Nigeria now ranked as the number one country currently to do business in Africa.

It is ranked above Egypt and South Africa who are 2nd and 3rd respectively while Ghana and Rwanda made it to top 10 at 9th and 10th respectively

Data and ranking was arrived at after considering and comparing economic indices such as;

POPULATION
NOMINAL GDP
FOREIGN RESERVES
GDP GROWTH RATE
TRANSPARENCY INDEX
EASE OF DOING BUSINESS
GDP PERCAPITA
CURRENT ACCOUNT BALANCE

This is like being ranked high in an IQ index: says a lot, but practically means nothing.

Until rice comes down and you can knack Jos girls all day with less than 2k, I'll say the economy is still pretty much shiit.

Alternative lie. Stop fooling yourselves. No serious investors would look beyond World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Index

Stop embarrassing yourself by sponsoring fake reports.

It places your country higher on corruption index instead.

To be honest closing of borders is good for our econonmy. The neighbour's know Nigerian has the market. So they will have to come in here to do the business or set up shops.

Three offices in different continents and that's makes their data analysis correct, what has been their impact cos I don't think economies recognises their research... Neway, anything to make the BMC masturbate. Lemme know when IMF and WEC or World Bank give theirs. I take those ones seriously.

Good news!

But Nigeria lacks supporting infrastructure like electricity, road, etc. Those are the #1 killer of start-ups

Also, a typical Nigerian is a thief until proven innocent. You cannot do business in a country where you cannot trust your staffers with classified information and funds

Then, insecurity

I don't know why they didn't factor those in.

I know sooner or later Nigeria will get her lost track. World super power will never want Nigerian to c anything good about her government because it will affect them from exploiting us. They always want to create unrest and take our sovereignty from us by installing people that they will tell "bark" and he will ask "how many times my master?" God bless one Nigeria, God bless buhari, God bless North, South, East and West, God bless nairaland
