First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Ain't we supposed to be practicing a federal system, where state have their laws, and can create a security outfit for the protection of the state and it's people. This is being done in good faith by the state governors, what is the APC led federal government afraid of?

Or is it because the Northern trade union group kicked against it?

Nigerians are watching, and we are wiser now, you people are playing yourselves.
the animals in the zoo aren't any wiser if they are the dullard wouldn't have come anywhere close to the seat of power

This is an overt evidence/ testament of how much the Southwest and other regions have fallen under the might of the Northen region. They are afraid of this development as it is perceived as a threat to their agenda( colonisation and total domination in every sphere of existence in Nigeria).
Have u ever wondered why the commisoners of police in the EAST,WEST and SOUTH wud be hausa/ fulanis while u can almost never see same in the NORTH. We should seen the writing on the wall when they said amotekun won't be armed. However, no 1 ever came out to say any fulani herdman caught with a gun wud be prosecuted.
Lets say a fight broke out between fulani herdmen and farmers in the state ,who wud be called to quench the rift, arrest and prosecute those involved?? Of course the new outfit and the police wud be involved but the later having an upper hand afterwards/ subsequently. The police crime of shoving cases like those under the carpet and quelling heinous crimes won't be as easy as it used to. Its just a northen agenda to continue their subjugation
Let me break it down; if amotekun is successfully armed , they would look like regional police, thereby antagonizing their
Non compliance for a regional police so they can continue domination and untamed destruction and desolation by their nomadic brothers.
If amotekun is successfull, other regions would do likewise. Now they don't want that espply in the east.
Theses are the reasons they don't want it to fly by declaring it ILLEGAL.

Well I saw this coming. I'm surprised you guys are surprised. I told Kapeter this was going to happen few days ago with my other moniker.

I knew they would panic that's one. Secondly, every other region would want theirs. Thirdly, Amotoekun was a necessity borne out of the activities of killer herdsmen.

I was expecting this but I thought they would allow it kick off first and monitor their operations before deciding.

In a few days or as we speak, they are already using a southerner to challenge Amotoekun in court.

For a different reason from yours I knew the oligarchy won't let it take root.

Amotekun would have been the seed needed to grow the structure needed to restructure or divide Nigeria through violent means. They saw through this and quickly crush it.

ANC in South Africa, SS of Adolf Hitler, Fidel Castro Movement in cuba etc. started small and harmless until they used violence to grab power or negotiate a better structure.

Chief Falae confirmed my fears days ago, when he said, they should have used the law establishing the forest guards to establish Amotekun. To hear this from someone who has interacted with them at the highest level, I suspected he share my fears too that all means will used to truncate it.

Amotekun has proven to me our leaders are not comfortable with this forced union.Fayemi and other architects of Amotekun don't be discouraged, you did not fail.

I want to commend all of you for coming up with an innocent looking idea to end internal colonisation.

Jonathan came ahead of his time. Nigeria is a big conspiracy. He believed in rule of law and all democratic tenets, yet that singular characteristics made him appear weak before many Nigerians, they wanted a strong man like Buhari and they have one now. He believed in election where votes will count and not where rigging is a means of attaining political power, South West conspired with the North to make sure he was rigged out. He did away with Godfathers like Obasanjo, South West listened to Bourdillion and the rest is history. What has Bourdillion secured for the West since Buhari came onboar to show for their support for the caliphate? Nothing. He didn't know how to rig because in Jonathan's dream of Nigeria, election should not be about rigging, it should be about who the masses wanted. He trusted the North because he was an ideal President that embraced everyone fellow countrymen. Today you have the President you wanted. A man that sees Nigeria from the prism North and nothing else. Conclusion: Enjoy Buhari. 2023 is 3 years away.

You're right on all counts.

But Jonathan took his eye off the cash register though. And he mixed business with pleasure, which is why an ambitious skank like Diezani was able to break down all his defences and loot the treasury...let's not even talk about the exploits of Patience, his own wife.

Economic prosperity indeed. This clown still thinks Lagos would be the same in a true autonomic system where states would be particular about their natural resources and the companies that exploits them.

