
He was given the microphone to speak "... Am grateful to the school administrators, and most grateful to my parents. Who has offered such an opportunity for me to be in this school..." Smile spoke,
Eva got up from her seat and walked away, Smile's eyes was on her as she left.

Eva stepped out of the campus tarred way, and entered an open field with lots of flowers around.
The area was deserted as everyone are present in the convocation arena,
Eva's eyes glow white as a clay pot was kept at the centre of the field emanating smoke.

The angels of death came out of their hidings,
Their foreheads tied with red piece of clothe.
Eva's eyes turned to the normal eyes, she turned around with fear.
As the seven white Angels of death surrounds her,
"Eyes no see, mouth no talk, the day isn't afraid of the night and the night isn't afraid of the day. Those who will feast with Odin are few, amongst the few are the chosen ones, and amongst the chosen ones are the selected ones" their leader said.

"Life and death" the leader said, as four gunshots was heard in the campus,
Those who were close ran away, the school securities are in the convocation arena.
Smile appeared close to that place, and saw Eva on the field lying,
He ran into the field and hold her to himself, sitting on the field.
"Wake up! Wake up!! Eva" he said tapping her cheek with his palm, her convocation gown was stained with her own blood.
she opened her eyes slowly, "am sorry, Smile" she said to him.

"Am not angry with you" he replied, tears falling from his eyes.
"Go, go! Run Smile" she told him.
He shook his head sideways, "run!" she said slowly and her eyes closed, police van was heard from afar.
"Don't leave me, Eva" Smile said crying,
He stood up and walked backward staring at Eva's body.
He still ran to her dead body and buried his face in her body,
"I love you, please don't leave me!" He cried out.
When the police van siren was close, he ran away.

FIVE YEARS LATER


"Pee - pee!" A car horned behind the gate,
the yard was a big one. when fenced round with grassy garden with recreational and aesthetic flowers planted in the gardens.
A two storey building, Smile's mother stepped out of the house and stood at the verandah dome that serves as entrance into the house.

"Adamu, open the gate!" she instructed the sleeping gateman on a bench in his duty post area,
He nearly dropped off to the floor when he was called.
he stood up and looked around, until he heard the blaring sound of the car.
He ran to the gate and opened it wide,
an expensive Lamborghini drove into the yard.

The gateman saluted, the car drove slowly and halted at the parking lot. One of the guard stationed in that area, opened the car door gingerly.
A young man stepped out, dressed with an expensive Italian suite with a shiny Italian shoe, his looks was breathe taking.

"My son" the woman who was out earlier said, and embraced him warmly.
"What of dad?" Smile asked, looking around the compound to see if he is anywhere close by.
"You know this political stuffs how it works" his mother replied.
"I missed you, mom" he said, and the woman went in with him.

In a room, the room was well decorated.
Large and oozing wealth, the large bed smelt wealth,
the walls sparkling like crystal, just at the edge of the bed is Smile who has grown into a young man.
He wore only a white t shirt and a short.

His head bent down and one of his arm push forward,
following his eyes, he was staring at a picture he held.
In the picture the image of smiling Eva is in it with him beside her.
His eyes formed tears, he used his back palm and rubbed his eyes.

In the sittingroom, Smile's mother was sitting on the sofa reading a newspaper when the doorbell was rang.
"Mark, check who is at the door" she instructed the bodyguard standing close to her,
he bow slightly and walked to the door.
He opened it and Jenny stepped in, Smile's mother tilted her head and saw a beautiful lady with the guard.

"Young lady" she called out to Jenny, who walked confidently towards her. "Good evening, ma" she greeted, the woman nodded in acknowledgement.
"Do I know you?" the woman asked.
"I guess ma, doctor Jenny" she replied and stretched out her hand for shake.
the woman responded to the gesture, "you are welcome to my humble abode" the woman told her beaming.

"Am your son's friend, Smile. Is he in?" she asked.
"Yes, take her to Smile's room, Mark" she instructed the guard, Jenny thanked her and followed the guard to the staircase.

In the night same day, Smile's family were all present in the dinning table,
immediately they drop their dinning spoons and forks, with knife.
his father drank water and exhaled in relief,
"Bless God" he proclaimed, and the entire family followed.
"Don't you think is high time you get married son, especially to that Jenny. She has been your childhood friend and now a well renowned doctor, son make a move while the sun is till in East" Smile mother said smiling graciously,
as he son gave her a playful frown.

"She is right son, you have achieved all you ought to achieve, is high time you show us your baby" his father said, chuckling.
Smile raised his hands in surrender, "alright, dad... Give me time to think about it" Smile replied both of them, they all nodded.

"That is my boy" his father said said and patted his back.

At Jenny's house,
it was Friday and she wasn't engaged in the morning and noon on Fridays,
she was relaxing in her house garden, when a car horned on her gate and the gateman rushed to the gate, to open it.
A car drove in and Smile emerged from the car, with his expensive casual wear.

"Who do we have here? The youngest CEO" she said grinning from ear to ear.
Smile laughed and both of them embraced,
"You never changed a bit, Jen" Smile said and kissed her cheek,
both of them went into the house instead of the garden.
When they got into the sittingroom, Jenny waved Smile to a seat.
and she sat, he stood in the middle his hands in his side pockets,
as he looked around the room with admiration.
"You have a nice house here" he complimented,
"Thank you" she replied, he walked towards her and she raised her eyebrows in confusion.

