voltron14: It's not loans. It's mostly trade deficit. Recently read about it but I've forgotten most of the details. Koko is the trade deficits important for their economy. It's largely INTENTIONAL to devalue the dollar. Law of demand /supply says the more people want, buy, store, hold a commodity, or currency in this case, the higher the price. International trade is done in dollars. Nigeria wants to increase foreign reserve? Dollars. Want to pay expatriates, import this or that dollar. This makes dollar expensive. Expensive dollar makes American goods expensive. So people won't buy American made goods. Because of that American manufacturers started producing elsewhere, Taiwan, japan, Korea, China and recently India. They export these back home and this increases trade deficit. Same shit happened to Japan. China avoids this by intentionally keeping the value of than low to reduce price of their exports. And make their products cheaper oversea. China does this by LITERALLY selling their currency to buy and store trillions of dollars and some euros. |

vezycash: But a curse for the most populous black nation to seek ways to promote infrastructural development due to years of deficit? The average Nigerian is a complainer who cannot devise solutions to his own problems talkless of that of the society. His GDP annually is a mere 2 thousand dollars but he wants to live like Jay-z.
