Both are extremely terrible and may have similar impacts on one’s life, but what would you consider worse in a relationship, physical or mental abuse?

both are messed up, why go thru any form of abuse in a relationship ? na by force ?

and anyone who endures physical abuse for so long in a relationship is mentally abused too. . . IMO such person is a slowpoke

^Mental abuse for sure, wearing a person down and making them feel they are worthless is much more damaging long term than physical injuries which in time will heal.

but if one stays in a relationship where he/she is being abused physically wont that affect the abused person psychologically as well ? wont he/she feel

worthless and so scared of the abuser that is s'posed to be a partner ? most of them get so psychologically screwed that they start blaming themselves for

annoying their partners whenever he/she hits them, they even make excuses for the abusers outside.
