There was this period were everyone was pretending to be filled with the holy spirit. I was still very religious and believed in all that nonsense. That night more that half the girls in my dorm were rolling on the floor, the good girl, the bad girls and all. The Christian girls were busy praying and casting out demons. Then in the general hall, the Pentecostal choir students were having their usual choir practice, one suddenly stopped and said she was seeing something. I dont think I've ever repented like I did that day. I was running around with a bunch of girls. We'd go from the hall to the dormitory. The funniest part is that, we always complained to our teachers about out experiences, they always just laughed and we felt they were ignorant or didn't care because we were not their kids. Back then I was the MVP of my school a private school, let's say I was favored; I was one of the coolest guy so it happened in our ss3 few weeks to writing our exams all the guys decided to go play a friendly match with a neighbor school, we asked the games master and principal permission it was denied, well we know we ve paid for wassce and there is no way they will expel all of us we went on our way during the course of the match the principal learnt of our disobedience and sent a teacher to come call us, he came and said ''he gives us 20mins to be in the school compound else we will regret it'' well we ignored him and his words and continued on our game. After the match we could have gone our way but one guy suggested we take the school route to show them we ve come of age and won't be controlled anymore. Mehn we unanimously agreed we passed the school premises and didn't even bother to go into the school, we made sure the principal saw us, he sent another teacher to call us back we did likewise before. Next day we all were suspended for 1wk, we cared less. On the day we resumed I was called into the principal office. See preaching and anger he said even you my precious and beloved son. I felt guilty.

Another one, I was friends with the most beautiful girl in school, rumours have it some of the teachers were asking her out. One period I was sick and missed school for 1wk on my resumption as I entered the school gate she saw me and hugged me so passionately well I hold her tight we were entangled in each other arm. There was one classmate of mine called Henry Ogige who lived in Ojuelegba. He used to always talk about porn and fucking prostitutes. One big heavy dude in my class used to make my life a living hell. His name was Charles and he weighed almost twice my weight. That how one day I got fed up of his shiit and told him, "Just wait for me after school today. I will fvck you up". That was a challenge and people were happy that they were going to see fight after school. Before I know it, other classes had heard that I was going to fight Charles and there was no backing down from it.
Now in those days, if you challenge someone to a fight, it is your obligation to carry out that challenge. If you don't carry it out, everybody will give you rushing (everyone will gather and beat the living shyt out of you) for backing out after issuing a challenge to fight. Now as school hours started drawing to a close, I started remembering all the past fights Charles had been in and how he massacred his victims, I began to picture myself being massacred. Na so fear begin grip me. And I couldn't back down at this point or else na community rushing I go receive. After school, everyone gathered in my class and started saying, "oya come and fight". They cleared all the lockers and desks for us and created a space in the middle. I was like, " Hold on let me finish copying my note". After like 10 mins people were tired of waiting and took my note from me and pulled me up to fight. I started to shake like a leaf. Then one classmate of mine called Akinwale saw my fear and said, "No, he is a Christian and Christians don't fight. Akinwale was like the class pastor and everyone respected him. Na so Akinwale grabbed my bag and grabbed me and left the class. Chai, because of Akinwale, I was saved from a severe beating that day. Akinwale na God go bless you forever

Aboy(my best friend) and i were always selling fruits in our row and as back benchers the teachers never saw us. Our school had varieties of fruits and Aboy's family lived inside the school so he always got; mangoes, oranges, almond fruit, cashew, large kerosene mango etc...

Just like it's done in the market we assembled different fruits on our desk (4 fruits go for 5naira) during classes and our fellow pupils would pass a 5naira note from one person to another until it gets to us and the desired fruits would be passed to them as well without the teacher's consent

We did this since primary 2 to primary 4 that we became so popular in school that people from other classes come to buy from our back bench desk often, we didn't listen to teachings and at the end of the term my result was always 24/24 or 23/24 meaning aboy my friend had taken the 24th position

We were later caught in our primary4 3rd term and our headmaster concluded that cane and punishment couldn't solve my problem so they sent for my mum and after discussion with the teachers and my family, they decided to withdraw me from that school and enrol me to another primary school with higher competition... Within the first and second term, I had learn how to read and write and at the end of the 3rd, I came 8/19. Was so happy and that was how I changed for good. Today i lecture in class (university) when my lecturer isn't around
