Traffic jams are less on the Island.

Sanwo-Olu is not lifting any ban. The ban in the 6 local governments is permanent. People will get used to it. Most car users are very happy with the ban.

How did u come to d conclusion that "Most car users are very happy with the ban"? Did u interview them?

Traffic jams are not less on the island oga. How are you sure most car users happy when they go through more traffic than usual?

IMO, this situation could have been better managed instead of the sudden implementation.

I have said it already that there will be massive and incredible traffic in Lagos. We have bad roads and bad road network also and u want to ban Okada and keke.

He must be joking. He has to bring back opay and other formal bike services immediately.

Alot of people have cars they only drive it on weekends or Smtn for various reasons now everybody has to drive, do u know what that means?

Banning Okada is fine but the keke should be left to ease the stress.

Atleast they should compensate them or give them job instead of leaving them like that.
lagos state is not responsible for providing jobs for foreigners

This is very sad. These kind of decisions are suppose to be made when alternatives are in place. Lagos is a very tiny place and everybody in the bloody country wants to go there. All those big big land in ogun state that are covered in bushes, can't Lagos buy them? can't federal government buy them and increase Lagos land? It will benefit all of us. And by the way Lagos has to upgrade to electric trains now. It's the only way out of this traffic shit that I have been hearing since I was little.

Lagos state has lost over 20 billion Naira over the past few days as a result of this ill executed policy, and that is a conservative estimate.

Anyways, the benefits of having your business legalized cannot be overemphasized. It builds public confidence in your brand and wins you more sales. It is very funny that the jackasses in Nigeria cannot think to save themselves from hunger yet they want to come to USA. Lagosians of all classes should march to Lagos government house and demand either the idiotic governor stand down the ban on Okada and Keke or he step down as governor of Lagos State. They should all make Lagos ungovernable for the goon called Sanwo-Olu.

Idiotic seriously??!!
A govt implements a law to secure and safeguard the citizenry and you call it idiotic.

I advise you to, personally, lead the protest march to Govt House and also make the State ungovernable.

When Shiek Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai said he wanted a change, it wasnt easy, he said it out loud Otoge!! back in the early 90s and his subject hissed and said dubai must remain rural for life and he was crazy, they were ok with their camels and donkeys with few Tokunbo cars telling him what isnt damage doesnt need fixing

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum went around with his crazy policies that was not similar to conservative islamic veiws and they called him prince of Saytan and unislamic, he went to Egypt Air to lease just 2 plane and started Emirate Airline, he came to Nigeria to meet Obasanjo and begged him to invest Nigerias free money in dubai and make Nigeria a great return on investment, Obasanjo bluntly told him nobody invested in a desert, while Atiku secretly siphoned his money to Dubai to own some of the best malls and towers in dubai

Now Sanwo-Olu is making a crazy move that can cost him a second term, and he wants to turn lagos around calling for private investors to join the BRT scheme and Lagosboat scheme, nobody is taking the offer, if an Atiku or a Dangote comes to Lagos and capitalize on the new oppurtunity bringing in double decker bus, people would wail and scream, while this men smile to the bank

Double decker Coaches and busses start retailing from about 30 million - to 43 million naira, Ferry boats cost similar, many celebs and yahoo boys in Lagos can buy one instead of benz and range rovers or empty mansions and join the BRT fleet managed by Lagos state Government and make money forever

.
Omo forget story. Sanwo go win second term. This no be new law, Fashola promulgated and implemented the traffic law but was relaxed by Ambode.

This part is so true.
Some of us @ drove from Lekki to Ikeja this morning using 4 hours 40 mins on the road, and Lagos to Ibadan is only about 2 hours!

Again, Sanwo-Olu : We want more buses on the road
you still don't get it undecidedthis matter is not about shortage of means of transport rather it's about shortage of roads and flyover.the government should construct more roads to de-congest the over congested ones, they should also construct an inter-city railway so that the people will have another means of transportation rather than road in this way the people will have 3 options to choose from.some will use roads, some will use train while some will use ferries.

Are you truly in the USA? If you are how many Okadas and kekes do you find on the roads daily? Where you live, is transport disorganised?

See if No is your answer, of which I know it is NO, then think progressively before you draw your "ungovernable" conclusion. Are you not aware of the menace of Okadas and Kekes in Lagos? If not for carelessness of former military governors like Mobolaji Johnson and Gbolahan Mudashiru, transportation would not have fallen into private hands in this manner. Transportation is largely government driven. Sanwo Olu just requested for private participation in the transport section as a way to make life better.

Hopefully you have never been afflicted by the okada menace and pray you do not encounter it. They should be banned totally. Look at the areas where they are allowed to apply and see how their nuisance behaviour has worsened in the last three days.

Abeg leave that matter bro.

A woman that thinks. Like I've told people who are willing to listen, all those points you mentioned are the way out of the transportation mess in Lagos. Unfortunately, everywhere is congested with houses and business and there is little room for road expansion or construction of new roads.

Keep this disinformation to yourself.

Do you know how many hundreds of billions of dollars Dubai has sunk into the desert - Starting from the $1billion they sunk into burj arab?

Air conditioned bus stop shelter with leather seat!

All you guys know is to select stories that favor your wicked actions. You won't see death penalty for thieves in government. Instead it's death penalty for hate speech.

You won't see high speed rails and 16 lane roads to copy that allows the west to be okada free.

You won't see the 100 giga watt (not megawatt - gigawatts) electricity China completes every YEAR!

If they had the same vagabonds in power that we do they'd be using okada too.

People are commiting suicide like say na fashion. Look into the cause and ease the hardship. No, it's to ban snipper.

Nigerian government is lucky. If me and every other 'average Nigerian' were batshit crazy like Arabs the country would have changed since and officials will think properly before taking actions that affect millions negatively.

Anyways, the people deserve their leaders. Una vote am in, we all suffer together. Government workers wey dey scream for 30k minimum salary. Na vat, BRT, increased tax rate Dem go use collect all the 'increment.'
