Minemrys: Off the top of my head, Robbo caused our goal vs Madrid, Robbo has slept for more goals compared to Arnold, but I doubt you knew that.. Would you mind posting the defensive stats of both Walker and Trent...I want to see how far above Trent Walker is defensively.. |

PrinceofAgoAre:One Na see finish cause am! When you don play tire for a particular league ur opponents go dey study u like lecture book! Secondly, age too nah factor though I will prefer he comes from d bench because he has recently been more effective from d bench! Its the first game so let's just cut them some slack! After 5 games,we go analyse how far! |

Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by openmine(m): 8:18pm On Aug 09, 2022 |
mikuz:Thats not the issue...U were insistent on the pre season as a litmus test for any team that wants to win a trophy next season! We warned you to pay less attention to our heavy loss to manutd but you kept insisting on it! On sunday,Ten haag was served a hot and spicy breakfast by Brighton to enjoy! He will now discover that its not by winning in the pre season that will determine manutd's performance at a major competition! |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by mikuz(m): 1:13am On Aug 10, 2022 |
openmine: Please kindly revisit that argument. I said it's unacceptable to be losing against our biggest rivals in that manner. In pre season we lost against Salzburg and Strasbourg, why didn't I complain about those losses and chose to tackle Man Utd defeat? |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by openmine(m): 1:52am On Aug 10, 2022 |
mikuz:You were hellbent on making an issue out of it despite superior arguments from others that it was only a friendly/preseason! U said nothing about those two friendlies because we had already made it known to you that the friendlies were insignificant and only an avenue to build on the fitness of the players! I only wanted to point out to you that no matter how many preseason friendlies won,the major competitions will be a litmus test! Know this and know peace! |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by mikuz(m): 8:26am On Aug 10, 2022 |
openmine: You dey hype yourself too much That's also how you made it known to me that Mane was very much appreciated at Liverpool and he was paid well above 100k with no concrete evidence. You are trying. I don't take pre season matches serious, that's why I was apathetic when everyone in this thread was celebrating after we beat Liepzig 5 - 0. Even after the 2-2 draw against Fulham no one heard my voice because it's still too early to judge the performance of the team. So you are yet to make anything known to me. |

Klopp is too stubborn Almost all of senior midfielder don get injury's Sign midfielder Like Nunes or Bellingham |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by Minemrys: 2:52pm On Aug 10, 2022 |
KnackAmPlank:Do you read the news at all? Dortmund aren't ready to lose Bellingham and Haaland in the same window. Nunes may not fit Klopp's pattern or perhaps the fee is too high for now. Or maybe our target is for when Milner, Thiago, Keita Chamberlain are gone before we go all out. What happens if you buy and miraculously all those injured guys never got injured, would you then bench the new guys? I don't think it's all Klopp's fault. They didn't want a short term fix that's why. 1 Like |

mikuz: No sir...nah U no wan accept wetin you yarn with your full chest! Please forget this mane talk abeg...we have trashed this previously...its getting stale! mikuz: Its still a preseason game nonetheless whether we choose to celebrate it or not! I was quite particular about the manutd game because you made it sound as if it was a major competition that LFC had to win....the only reason why you went silent was when it was obvious that you were just the only one here getting agitated over the loss...even a gunner fan here was shocked that you could make such a fuss about a preseason friendly...much ado about nothing! mikuz:I have...its up there thats if you choose to see it! Bottom-line is that you should never use a preseason friendly(no matter the club involved) to access the progress or success of a team! |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by mikuz(m): 4:27pm On Aug 11, 2022 |
openmine: My concern was that we took the match unserious and allowed them to beat us. If we had taken the match serious they for no see draw. My ANGER is that we approached the match with unseriousness and got walloped which should not be. I expected some seriousness from us that day. So they didn't beat us because they were magnificent or better than us. Spot the difference. If you don't point a gun to me at close range I won't accept that you have made anything known to me. |

See how happy Mane is ATM. |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by openmine(m): 7:49pm On Aug 11, 2022 |
mikuz:But that is the very essence of a preseason friendly! There is a sort of sluggishness during friendlies because no one wants to get any needless injury like Jota! No sensible player would want to make a 100% commitment in an insignificant game that is only meant to build their fitness level! mikuz:I have answered this! You dont need anger in a preseason friendly...Infact expect upcoming preseason friendly heavy losses in the future! Much ado about nothing! mikuz:Never forced you! Just trying to point out your obvious prevarications! |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by mikuz(m): 11:22am On Aug 12, 2022 |
openmine: Saying that we didn't take the match serious because of fear injuries is laughable. You dey surprise me. Injuries in football is an inherent risk that can not be avoided. Whether you like it or not, you cannot put a safeguard against getting injured because it's a contact sport and you cannot control your opponent's approach to the game. If you are going to play pre season in order to boost your fitness level then you should be ready to face the risk involved. You do that at the expense of getting injured. The only best bet against getting injured is not playing at all, even at that you can still get injured by sitting on the bench. Plus you are even more likely to get injured while playing unseriously than taking the match serious. If not getting injured is that important, let's scrap pre season matches bros |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by openmine(m): 4:08pm On Aug 12, 2022 |
mikuz: The purpose of a preseason friendly is to build fitness of players and create rhythm...hence, there isn't much commitment ab initio in order not to risk a possibility of an unnecessary injury! You can make your findings! This is common knowledge in sports and just because you do not comprehend such or find it laughable doesn't mean its not possible! Secondly,a friendly is no big deal...thats why no player or manager puts much emphasis on the performance and result per se as that is a platform to test various positions or strategy with different players either fringe or main! If you ask a sports person they will tell you the likely time to get an injury is when they return to training after they have had a vacation! I get the fact that you are trying as much as possible though fruitlessly to evade the main purpose of this argument which is placing too much emphasis on preseason friendly as a litmus test to predict the progress of a team! You are obviously trying to use the injury part to prolong or extend this argument! Lets stay true to the bone of contention which is you trying to make so much fuss about the manutd preseason friendly...Simple! |
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by mikuz(m): 6:24pm On Aug 12, 2022 |
openmine: We lose in pre season, every one will distance himself and say we lost because we took the match unserious. But we win against Liepzig in pre season we celebrate it, nobody talks about unseriousness and pre season . If scorelines in pre season don't matter why were you celebrating Nunez's hatrick? I'm not digressing but I'm starting to doubt the integrity of your grasp on football matters because it's laughable to blame a pre season loss to unseriousness caused by preventing injury. I have said this before, there is no safeguard against injury in football. It is an unavoidable risk because you cannot control it. For instance, let me make it clearer, can you avoid the risk of getting sick? No! Even doctors fall sick! It is an unavoidable risk in life! So is injury an unavoidable risk in football. The only way you can avoid it is to retire from football. because even if you are a bench warmer you can still cop injury in training. Soon you will tell us that we didn't train for the match because we were avoiding injury in training. Diaz will just be running goalwards with the ball, Maguire will hit him with a flying tackle from nowhere! Gbam! Too weeks injury How do you avoid that? I'm not using preseason as a litmus test, until you understand why we lost against Man Utd, you won't understand the angle I'm coming from. |

mikuz:I have answered this regurgitated lines from you previously...however,in case it wasn't quite comprehensible for you..... Its still a preseason game nonetheless whether we choose to celebrate it or not! mikuz: The purpose of a preseason friendly is to build fitness of players and create rhythm...hence, there isn't much commitment ab initio in order not to risk a possibility of an unnecessary injury!
