Homosexuality, is a sexual orientation that our society generally doesnt favour. From mob actions, to being lynched publicly, to the implementation of laws serving an individual convicted of homosexuality, 14years imprisonment.
What i have come to notice however, is that the males who engage in the practice feel the sharper edge of the axe than the females.
Taking nairaland as an example,
A thread is created by a female who believes she is a lesbian (cause of a certain experience or two), the comments that follow would be rather subtle criticisms and a good amount of well meant advice. If the table were turned though, assuming the op were a male, the thread would be filled with insults and such.

You do not blame man to man sex. Good for you, you are okay with it, it is their lives so as it is your life.
You do not also blame woman to woman sex, good for you too. You are okay with it, it is your life.

Come out plainly and say "I have a dislike for gays but am indifferent /like lesbians" instead of claiming that the being gay is abnormal but lesbianism is not! People have the choices to like/dislike but no one has the right to bully,lynch or torment others for their sexual orientation.

I dislike anything gay, and it is my choice which is allowed, however, this is Nigeria, homosexuality is illegal and has a jail sentence attached to it, so it is not allowed here, those people lynching gays or whoever are wrong yes, they are suppose to take them to the police which is the law, if you do not want them to be lynched anymore, go to the street and educate the touts or whoever there that they should be taken to the station not social media cos some of them are not internet savvy, if you want homosexuality to be accepted in this country, take it up with the lawmakers at the helm of affairs to amend the law on it, but for now, it is illegal, they can do their whatever in secret, they are not allowed to rub their act in our faces because once they do, they will be sent to jail, QED.
