joo2018: The NOC 0124 is it at least 1yr? If not, use the NOC 1123 as your primary NOC. Both NOCs are more than 1 year. I'm glad that I can pick anyone as my Primary NOC. Thanks Joo. |

Hello guys. With your solid advice, I've settled for Noc 0124 and 1123. Is it okay if I make any of these Noc my primary noc?
Noc 0124 was from 2016 - 2017 Noc 1123 was from 2017 - present.
Thank you and congratulations to everyone! |

I'm sorry guys, I'm not one to express what I'm going through, but I just needed to air my frustrations. I've had 6.5 in reading on two occasions. This other modules are fine. Is it safe to say I need help of some sort? Any reading expert willing to help me overcome this enigma? |

ladymarshall: Hmm! Interesting. This is my professional field too, NOC 1123 to be precise.
Since you were not in a managerial position, I think you should stick to NOC 1123 but attach an LOE explaining why this NOC is the best for you, since you were not a manager, despite what the title says. If you want to do "effizzi" and bambooze the VO , provide a breakdown of the career paths in Corp. Comms in Nigerian and explain that it is a common practice to assign "manager" portfolios to non-managerial staff in our industry for whatever reason perhaps to make the title more appealing to potential recruitees, industry policy etc. You are the expert here, so make your case convincingly.
I remembered a lady who had to go to Accra for an interview because her JD was managerial but the title wasn't. She got PPR. Thank you for this. I'd be sure to include a well detailed LOE, and intensify my prayers against the most dreaded, Accra. |

ans123: Your NOC is def 0124.....1123 is for non managers in marketing communications(PR,Advertising,Marketing). If anyone is having issues choosing these two NOCs(0124/1123 ONLY) they may contact me.
[qquote author=55emem55 post=76870693]Please, Second Job title is Social Media Manager, same NOC 1123
Am I on the right path please? @newmum0615 @ifeoma77 @joo2018 Thanks for your response. I'm still a bit unclear I wasn't a manager, It wasn't even a managerial position. I reported directly to the Sales Manager. It's just like someone who is a customer service manager, but reports to the operations manager. My 2nd job title also has a Manager in it. I haven't gotten to any managerial position before. Please you guys should help me analyze this NOC issue |

ladymarshall: No you are not. Your actual NOC is 0124. Your title and JD are managerial positions.
NOC 1123 are for non-managerial positions in Corporate Comms (look below the NOC on the site, managerial positions are clearly excluded from the NOC).
What stage are you in your app? If its AOR, please raise a CSE asap and attach an LOE stating your mistake. If you are post-ITA but not AOR, I think an LOE would suffice. If you are pre-EE profile, perfect, good that you asked.
Read more here https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/entered-different-noc-by-mistake.573020/ Thank you very much. Although I wasnt working as a Manager at the time. I was reporting drirectly to the Sales & Marketing Manager. When I went through the JD for 0124, it stated that only Managers like, Sales Managers, Marketing Managers fit this NOC, that was why I didn't pick it. Please can others shed more light on this? I'm Pre-ITA. |

Topsmamen: How far with your profile? Successfully created it? No oh I wanted to try with 8777, but someone here said he/she successfully created a profile with 7.5 in Listening. So I dont really know. Well, I've decided to chill till when I rewrite IELTS. Modified: I just calculated my eligibility points. It's 64, which is lower than the recommended 67. With a better IELTS score, it would improve. So, I'd be preparing towards that. Many thanks! |

vcole: Congrats @Tojued! In my mind you were already in Canada oh! Congrats @bukzie, what a ride!
@55emem55, check the answers you filled in your questionnaire. Specifically the question “how many years do you have in any of these professions” that comes after they mention and list out the trades occupations. If you filled any answer in that column, the system would assume that you should be in the federal skilled trades category and not FSW, hence rendering your profile ineligible. I filled 'none' in that category. When creating my profile, there's this alphanumeric number at the top right of my eca that Ices asked me to use in my application, that's what I used and not the client number. I hope that's correct |

Ifeoma77: Double-check that the hours is 45/week and not 45/month Yes, its 45/week I just tried to create another profile. Is it normal that before I can create an EE profile on the CIC page, I'm requested to first fill the questionaire to know if I'm eligible? Plus even after filling the questionnaire, I still get the ineligible message. I'm confused. I just want to create a profile to avoid the tie breaking rule. I have my IELTS, ECA and NOC is 1123. |

Princessfad: Good evening everyone, I have a certain concern, I'm seeing on ICES website that we need to submit out secondary school certificate, did this just start? Or I'm not understanding properly? I chose ICES because of this WAEC scratch card issue. Please can anyone help clarify. ICES doesn't require WAEC please. Check the Post-secondary requirements on their website. It's very clear and understandable. |

The fact that its showing complete doesn't mean its been dispatched. If she/he didn't pay the 75CAD for delivery, it won't be sent. @ceyrahtlk kindly send an email to ices and ask them how you can make the payment for courier. DonTee07: if its showing completed, they already dispatched your copies. How did you pay initially? or you want to request additional copies? If you didn't pay for the courier option before or you want more copies, the latter amount you stated is what you will pay.
All the best. |

Nothing difficult. Just ensure your school is proactive in sending the transcript via mail and responding to queries from ICES if it arises. You can learn more from their website and read page 1.
