even whites engage in human sacrificing rituals

You.might find one crazy wacko engage in such act, but the average White man has evolved past such archaic behaviors. The average Nigerian still believes in such trash that have no basis in facts and reality.

How many Nigerian movies have this man seen to make this judgement?

And those of you who would come here to say Nigerian movies is this and that or u don't watch Nigerian movies and all that trash, pls shut the f up. Do you know how many jobs this industry creates?

Back to oga Fash. You are in government. You should use your position to support the industry instead of criticizing it and doing nothing.

agreed. Nollywood creates jobs but no concrete stats on that.

What you see in end score after viewing a decent Hollywood movie.

If we don't rise up to this standard, our generic movie industry is still wack. However, we're thankful for high standard our new filmographers are setting... Kunle Afolayan, Kemi Adetiba, Omoni Oboli, to name a few

Agnostics:
Especcially Yoruba movie

Yoruba movie is all about blood money, human rituals, infidelity or how to cheat on your hobby, and other immoral acts
I hate Yoruba movies wt a passion. It really commonizes and promotes adultery. Even the TV shows on Africa magic yoruba portrays adultery as a fact of life dt wives arent supposed to bat an eyelid about. And every story is so sexualized, all of odunlade adekolas jokes are about sex, eulogizing some lady's bum or boobs. You can tell all the producers are dirty Randy old men. Little wonder all these small boys in society are messed up. I am Yoruba and I made everyone in my family eventually hate those movies.

Only tunde kelani and kunle afolayan makes good Yoruba movies.

Ibo film.... Money rituals
Wicked uncle, wicked step mother, someone must confess, the dead must fight back, once poor now rich will show the people that didn't help pepper. Same storyline no creativity

Yoruba film... Money rituals, stealing, thuggery, wife cheats on husband, husband cheats on wife, prostitution is a norm, thieves make it and retire to enjoy the spoils off their Ill gotten wealth, witches everywhere, even just this evening they just finished showing "ololo",promiscuity extraordinaire.

The recent films made by the likes of Genevieve make solid sense. I hope they continue that way.

Nollywood portrays societal existential realities

Whereas, increasing money ritual and kidnapping is as a result of acute poverty in the land.

Mr man, you want to lose my respect gradually abi..

edoairways:
money ritual is a myth yet it is increasing on daily basis

Reason this way - In south africa where HIV is prevalent, there exist an acclaimed HIV cleansing ritual carried out by Witch Doctors. After some activities including sacrifices are completed, the HIV male patient has to sleep with a virgin which means he will get cured and the Virgin will get the HIV he had. Out of every single arrest made the virgin raped had HIV but there was no instance where a male patient who committed rape was cured of the Virus. Now, despite the publications after various arrests, a rural south African man still believes that he can get cured of HIV by sleeping with the virgin. He probably asks himself the question " if the ritual was fake, why are people raping virgins and why do the virgins raped have HIV?" instead of the most important question "if the ritual was real, why is the Male HIV patient not cured? "

It is the same question I will ask you today. In a country where everyone arrested for money ritual seems to be poor, living in a remote village, inside a hut
or one bedroom apartment and there has been never one valid arrest made among residents of Lekki phase one or Banana Island why do citizens ask the question " if money rituals is fake why do people kill and severe body parts of others at a shrine?" and not the questions- " why are those caught in the act of ritual killings not among the top richest people in their country, state, local government, or village? " , "why are they usually wretched ?" , "How does undocumented spiritual money suddenly gets its way into the banking system without the Central Bank and commercial Banks noticing a one billion Naira that was not gotten from anywhere and doesn't raise an alarm (remember according to the Money laundering Act, a person cannot deposit more than just 5 million naira by cash)."
"Why do people believe that when a supposed ritualist gives you money for a business, the business would fold up, yet this supposed ritualist deposits same money with a commercial bank and the bank doesn't fold up but rather yields interest from the money. "

The answer ,I guess , is Our Belief system passed down by local media and folklore . It's my opinion though, I do not rebuke yours. Everyone is entitled to his thinking, a man cannot learn or be taught what he already knows. I know nothing just like no one knows everything.

There are many storylines that can change the narrative. To stop depicting money rituals in their movies doesn't mean any job will be lost in the industry.

What amuses me is that once there is peace in a family, know that there is either husband or wife doing something shady. It is the calm before the storm.

That guy drinking water in ololo after sleeping with another man's wife aka baba ijesha was sleep with my landlord's wife and calling him his brother, they will give the old man super apet and he'll sleep so much that he'll pee on himself. They did that until the old man died and they began acting together as baba ijesha and wife.

You should have balanced the pictures by putting some from Yoruba movies too. I don't mean to bring tribal sentiment tho..., but that's what I'd have done.

By the way, I'm Yoruba, and I think Yoruba artists do more of ritual movies than any tribe. The minister is absolutely right, we need to change the storyline. It reminds me why Dad won't allow us watch "Koto Orun" and all those Abija series then.
