To all those claiming that the Jan. 15 1966 Coup was plotted and led by Nzeogwu, and based on that assumption, raining insults on other monikers who differ; I beg to ask if Ojukwu and many other figures who wrote books on the topic and credited Ifeajuna from Onitsha with the chief architect of the coup were all telling lies.
Nzeogwu, like Adegboyega - the author of "Why We Struck", were only recruited into the plot just three months to the day of execution.
Moreover, how could Nzeogwu, who was far away in Kaduna, have been the architect and leader of a coup plot that was hatched in Lagos?
