which same team, i never wanted to reply you but it's just seem obvious i did, which same team, Mattia De Sciglio hasn't played this season so cuadrado is playing, Lichtsteiner left nd was not properly replaced, C. Marchisio left nd was not properly replaced, K. Asamoah left nd was not replaced, what are you guys saying why was higuain loaned out to Milan if he was good, why was Costa benching dybala through out that season. What is wrong with some of you guys self. Hatred is eating you all up, hatred.

With Higuain, they were playing at CL final and they take Serial A cup. What difference has Tonaldo made than taking all penalties and scoring tap-ins?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus should have been a better combination - at least most thought so.

Juventus suffered their first Serie A defeat this season after losing 3-1 to Lazio last night, which left them two points behind rivals Inter.

Ronaldo scored the opener but the goal was not enough to secure the victory.
And in the game before, when Juventus only got a 2-2 draw with Sassuolo, Ronaldo merely had any contribution aside from a penalty goal, as well as blocked an effort from Paulo Dybala.

The old Lady signed him in order to clinch the Champions League trophy but now they seemingly couldn't defend the Scudetto ... so what's wrong?

One week before, Ronaldo picked up his MVP trophy at the Serie A awards.

Meanwhile, his old rival Lionel Messi was at the Ballon d'Or ceremony, which Ronaldo had chosen not to attend, claiming his record sixth award.

"The competition between me and Messi is over? No, it is just starting," said Ronaldo in a post-award interview.

However, the chances of the 34-year-old leveling Messi next year look slim, unless he can redress what has been an underwhelming start to the season by his own other-worldly standards.

Ronaldo has managed eight goals in 17 appearances for Juventus this campaign while registering just one assist.

For any normal footballer this sort of output would be cause for celebration, however for the Portuguese international it represents one of his worst starts to a season in a decade.

In hindsight, there were perhaps some warning signs last that foreshadowed this downturn in form.

He managed just two goal contributions in his final eight Serie A games last campaign, while a tired-looking Ronaldo could not prevent his side from Champions League elimination by Ajax in the quarter-finals.

He still popped up with some moments of brilliance of course.

A hat trick against Atletico Madrid to overturn a first-leg deficit of two goals was particularly outrageous, but in general Ronaldo's performances in the second half of the season were far removed from the dizzying 450 goals in 438 games that he registered at Real Madrid.

It was this eight years of dominance at Santiago Bernabeu that convinced Juventus to splash around €100m on the then 33-year-old. The Old Lady even gave him a four-year-deal, and why wouldn't they?

Despite his advancing years, Ronaldo had shown no signs of slowing down. He looked fitter and faster than most players in the world and scored 44 goals in as many games during his final season with Los Blancos.

Flash forward a year-and-a-half and the Serie A questions must surely be questioning their decision - even if it is only slightly.

The €31m-a-year salary that Ronaldo allegedly receives is a staggering three times more than any other player in the league and simply put, CR7 is not currently justifying his astronomical wage.

The forward has managed 10 fewer goals than top scorer Ciro Immobile this season, while four others scored more including Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

Ronaldo is similarly lacking in assists, sitting well outside the top ten, which begs the question: what is he offering to the Old Lady this campaign?

One thing that he has and always will offer is commercial value.

A Financial Times report recently revealed the full extent of Ronaldo's financial power by finding that the club's product and licensing revenue increased by €16m after he joined.

Juventus signed 520,000 shirts in the 24 hours that followed the announcement of his arrival, while his social media influence has also seen the club's Instagram following skyrocket from 10m to 34.4m.

Ronaldo's signing was always therefore going to be more about just his performances on the field, but taking his footballing displays in isolation this season - something does seem wrong.

Perhaps he does not get on with Maurizio Sarri, who attracted the ire of the forward after having the audacity to substitute him when he wasn't play very well in a series of football matches last month.

Perhaps age is finally catching up with the once untouchable freak of nature.

Or perhaps he just does not fit the system and his side needs to redeploy out-and-out wingers to get the best out of one of the best finishers the world's ever seen.

Whatever is wrong, Juventus will want it sorted out as soon as possible. 34.4m Instagram followers and a bunch of shirt sales will be little consolation if Antonio Conte's Inter can end their stranglehold on the Serie A title this season

Did you watch the match bro? Seriously this team cannot win the UCL , even a scudetto win would be a real surprise!

Dybala had a 2 on 1 inside box 18... Juve were leading 1-0 at the time , square to CR7 let him tap in the fool went for goal and keeper saved .

I just SMH! In Madrid that would never happen! Benz would pass, Rooney would pass.

Truth is this Juve Team isn’t playing with Unity and are not playing for CR7 unlike what Messi enjoys and what CR7 used to enjoy at United and Madrid.

Additionally that league (serie A) is just too tough Abeg ,

Messi cannot shine there ... trust me
Messi cannot shine there indeed...that's y lukaku that was a failure in Manutd is shining there abi? U need deliverance.

Nothing is going on. You cannot win every game. 2 points behind table leaders with less than 20 games played is no biggie.

I'm not a fan of Ronaldo but this is baseless speculation being peddled.

