The moment another people can deny the others of the right to self defense, is the moment one has become a slave to the other! Don't be naive, we have beasts amongst us parading as humans. People with negative intent....God places it on your shoulder to defend your life however necessary! That my people, is a God given right! Are northers God?

Seriously, I think this Amotekun saga will play out well for the south west region in 2023, considering how agitated the north seems to be about it. It could be Tinubu's trump card to get the ticket from APC.

My opinion though.

Amotekun: South-West govs’ intentions good but unconstitutional, Police affairs minister

The Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, says the intentions of South-West governors for establishing Amotekun are good but the constitution bestowed the responsibility of national security on the Federal Government.

NAN quoted Dingyadi as speaking during an interview with newsmen in Sokoto.

The minister, who said the police were doing well in tackling the menace of kidnapping in all forms, enjoined Nigerians to support them in order to ensure maximum success in that regard.

Commenting on the South-West security outfit codenamed "Operation Amotekun”, Dingyadi said, "The intentions of the Southwest governors are good. However, some people have expressed fears about the regional security force.

”Security is an exclusive responsibility of the Federal Government being supported at times by state governments and other organisations.

”If Operation Amotekun differs from the support being rendered by state governments to the Federal Government on security matters, then it is unconstitutional,” Dingyadi stated.

He said that the border closure by the Federal Government had yielded results.

Dingyadi further stated that the police would perform efficiently if the military personnel were withdrawn from areas affected by insurgency, saying that managing internal security was their primary responsibility.

Northerners and their political leaders are afraid of the future.

But they can take it boldly by adjusting to the reality on ground.

They always want to seek protection under a fraudulent unity and a constitution that they have built to protect their selfish and self centered northern interest.

Every day for the thief One day for the owner.

The north must accept the reality that they can not continue to cheat the south for too long.

If they want to enjoy peace they should bring the 2014 national conference report and get it pass into law by the national assembly for implementation of the contents or provisions.
in the report.

I commend the bold initiative of the Yoruba leaders in the south west region in setting up Amotekun.

It will add value to community policing.

Many innocent lives have been lost due to the activities of kidnapper and marauding Fulani herdsmen.

Farmers have lost their lives due to insecurity in most parts of Nigeria with the federal government incapacitated to manage the threats coming from kidnappers and herdsmen.

If they need any regional security, they should first of all push for constitutional amendment where security will be shifted to regions infact full restructuring.

So let them follow the right step and push for restructuring through constitutional amendment and insertion of referendum in the constitution.

If not so, then Amotekun is a nuisance and must be treated as such.

So my dear brother, what's your take on Hisbah Islamic police...??

Hisbah is a state legislated affair , so Amotekun can also be a state legislated affair.

But for regional it is purely Illegal.

Stop deflecting and evading the question.

Just answer the harmless question.

What was the constitutional amendment that brought about the establishment of the Hisbah police in the north?
