Yes, it is. But still, while a bank statement is expected to have at least 3 months transaction details by many embassies, the year that the account was opened also matters much, and the the older your account statement is, the better it is valued.

Now, if you're talking about having a sponsor for a tourist visa, i'm afraid you will not be deemed qualified for this category of visa, it is not the same thing as applying for a Student Visa or a Family Visit visa: Applying for a tourist visa is much more difficult, you need to display to the ECO that you are financially worthy with credibility and that you have compelling reasons to return to Nigeria.

Are you asking or making this claim? Have you heard of the term Money Lodgement? That refers to depositing lump some of money into your account, and this is another ground for automatic visa refusal.
Now, let me make it clearer; the kind of bank statement that is acceptable for visa application must have transparent transaction details recording the in-flow and out-flow of money from genuine source