CR7 is bold and strong, he loves challenge and I bet he will bounce back....and will shock juventus with a champion league final...he did alot for R.Madrid even when most of dia players were out of place..his burning fire was conspicuous in the pitch...in some few season at his former club

when you start to watch ball.
The last season before Ronaldo came which players left juve
How can a team replace cancelo with Danilo, carry cuadrado come right back, someone that has no businesses at that position, khedira and matuidi are juve best midfielder, huguain that could not make a good starting eleven at Chelsea, someone that Mario benched all through, what exactly is Juventus playing with aside pjanic, Ronaldo and de light, bonnuci don lose form, dybala that cant make Argentina first eleven and someone who Costa benched well under allegri that juve even wanted to sell at all cost, one should be realistic. See even sarri that Chelsea fans gave testimony as he left them.
Juve problems is not Ronaldo and if you no sabi watch ball then STH UP!
lol....it seems it is you that has no idea about what you are saying.....Bonucci lost form? Higuain and Dybala have done more for Juve this season than Ronaldo.... Try to watch the matches before you come online to spew trash

Just confess that you started watching ball 3 years ago then I'll understand you. grin
playing as a rm/lm will almost never be a playmaker. A playmaker is usually the most calculating, visionary and technically gifted person in a team.....a rm or rw or lm or lw is usually those that are physical in nature....good strength and speed. The playmaker usually sitting in the middle is the brainbox of his/her team.

Cr7 was never that in any of his teams. A winger yes. A playmaker no.

Lol Lukaku standard and Messi standard(s) na the same abi?

Damn? So Lukaku and Messi na same age?

Na wa o? So Lukaku and Messi get same physique?

Now who needs deliverance The last serie A player who used to carry ball 10-15 yards forming dribbler is Kaka and dem destroy him knee and hip before he left for Madrid lol.

I doubt you watch Serie A games sha... but you’re right though if Messi goes to Serie A he’ll start giving us Lukaku numbers.

Juve has Neva struggled to be on top of d standings at dis point of d season before him,,they always sit pretty clear on top..and
D league and cup double assured.

Last season Atlanta chased them away from d cup,,and they were dragging top position with Napoli at this point..This season at this point it's a Four man race now for d scudetto

Ronaldo needs Madrid where modic, isco,Benzema ,And Marcelo are all ready to sacrifice for him, not Juve.

At least Higuain Nwamama is now showing him all he showed Messi in international cup finals in d past
Re: What's Going On With Ronaldo And Juventus? by kevolysis12(m): 7:48am On Dec 09, 2019
Until he leaves barca, he will always remain one sided. Let him join Ronaldo at serie A or even move to premiership and see how far.

quote author=Astark post=84738616] grin what juventus needs now is a playmaker, someone that can supply goals so that ronaldo can take all the glory.

cool that's why messi is the most under rated player ever

He create goals as a playmaker
He score goals as a forward
He dribbles and entertain
He passes and assists

He's everything[/quote]

Juventus is doing well expecially when Cr7 isn't on d pitch..u will see d best of Pjanic and dybala..even Higuain.

Sarri is a coach who doesn't ass-lick anyone,,u make less impact he benches u,just like wat he is doing to Cr7 by substituting him sometimes..
This is d reason he never promoted Cr7 for ballin d'or like zidane,Fergie always do back then.

Cr7 is good but he needs Madrid, who are presently finding rhythm to adapt without him
Re: What's Going On With Ronaldo And Juventus? by Olusola101990: 8:17am On Dec 09, 2019
I don't knw y pple keep calling for sarri"s head....if in this modern day u can't playbin a team that displace possession and attacking football and u wait all the time for one player to give u the final pass then u are still far behind....Ronaldo is wonderful no doubt...but apart from looking for that final pass wat else are u adding to the team...are u pushing the team with ur display?....with all the bad comment about there playing style...dybala is still the best asset they ve got in the team and his flying...y?...(cos his an all round player)... and those are the kind of players that would thrive under a coach who plays possession football....u can ave a bad day in football.... but even at that we should still always see ur quality wen u ave the ball on ur feet...do we see that in Ronaldo this days?...No...

Ronaldo was never going to stay at the top forever na... Neither will Messi.

Y'all should bring these people down from that unholy pedestal... They are not the future. They are a passing and dying phase of football...

We should be looking at the future now:

2. Harland
3. Rashford
4. Jaoa Felix
5. Tammy Abraham
6. Trent Alexander

Etc..etc...
Abeggiii... The so called future that haven't started competing with your referred "Dying--Phase". If not, we'll continue talking about them till they retire. They are the 'MAJOR BEAUTIES" of football.

Good point sir...

But, I believe in realities... The fact remains, the beauties are dropping at an alarming rate. Age can be hidden but can't be denied.

The age of Messi and Ronaldo will and must go... The Ronaldo we grew up watching will not struggle in an established side like Juventus no matter how inept the coach is....

Haven't you wondered why Messi has been seriously talking up and hinting at retirement??!... Body must tell them...

Under normal circumstances, we shouldn't still be this obsessed with them at this point in their professional lives... The fact that serious contenders and competition is lacking where both players are concerned should not be amusing... It should raise serious concerns about the future of this beautiful game.

The truth is; it's not as if the future or beauty of football is fading, rather it is because Messi and Ronaldo have done much more than any ordinary player would do. They have dominated the football world and made some of the seeming impossibilities very possible and as such, even in their state of decline, no other player comes close. To me, I think the case of natural talent and hard work buildup is what is missing and needs to rejuvenated.

Ronaldo looks tired and confused in this Juvi-Sarri team set up, he haven't scored any Screamer since the beginning of this Season.

Higuan is a Locuratious attacker, he don't pass to Ronaldo, even when Ronaldo is in a better position in the eighteen yard box to score a goal,
