SAN ($2.61)
Banco Santander SA is a Spanish commercial bank that got beat during this pandemic. It is on the path of recovery with a 23% gain in the last one month.
It has strong fundamentals with a net profit margin of 10.29%. With an EPS of $0.34 and dividend of $0.26, that gives a handsome dividend yield of 9.9% by US standard.

At $2.61, it has a clear possibility of hitting $4 in the short term and most importantly a stable stock despite its low price now because I can confirm it's Beta of 1.13 is on the low side.

Another one you may consider which is not as healthy in terms of performance but holds a good possibility of short term gain is MGI.

MoneyGram (MGI $3.47) has a negative earnings per share and has struggled to a point it sold for about $1.50 early last month.
Why it suddenly rose to $3.47?
Reports have emerged that Western Union is about to acquire them.
Any more gains left in it?
In my opinion, if you can buy at a pull back and wait, you will make money from it when the acquisition deal is announced.

This is getting confusing. Hahahaha, imagine, AAL with one of the worst balance sheets in the industry was the highest gainer for the day. 41.25% in just one trading day!!!. Is the cure for COVID-19 out? Any news about international flights resuming? I took the risk, and it paid off.

I like the fact you are mindful of the financial health of the institutions you invest in.
This was my singular reason for picking DAL from the lot; so that just in case my pick doesn't soar immediately, I can be rest assured in a matter of time I can make do with dividends (ie. worst case scenario without bankruptcy).

On this note, I will advise AAL holders to ride the rise while it lasts, make money, but keep a keen eye on the news with vigilance.

Hahaha, I missed DAL but I dey gidi gba inside AAL and JBLU all from their bottom prices. I will have to exit a certain percentage of my AAL tomorrow. More than 40% in just a day! O'boy. I need to repatriate some of AAL funds straight to NSE grin grin grin

Great advice, as usual, boss! AAL is about 20% up pre-market already shocked shocked shocked
I've placed a sell order for a good percentage of my holdings before Oga Trump go use my money do re-election campaign. grin. I'll, however, continue to monitor the remaining units and exit at the right time.

We are witnessing some serious short squeeze in the airline stock mixed with FOMO. American Airlines (AAL), had 35% of its shares shorted just last month. As the stock price rises, those short sellers have no choice but to buy in to limit their loss. Who can blame them, when Buffet turns bearish the world listens, but a little old rookie like me kept saying buy the airlines, it is literally free money. smiley Seriously, even call options I bought yesterday has more than doubled.
I want to create a watch list of the beaten down stocks like airlines, hotels, retailers, movie theaters, parks, mall operators etc that were really affected by the lockdown and have a very high short interest. If anyone has suggestions they can add please do.

Spectacular Jobs report has the market on steroids. All of a sudden now analysts and hedge fund managers who were preaching doom and gloom not so long ago are being forced to upgrade and buy stocks now. Someone said the best time to buy is when there's blood in the streets and everyone else is selling.
