It is an urban myth and pseudo science. Wall geckos are neither venomous nor toxic.A putrefying one could pose an health risk but then any putrefying organic matter would pose an health risk be it cow or dog. Most of the needless debate about them was caused by one prophet who declared them extremely dangerous to human life without any scientific backup

The day I saw them picking Bottle waters and used bottles from my trash bins, I decided never to take all these Zobo and Kunu again unless it's from a NAFDAC licensed company !!
