Israel have fought eight and won all? In 2006, a small militia group in Lebanon defeated the entire Israeli military. They handled them like rabbits and made them to return back to their country with their tails between their legs. This happened during the Lebanese war of 2006. As usual, the Israelis resulted to begging their sugar daddy, the USA to come to their aid.

Hezbollah didnt defeat the IDF. The World chided Israel for using disproportionate force and killing lebanese civilians Hezbollah were using guerrilla tactics and hiding among civilians. The fight ended in a truce. Israel would have destroyed lebanon if the war continued and that would have been a shame as the lebanese government made trememdous effort to dissociate itself from Hezbollah's activities in that war.

The agreement of the truce was for Hezbollah to be disbanded although that wasn't implemented. Today Hezbollah doesnt enjoy the same support it once enjoyed (or at least was tolerated) in the arab world.

In conclusion, Israel didnt lose the war. Lebanon lost a war it wasn't even involved it. It's infrastructure was severely damaged and it suffered lot of casualties.
