ARE THEY REALLY FOOLS OR ARE BEING FOOLED?
The white wig the judges wear symbolizes WISDOM we were told. But what is happening within the judicial palace nowadays leaves me with serious doubts if wisdom is anything close. On many occasions, our political leaders will be very healthy and kicking as they steal and squander our wealth, but immediately any of them is charged to court, he falls ill that it will be difficult for him to move unaided. This trend have continued and yet, our judges do not appear to see how these political hooligans make fools out of them.
The judiciary is gradually losing its prestige as anybody can flaunt their orders with so much impunity, yet nothing happens to such a person at the end. They are not doing anything visible to give themselves some levels of dignity. They are losing their potency as an arm of the government.
APC government led by Major Gen. Mohammed Buhari rtd appears to be in the lead as virtually every orders and judgements of the courts are treated with levity. What stops the judiciary from boycotting any cases brought to it by the federal government or her agencies? Why continue to churn out judgements and orders that will never be obeyed? I feel for these highly respected jurists as government appears to be all out to reduce them to mere rags. What happened in the court today between the DSS and Sowore is an affront and insult taken too far.
The wise legal pundits should act now or be ready to lose everything that makes them worthwhile.

The Judiciary is so deep into corruption and that is exactly what the executive blackmails them with. They have lost their voice, independence, integrity and everything the judiciary stands for. Funny enough, it didn't start now, it is only getting worse. At least 95% of the members of the judiciary must be done away with and replaced with people of integrity before we can have a similitude of what a judiciary should be.

In a sane country with sane judiciary members, lawyers will go on strike for human rights abuse.
