Although is worth comparing because Dubai itself was built on borrowing while Nigeria wasn't. Secondly, I will support Nigeria on this because our population is becoming uncontrollably. Imagine Dubai having population of just 3.4million with Lagos with the estimated population of roughly about 10million. So how can that be controlled? It can but the repressive government policies and autocratic leadership of Nigeria which has created forum of unemployment and homelessness is what has exacerbated to what we see today in Eko Lagos and other North and eastern part of Nigeria.

Why are Nigerians so childish? Must we complain about everything? Gosh !! This is beyond stupid. What next? Photograph street headlamp just so you can trash talk Nigeria. Dobt you see how stupid and childish thjs post is? What a more troubling is it makes FrontPage.

That fucking bridge was built 6 years ago. ITS NEW. The Lagos bridge was built in theatre 70s you dimwit. Common sense should make you see why the comparison makes no sense. Anything new will surely be a much better improvement. Case in point the Ikoyi suspension bridge. It looks a generation better than 3rd Mainland bridge because the latter was built in the 70s and the former barely 7 years ago. Use your head nigger and stop this stupid topics designed to being ridicule on Nigeria. It's stupid and infantile.

some people will come for your head saying you are like the proverbial ostrich; that you are self-deluded and hidding the 'truth'

Lagos alone may not represent the true picture of Nigeria in all sides. I challenge you guys to check the flyover bridges in Abakaliki Ebonyi State and judge yourself.

In Nigeria, anywhere called under bridge is a nightmare. It is either a shelter for mad people, thieves, rogues, illegal contrabands, phone grabbers, pickpockets, weed smokers, or even low key prostitution!

The day you find yourself hanging out under the bridge, only God can restore your destiny.

Meanwhile, this is Jos Federal Secretariat Bridge, sometimes eh, Lagos State alone can disgrace the whole of Nigeria.
I might be wrong oo
But why is sth telling me the day those pics was taken was Sunday.
Hence biz activities is usually stall

CAPSLOCKED:

NO.
BUT THE FEW ONES THAT WERE PROVIDED, YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS HAVE PERSONALIZED THEM. THE REST HAVE BEEN DAMAGED OR KICKED ASIDE, OR BROKEN AND USED TO MAKE FIRE FOR COOKING.
THEN THEY TURN AROUND TO BLAME THE GOVERNMENT.

THE OTHER DAY A VIDEO WAS IN CIRCULATION ABOUT A LADY THAT DUMPED HER TRASH JUST AT THE FOOT OF A TRASH COLLECTION BUCKET. SOME MEN HAD TO THREATEN TO BEAT HER BEFORE SHE AGREED TO PACK AND DISPOSE HER RUBBISH PROPERLY. WHY?

THERE ARE BINS IN BANKS, BUSES, AND AROUND MANY PREMISES. A NIGERIAN'S CULTURE IS TO THROW HIS TRASH JUST A FEW METERS AWAY FROM HE'S CURRENT POSITION EVEN IF THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF DUMPSTERS IN FRONT OF HIM.

THEN WE BLAME THE GOVERNMENT.
no no no the litter can is just too beautiful for dumping waste grin grin grin grin

The biggest bane of Niggerians is they dont understand how a society works. Who is a politician? Is e not a himan being, a citizen? So a man whom the society taught to litter the streets and behave like a thug wont suddnely change because he is now a politician. If you vote a thief or a gangster into power he will jist keep doing criminal shít. They dont know
on environmental day u will hardly see a nigerian cleaning his own frontyard.some ppl houses u will see heaps of decomposing heaps of rubbish cheesy and yet ppl dont know this is one of the reasons we fall ill often cheesy.abeg the average nigerian is just dirty.here in dominica u will wake up in the morning and seeing them using hoses with water to wash their frontyard and the little bin well covered.i dont know why many of us nigerians too like to dey romance with dirty cheesy.

Several months ago, the Lagos state government gave the approval for a project aimed at beautifying under major flyovers in Lagos.

Some of the major flyovers considered for this exercise includes the Ikeja flyover – the one at the Awolowo way/Kodesoh road interception- , Ojuelegba flyover, Obalende flyover.

Principally, the beautification project involves the clearing of under the flyovers of dirt, laying interlocking tiles, wall arts, painting and placing of barricades around the location, etc.

For some curious reasons, the projects have dragged on. For instance, works at the Ojuelegba under bridge appears to have been abandoned.

Instead, the construction work there has made under the flyover become such an eyesore – a place of filth.

What possibly could be the reason for the rather slow pace of work there?

Or have the project, indeed, been abandoned?

Or are the politicians waiting to pick up the pace of work when the elections are close in order to commission them as a campaign strategy?
