Hello people, I recently had this experience with ma bro. He's meant to get married next month and I made the mistake of announcing it to friends. It caused some serious family trouble because according to him, it was too early to do that. He said I should not have announced it yet. So I wondered thereafter, Is one month to the time too early to announce a wedding? what should it be? I'd like to hear your opinions. Thanks |

Its either your bro isn't really sure if he'll go through with the wedding(i.e if he stil wants 2 marry her by then) or he doesn't want too much crowd so the food will be enough(u re supposed to laugh at this its a joke)or he's not sure if he must have gotten everything ready by then.i think 3 or 2 months ahead is ok and then throwing a small party 2 weeks to the day is an ideal reminder. |

For me, a month is okay but you must have done about 90% of the things by then. I would say if you are a Christian, your wedding preparation should start the day the church announces your marriage bane. |

At least 3 months. People need to look for money to buy group clothes (aso ebi), for transportation from one city to another and money to buy gift for the couple. |

Ranoscky:I think so too. Announcing your wedding date late boils down to the issue of uncertainty as to whether the wedding will take place or not. A friend of mine will be getting married in February and she told me as far back as September. |

one month may be way too early. I know myself and my wife decided to distribute the cards about 2 weeks to the date. Depending on where u come from 1 month is enough time for so called enemies to plan 'evil' on the d day. Anyay sha we been married 2 mnths |
