IgbereTV reports that the convener of concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju claimed that the group was offered N1m by government sympathizers not to hold today’s sit out against the continued detention of Omoyele Sowore.

Deji said this at the ongoing protest metres away from the DSS Headquarters at Aso Drive.

Adeyanju said, “We were offered one million Naira at gunpoint with a promise for more for us not to hold this rally. Those who gave us this money know themselves, we also know those who gave us the money.

“We will not compromise, if those who gave us the money don’t come and collect it back today, we will give it to Femi Falana SAN to defray Sowore’s legal costs.”

According to our reporter, the protesters were seen currently conducting their protest peacefully under the watchful eyes of DSS operatives and soldiers from the nearby Guards Brigade.

Also, a civil rights group known as Enough-Is-Enough posted the news on Twitter. The post reads:

When Mazi Nnamdi Kalu recounted that he was offered huge amount of money in prison to drop agitation for Biafra, some ignoramuses thought it was a lie.

Arewa eats and lives on one Nigeria, and is ready to pay off anyone trying to cause anything that can cause break up of Nigeria.

This is the reward of karma. When you catch a Bee thinking it is a Fly. Jonathan was a harmless Fly while Buhari is a serious Bee. Sowore enjoy your hospitality with the government. Is it that they are not feeding you well or what is your problem there. You are not paying house rent where you are staying or are there mosquitos biting you there. Let them provide you with mosquito net. For your information rice is #30k a bag as against #7k when your madness started some years ago. My advise is that you remain there until the farmers begin to harvest the local rice before you can be released. There is hunger as a free citizen but as a guest of the government your meal is sure. Fifty million just to release you. Better stop hunger strike who care whether you eat or you no eat. Thank God you are still alive.

The fastest-growing business in Nigeria today is activism, you just have to call yourself an activist and sit on twitter, hustle for drama and stage protests.

Just a few months ago, the same Adeyanju was fighting Charly Boy over their activist hustle money...

Why is it so hard for these lazy clowns to get a job like regular people? grin grin

Nope, he'll keep N900K for himself and N100K to distribute to the hired protesters. Looks like a payday of about N10k each when the media ppl are removed from the pic or video. A nice day's work for those jobless in attendance. grin