He knelt before her and brought out a ring box,
"Will you marry me Jenny?" he asked,
she covered her mouth with her palms, and tears rolled down her eyes.
"Yes, yes!" she said happily, and gave her hand to him.
He slipped the glittering gold ring in her finger,
and she kissed him.

"Promise me, you won't leave me for anyone" she told him, "yes, I promise" Smile replied.
they kissed again but this time, their clothes were leaving their bodies.

The next day evening,
The banquet hall was a big one, as men of honours were present. The president daughter's birthday brought so many men of prestige together,
Smile wouldn't have come but his father insist 'cause the president helped in graciously during his gubernatorial election.

Smile and his parents stood with his parents talking,
when the president appeared behind them.
A vibrant man who is full of energy, he respected everyone and associates with everyone like his own family.
He didn't regard himself highly, that is why he attained the position.

"My good governor" he called out to Smile's father, who turned sharply.
"My president" Smile's father replied, and shook hands with him.
"Is he your son?" He asked nodding towards Smile.
"Good evening, your Excellency" Smile greeted with admiration and shook hands with him.

He bellowed with laughter, when he was asked about a joke he cracked on the TV one of his leisure time.
"Meet my heartbeat, Hadija, my daughter" he said and a young beautiful lady appeared beside him, Smile glass of wine dropped off from his hand.

Episode 32


The glass of wine scattered on the floor like a broken glass,
everyone turned to Smile. But his face held disbelief and shock, "am sorry" he apologized, when he regained himself.

A young man appeared behind Eva and kissed her cheek,
Smile clenched his fist and fumed. "And her fiance, Edmond. They are getting marry two weeks later, I hope you will be available to attend, my good governor" the president announced,
"Excuse me" Smile said, and walked a way from the little gathering.

"Is something wrong with him?" The president asked Smile's parents, they shrugged in response.

Smile stood at the pool side, staring at the water absentmindedly as his mind roam through memories lane,
he wipe the forming tears in his eyes.
"Why do you hate me?" a voice asked behind Smile, he quickly made a U-turn.

Smile sighed tiredly, "where were you all these while that am searching for you, you forgot about me and all that will shared, did I really mean anything to you, Eva" he yelled out her angrily, with tears rolling down his cheeks.

Hadija raised her eyebrows in confusion, "excuse me, I barely know you. Am not Eva, my name is Hadija, stop calling me Eva" she replied him and sighed.

Smile mouth open in ajar, "I don't even know you, I was only told about you today" Hadija said,
Smile walked close to her and stood before her, Hadija step backward in her red gown and red heel.
She was looking beautiful like the blue moon in the night, "Eva, I thought you are dead. Thank God, you are alive" Smile said.

"Were you listening to me? I said I don't kno.." Hadija was saying when Smile crushed his lips on her lips, Eva tried to push him away.
But his hands hold tightly around her waist,
she gave in to the kiss and curled his hands around his neck,
Hadija moaned into his mouth as memory flash through her mind.

"Aaaahh!" she screamed and held her head,
Smile disengaged from her and stared at her with concern. "Are you okay?" he asked Hadija.
"Get your hands of me" she yelled at him, and stood at him.
"Stay away from me, am engaged" Hadija told him and walked away from the swimming pool side.

Smile looked at her in confusion.

Hadija walked inside the hall, she sighted her father.
and walked towards him, his fiance appeared from the crowd and hugged her from behind.
"You look worried my love, is sth bothering you?" Edmond asked Hadija,
"Am fine Edmond, just want to talk to my dad" Hadija replied,
she turned and kissed him.

Then winked at him, and walked away to see her father.
"My baby Hadija" the president said and opened his arms,
he hugged her.
"Dad, do I know Smile, I mean the governor's son?" Hadija asked her father,
he looked at her in concern.

"I don't think so, I have never seen him with you before" he replied her,
"How come I remember kiss..." Hadija was saying but she stopped talking when her father looked at her suspiciously,
"Kiss what?" Hadija father asked.

"It is fine, dad" she kissed his cheek and walked away,
wondering who Smile is to her.

Later that night, Smile walked into the sittingroom looking sad and grumpy.
His parents were sitting in the parlour when he entered,
"Smile, what is wrong with you?" her mother asked him.
"Did you know all these while?" he asked his parents,
His parents nodded slowly.

He couldn't help it, tears rolled down his eyes.
"Why mom, you know I love her?" He asked with loud voice, almost yelling at his parents.
"She can't remember anything, she doesn't remember you, we want you to forget about her. Because she is about getting marry to a powerful man's son" his mother replied.

Smile scoffed "forget about her?" he asked in disbelief, and walked upstairs.
he got to his room and brought out Eva's picture, he stared at the picture with so much attention.
He grabbed his phone and dialed a phone number,
the phone rang.

"Hello, Jenny" he said into the receiver.

"Hello Jenny? No sweet names, I hope all is well?" the voice replied from the other end.
"Nothing, I just want us to discuss something serious" Smile replied.

"Smile? If it is about cancellation of the marriage or stuffs like that, isn't going to work. You have to be a man, and am not going to let you break my heart again" the voice from the other end said and ended the call.

Smile stared at the screen in confusion, he flogged his phone away and laid on his bed looking upward.