Abi no be Lagos be your all in all. ? E pass Lagos?

Lagos will be better in a restructured Nigeria Nigeria. The economic immigrant that comes to Lagos to constitute a nuisance will be forced back to their states of origin. Each state will have the power to target what time of people they want in their domain.

Apart from Lagos, there is Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and Kwara state. All the aforementioned states are richer in both human and natural resources than all the erosion ravage state in the east reasons why they all host refugee from the east.

Stop playing this stupid betrayer card. Politics is a game you either play it well and win or play it badly and lose, no one betrayed no one.

It is sickening for southeasterners to call Yoruba betrayer when over and over the east has always been in alliance with the political north to scuttle Yoruba interest at centre despite not having anything in common with the North. The naive easterners were responsible for Jonathan failure at the pole with their antagonizing antics and the name-calling of potential allies in the south and middle belt. Blame yourself and your people for Jonathan failure, not the Yoruba that Igbo help Jonathan government sideline.

Coming back to the issue at hand, the Northerners are only delaying the doomsday, it will surely happened, Nigeria is an experiment that will surely disintegrate soon. I am happy with the current development, it will alone fast tract the actualization of Yoruba homeland.
if you ever criticise NK and IPOB for preaching disintegration of the zoo may you and your household know no peace all your lives

Sighs!

Always predictable. Azikiwe partnered with the Fulani North betraying the South over 1959 elections. He denied himself and the Igbos the topmost position of prime minister offered by Awolowo via a coalition and instead took a subservient / figurehead position of ceremonial president, handing over the position of prime minister to Tafawa Balewa.

Yorubas have never made an issue of this very myopic and far-reaching decision that set Nigeria up for all its future problems.

In a similar fashion, Ekwueme was Vice President to Shagari in 1979 against Awolowo. Again, Yorubas have never begrudged the Igbos for their choice of political partnerships.

But here you are trying to make an issue of the Yorubas teaming up with the North for the first time in the history of Nigerian politics.

Please go and study the history of Nigeria very well to know who did what, and how we even got here in the first place!

Nonsense.
Malami has no such declarative power, he is a lawyer and not a judge.
If vigilantes can operate with AK 47s so can Amotekun.
Let Malami head to court to stop the outfit.

Yes, let him head to court. They can NEVER stop amotekun by force. And while he is in court amotekun must keep operating till the final judgement, even if it takes 100 years. After all, Buhari once said those challenging his education should go to court and remain there. Malami can as well go to court and remain there.

I hope Southerners can for once be objective and see what Buhari is planning.

The interpretation of the law is not a northern matter; you governors did not do their homework, they did not check the constitution and clearly over stepped their executive boundaries; despite the array of lawyers they would have had at their behest - pls do not blame northerners for their blunder.

Do not also confuse Hisbah which is entirely different, set by relevant states to enforce religious and moral codes against Amotekun currently set up by the SW regional states as a defence outfit - which (defence) clearly fall within the exclusive list and therefore outside the jurisdiction of state governments.

It is purely a legal issue and not a regional matter - if in doubt, let your governors challenge it in court.

Amotekun is not a defence issue, it was set up to checkmate activities of criminal within a locality. It is a community policing which is allowed in a federating state.

The political sharia in the North doesn't have the constitutional backing to have a militia group to enforce religious law in a secular country. They don't have the right to destroy alcohol that is allowed by the constitution of the Nigeria state. The southerners decide not to border themselves with what is going on in the North because it is none of their business and the North shouldn't show their hand on southwest affairs because it is none of their business.

The criminal herdsmen will be dealt with and nothing you and your elite can do about it

Dead on arrival. AMOTEKUN is here to stay and other geopolitical zones will form theirs. The matter will go the Courts. The incompetent FGN that failed miserably to protect our women, men and farmers from killer herdsmen and kidnappers cannot stop us from protecting ourselves.
South West will not be turned to the North Central. It is not possible to take SW land by force under the pretense of cattle herding. The Maiyetti Allah was first to cry call for blood and now the AGM of insecurity. We are first Yoruba before being Nigerians.
