I am not certain if you actually understand the meaning of treason because if you do, then taking up arms to defend yourself or your family from an armed invader is not treason. Treason by dictionary definition is the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government. So from the above definition, I do not see where it states that defending one's self from armed invaders is treason. I know people like to throw words around but I suggest that you should at least understand the true meaning of a word before you start labeling people as being treasonous.
