Please I have a ask....to ally in schools over there..should one's CV be in our own format or theirs....If theirs please I would appreciate @whyna if u can show us a sample of what their CV over there looks like..
Thank you

Hi,

There's no format per say. Just follow these guidelines...

1) Put your picture at the top right corner next to your personal details.

2) Work experience comes next. Experiences related to teaching should be listed out first. Then others can follow if any.

3) Then education. Here you include both degrees, TEFL, and Msc if any

These are the 3 most important things. One page is enough. These three are all they need.

Others are just jara

@WhyNa

I hope you're doing great.

What is the reality on religion in vietnam? We all know what China is doing to religion. Are there Muslims there? Mosque? Churches?

Are Vietnamese people generally religious like nigerians?

Thank you.

There are lots of Muslims here. What I don't know is if they have a mosque. For churches, yes there are penticostal churches, Catholic, JW and co. The most popular being HIF....in Hanoi though.

Some Viets are Buddhists, some worship their ancestors, some worship money, some are indifferent.

I've heard the government sort of prohibits public religious worships and I hear lots of Vietnamese who convert to Christianity are persecuted at home and work.

I for one have never had issues going to church activities and all so....this is the much I know

If you read through the thread, you would have actually seen that I mentioned these things and no, everyone doesn't need to do the exact same thing I did. Gosh! What works for A in January might not work for B in February!//

See I don't know it all. Nothing is permanent and if there's one thing about Vietnam, they pass laws on a steady. People should do some research on their own too and I bet you, they'll find things even I didn't find.

If I had waited for the guy who talked about Vietnam and refused to help me, I would still be in Nigeria today eating into my savings and reading travel threads hoping for someone to spoon feed me.

My dear i understand you, but it's not a big deal since you won't reveal the agent details.

just point them to the school you got your tefl certificate from. this will go a long way in helping.

that aside thank you for this thread, I dey Vietnam in spirit right now cheesy

In this 2020/2021, prepare at least £20k for UK student route.

We chat is not working. I have tried severally to register even though I have the app on my phone. I usually make use of skype and emails.

Heyyyy

I'm truly sorry for the silence. Twas due to the following reasons....

1. Work load. I'd honestly say this month is the first month I really workee and made good mula as in 7 figures. Also means less rest but man pikin don dey rest since so we good

2. I've been ill. Guess it's the change in weather but after taking drugs, I'm better now. This is the second time I'm under the weather and having to take medication. I noticed their drugs work faster than what we have back home and they don't pack plenty plenty drugs. Just the necessary dosage required to make you well again

The first time, I had malaria like symptoms, went to the pharmacy and explained the symptoms, was given just one dosage of drugs. Sh** knocked me out and had me sleeping for almost 24 hours and I felt better

3 days ago, I was down with flu, cough, sore throat and fever. I'm better now

3. There really is nothing to update as it's just same old. Work, borders still closed etc. But I understand the need to drop in every once in a while to encourage you guys. If I don't, please drop your questions and I'll answer in the meantime. My schedule is thankfully crazy now

In other news, some people have started entering the country. These people are those their company presented and processed all documents required for entry to the government. They also paid $100 a day for 14 days quarantine when they get in. Quarantine used to be free but no more. So only these experts are the ones able to bring in people. They are very big companies and some international schools

I'm still envisaging that borders will remain closed until after TET holiday in February as they wouldn't want to risk it. Hoping for April/June thingy will change

Y'all stay safe

Nice hearing from you again. Sorry about the sickness, just don't expose yourself to the cold and if you can stop riding bike for sometime.

The VT government are not going to open the border anytime soon...maybe after there's a covid vaccine sha. The closed border means less teachers, more jobs. Milk the opportunity ma'am.

Stay safe and I'm rooting for you.
