WhyNa:Nice that means yours truly is next for vaccination as a teacher any thoughts on that?
Re: My Journey To Hanoi, Vietnam by WhyNa: 12:33pm On Feb 25
Sorry I don't. But I guess you could email the school or ask one of your professors
Re: My Journey To Hanoi, Vietnam by WhyNa: 12:36pm On Feb 25
Thankful I think. Lots of my friends in other countries have taken the vaccine and they are still alive with no side effects lol.
Being second batch is also good so we go don monitor although the government also has plans of monitoring those who have receive it. The Minister of Health said that in one of his articles and I believe am cos these person na talk and do.
Also, I'm hoping it's free for we foreigners. No news about that yet

I came here to apologize to @Whyna earlier dz year I was so desperate to leave this country and I did tefl as she did and reach out but she said she can't gt me an agent and I was oissed off that I took it off her here on a post by throwing a shade at her.
I summoned the courage and started applying randomly and making research and like play I started having wechat interviews and zoom interviews luckily for me I just got one work in Korea and was given the options to start online incase if the border will not be open before April and the salary was wow now the truth is I may not eventually take the Korea teaching offer because I still have another one that is far better
I'm sorry WhyNa for earlier outburst, I'm really sorry

Re: My Journey To Hanoi, Vietnam by tensazangetsu20(m): 11:08pm On Feb 26
YEAEMEDIA:If you are very sure of the first option. Take it and wait for the second one.
Re: My Journey To Hanoi, Vietnam by Joohan: 10:23pm On Feb 28
I'm sorry for the late response.
I've been so caught up lately and haven't been online like that.
Unfortunately, the visa agents and the government work hand-in-hand, so if there'll be any changes to the price, it won't be that much cus they know expats will gladly pay. I'm also on the look out for something cheaper (might have found someone tho) I know this year won't pass us by. Get all your documents ready and make friends with locals online. I've started a private class online which pays little something, and it pays part of my bills. Just get a good laptop, a strong connection and apply on palfish.
@Yeaemedia, I'll advice you go to Korea, they tend to pay more than other Asian countries (except Japan and maybe China). Getting a work Visa in SK will give you lots of access to other first world countries without any form of denials. You'd love SK... you'll get to tour Seoul, Itaewon, Gangnam, Busan and other amazing places. Best of luck in whatever decision you choose.
Make I go search for work in korea

techjeff:which school gave you the admission please?
Re: My Journey To Hanoi, Vietnam by ImDStar: 10:34am On Mar 02
@whyNa, please check your mail, it's urgent
Re: My Journey To Hanoi, Vietnam by WhyNa: 11:36am On Mar 03
It's been a minute. Again, apologies for not updating frequently. Like I said earlier, I only want to give out content that's new or that helps in anyway either by giving you insight of what life is like here or what to expect for those coming.
Sadly, I haven't been able to do much of that compared to when I just arrived as I work work work and then this year's TET wasn't a fun one due to Covid-19 so I couldn't go out or take pictures.
Anyways, everything is under control now and schools are back on. Yayyyy. I'll be resuming on Monday.
So today, I visited another province 3 hours from mine and used the sleeper bus. See pictures attached.
Here's what my experience was like....
The journey to the province was amazing. We were just about 10 or so even though we left by 8am and the bus could take maybe 40 people.
The seat/bed was sooo comfortable with enoughhhh leg space and options to comfortable recline or adjust your seat/bed however you want.
There's AC and WiFi and blankets are provided. You also take off your shoes when you go in and you're given a nylon to put them. We had a brief stop one hour into the journey and when stepping out of the bus, slippers are provided so you don't need to put your shoes back on again.. I slept very well. Haha.
The journey back though wasn't so amazing for one sole reason. The bus was fiull. The only vacant seat/bed was Infront and I wast comfortable so the moment someone from the back alighted, I took the space and big mistake....foul odour. I jejely went back to my previous space.
This is my first experience though. Probably some people there had some BO issues or maybe that's the way it is when the bus is full but I doubt cos only that area had that foul odour.
In order news, I've started my quest on finding side hustles one can do here apart from teaching. I already have one but hey, I gat Igbo blood
Did you know bone straight hair comes from Vietnam . Let me know if you're into that let's do business.
Someone asked about school and visa. I still don't know how schooling and visa works here. I only know about working and visas.
To those "waiting" for it to get "better" ....well, while it's good to have hope, I'd advise you either take your time and think fast or while thinking, have options b and c because as long as Covid-19 is around, there's no getting better.
I've watched visa prices increase with 100usd, then 500 USD, then more than 1000 USD thanks to the rules the government keeps dishing out.
As if that's not enough, IELTS will soon follow so make hay if you've really thought about it and you feel Vietnam is the place for you.
This changes are also good for us here already as compared to the stupid 800 USD per month they were offering our African brethrens, it's now 1200. It's still poor to me but very okay for a beginner.
Hopefully, I can give more frequent updates. It may help if there's a particular topic or there are pictures of particular things you want to see. Then I can work on that.

WhyNa:I am aware that Double drawn hairs come from Vietnam and do get chats from Vietnam hair vendors too but I was afraid of doing business with them. They got my number from my page and could possibly be scammers. If the hairs are cheap and shipping to my location is hassle free, we can do business.

Yes. Including super double drawn quality. I have replied you.
