This man is obviously incompetent.

They keep mentioning security breach but are yet to tell us what security had been breached by these Okada operators.

As for ensuring safety, banning Okada should not even be an option. All the government needs to do is to enforce all the traffic laws to the letter. Taking people's source of livelihood from them without providing an alternative is nothing short of madness.

cheesy

Southwest is trying to curtail Aboki influx in a subtle way.
With the reactions of myetti Allah and sister organizations over Amoetekun, its obvious if not handled, doom is underway.

Ban okada and keke
Demolition of katanguwa market.
Next

I don't blame the governor, its only bubu that plays with Security

I'm not a lagosian but this exactly what yorubas are trying to achieve. The north is trying to transport terrorism to the rest of Nigeria.

GOOD!!!!!!

We need to put Lagos state in good shape.
The people are even worse than the government sometimes. People just do things anyhow.
Build houses anyhow. Throws trash on the streets and gutters anyhow.

Lagos state needs to demolish many structures.
Our street roads are too narrow.
Our highways too are too narrow.
There should be AT LEAST 4-4 LANES on our highways...
People build houses anyhow without sense.
Imagine a greedy landlord building six 3-bedroom flats on half plot of land WITHOUT A SINGLE PARKING SPACE FOR VEHICLES AND THE FOOLISH GOVERNMENTS won't even do anything about it.
They will latter be parking on the roads and be constituting nuisance.

We need to seriously organize and DEPOPULATE LAGOS.
IF you are not okay with the arrangements, GO BACK TO YOUR STATE.
Go and question your useless governors what they use states allocations to do.

Go on soun, my governor grin

I heard that many of the okada riders are from Chad, Niger republic. None Nigerians who have been sent into Lagos as spies, awaiting orders for terrorist attacks on law abiding citizens.
The earlier you flush them out of your midst, the better. They were sent to infiltrate the south west, so that once they say leggo, they are ready kampe.

The next thing we are banning is Burantashi and fura de nunu, after that we ban anyone sitting down and holding radio to his ear. We cannot allow children of the devil turn Southwest to another Sambisa forest. Amotekun and lightning from Ondo mountains will handle the rest. Let them know Southwest is a no go area for terrorists cheesy

That's the Buhari evil agenda, circulate terrorism all over Nigeria after the terrorists take over the North. But the Southwest is destroying their evil plans even before they can put it together. When Miyetti Allah fulani terrorists heard about Amotekun... cheesy

Pls let us stop criticizing any motion by the government on infrastructures and social amenities .. our road will be free from high rate accident and also reduction in crime

I think this man will be a firm leader. He's not going back on his word as some leaders are wont to do under pressure.
Those who are making a case for the culture of okada and keke are saying regulation. How can you regulate chaos, disorder, anarchy? People can bewail this for an eternity, nothing will shift. If people can't cope with the order, they can gracefully leave Lagos. After all, there are still many states relatively unoccupied in Naija.

Do you know the thousands living on keke to feed their families. If these people meet you for a hundred bucks, you will definitely not give but you prefer to see them suffer in the name of government policy? You are a heartless human. I pray your source of income is seized from you so you feel what is in their shoes.

Security of lives and properties in every part of Oodua land is not negotiable. This will not be compromised for anything. The criminal elements disguising as commercial cyclists should go back to their respective countries and states. Every Chadian,Senegalese, Burkinabe,Malian,Nigerien, Cameroonian etc can't be claiming to be a Nigerian simply because they are Fulani. That is a serious breach of security .

The ban on Okada riders and tricyclists is just a step among the numerous ones that will be taken to ensure maximum security of lives and properties in the entire South west. It should be known that governments of the six states are working on a modality that will put in place a mechanism that will ensure automatic profiling and registration of everybody that is living in this part of the country. All the various settlements in the forests will be visited for this exercise as they can no longer be allowed to be criminal abodes.

This is not targeted at anybody or ethnic group but to ensure maximum security of lives and properties that will drive investment's which will eventually bring prosperity to our people.

Long live Oodua land .

It is good policy but the governor was in a haste and that caused all these problems. He should have met with the transport stakeholders in the state, told them what he wanted to do and they could have helped to cushion the effects of withdrawal of bikes and tricycles. These private individual investors would have invested in buses in advance.
But with time now, more buses will surface and the movements of people from one place to another will be easy again. There shouldn't be going back.
