We know that there is the letter of scripture and there is the power and spirit of it. Any body, even atheists can read it for the sake of literature and that's what they will get out of it. Just literature--historical events, texts, biographies, chronologies etc. But another person can read it and get salvation, which is the spiritual value, out of it.. The bible was written over a period of hundreds of decades by people who didn't t even know one another yet talking about the same person i.e Jesus Christ whether in Prophecy or in events, his kenosis, life on earth death, resurrection and the significance of it. This is the Spirit and power of scripture and there is perfect agreement over this among all the writers of the bible. Every other detail including figures, historical events semantics etc are all subject to human limitations of the writers in terms of personal mastery of language vocabulary, detailing, perspectives etc and it's also subject to such factors as interpretations, tranlations and transliteration of literature, preservation of integrity of text, change in meaning and semantics of certain words in languages over the years etc

If the bible was written in Hebrew or Greek originally and in that hebrew bible, what's there is the number "three". If it's translated to English, should it not then remain number 3? what's so compound about numbers?

If numerals or numbers are translated from one language to another, should they not remain the same?

in the second one I quoted, in one verse it says 3 and in another it says 7... is there not a different between 3 and 7? Is that not how it is in the original bible that was translated? what's so compound about numerical figures that will make them change when translated? 3 is 3... 7 is 7..

The good thing about this concept of figure is really interesting, this is even challenging now than before. making me to believe that the fact that there maybe errors but the copiers refused to alter the figure or change it to rhyme and to avoid ambiguity during vigorous analysis, make it more respectful and untempered book, and it made me to believe that since the bible is a compilation of different authors it would have been easy for them to expunge out the misleading figure when compiling it into one fold but the copiers still go ahead to penned it down the way it was since it wasn't their words. they mighty believed the authors mighy had different perspective on the event regarding the figure. But the joy here is that the first century knew about it and they dealt with it. The second century knew about it and they dealt with it. So it was to the nineteen century. But the 20 and 21 century wanted to take this personal like it is something that happened after they were born not knowing it has been existing even before the coming of Islam and Christ . Even if the bible has such mixed figures it should be noted that people want to know about what happened. people were more concerned about event and victory and not fact and figure but today we are blind, moving blindly. We only believe on fact and figure. Praising science over the hand work of God. I wonder when last anyone here hear the word of God speaking by any prophet or pastor or imam, all we have and hear are the concurrent repetition of scriptures. And yet we criticize books that was written by people who dwell close to people that stayed closer to people that are close to God because of hadred and disunity.

What does compound words have to do with numbers?

If the bible was written in Hebrew or Greek originally and in that hebrew bible, what's there is the number "three". If it's translated to English, should it not then remain number 3? what's so compound about numbers?

If numerals or numbers are translated from one language to another, should they not remain the same?

in the second one I quoted, in one verse it says 3 and in another it says 7... is there not a different between 3 and 7? Is that not how it is in the original bible that was translated? what's so compound about numerical figures that will make them change when translated? 3 is 3... 7 is 7..
