A petroleum tanker loaded with 33,000 litres Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, is currently burning at the entrance of Gowon Estate, Ipaja Road, Alimosho, Lagos.

Motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes as traffic gridlock is building up.

Igbere TV gathers that Men of the Lagos State Fire Service and the State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA who raced to scene are battling to put out the fire.

At press time, there was no casualty recorded.

They will be driving without break from Kano down to Lagos and law enforcement agencies won't arrest them just bcus the drivers are ready to part away 1000 naira to them.

I think a transportation university should be established and only certified graduates from the school should be allowed to drive these trucks and tankers.

All these illiterates especially from the north shouldn't be allow to drive. They have no value for lives

I got information that they were stealing fuel from the pipes.

Two of the tankers escaped. This one got burnt while trying to raise the electricity cable and there was a spark that ignited the fire.
