Balyesa and I'm judgements will soon be reversed.
We are in Democracy not Judiciocracy.
I seriously doubt that. If that happens, Zamfara's case will likely be reopened likewise Imo state's own.

On a more serious note, does it mean that all Governors both past and present just can't stop the killing of youngsters in Edo state all in the name of cultism ? It baffles me how they don't talk about it...[/quote]

The quest for power is indeed something else. Greedy administrators everywhere. Oshiomole demanding for too much. Obaseki laying claim to a whole state and stake holders caught in between. PDP will be foolish not to capitalize on the problems in APC in the state right now.
PDP is already capitalising on Edo APC saga but want to keep its strategy to itself.
Nigerians will be shocked on the outcome

Where is the 'human face' in governance?

Woke up with strength and vigour this morning and was up to face today with all hopes and aspirations but was sad & almost started crying after watching this video.

I've been an advocate of leaders been strong at all time with will power to carry out leadership responsibilities. And that emotional leaders don't go far but certainly not this way.

In leadership and governance, there's a place for 'Human face' no matter the circumstances. Widows to the best of my knowledge are integral part of our society and if we don't apply human face when dealing with them, am afraid we are far from getting there as a people.

Two wrongs indeed can never make things right and as such, can't fathom why the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams A. O. will treat this widow like this and even tell her to go and die when she's struggling to provide food for her family. I think it would've been far better to make her pay a fine for her wrong doing than this humiliation.

The agony of the poor in our society......

Ubijus1:
A British invasion force headed by Phillips set out to overthrow the Oba in 1896. The force’s weapons were hidden in baggage, with troops disguised as bearers. Phillips plan was to gain access to Ovonramwen’s palace by announcing that he intended to negotiate. Ovonramwen’s messengers issued several warnings not to violate Benin territorial sovereignty, claiming he was unable to see Phillips due to ceremonial duties. Having been warned on several further occasions on the way, Phillips sent his stick to the Oba, a deliberate insult designed to provoke the conflict that would provide an excuse for British annexation.

Phillip’s expedition was ambushed and all but two were killed. Subsequently a military operation against Benin in 1897 led by Harry Rawson resulted in the burning of Benin City, the destruction and looting of the royal palaces, and the deaths of untold numbers of its inhabitants. Although the British had orders to hang the Oba, Ovonramwen escaped, but returned to the city to formally surrender on 5 August 1897. When Ovonramwen returned to the city, after six months spent in evading capture in the forest, he was richly dressed and laden with coral beads and accompanied by an entourage of seven hundred to eight hundred people.

He attempted to escape exile by offering Consul General Ralph Moor 200 puncheons (barrels) of oil worth £1500 [£183000.00 today] and to disclose where his 500 ivory tusks were buried [today’s value: Up to £275,625,500.00] however this offer was dismissed as Mr. Moor had already discovered them.

Ovonramwen was exiled to Calabar with his two of his wives, Queen Egbe and Queen Aighobahi, and died there around the turn of the new year in 1914. Ovonramwen was eventually buried in the grounds of the royal palace in Benin City. He was succeeded by his first son and legitimate heir, Prince Aguobasimwin, who ruled as Eweka II.

Is it not good that they are killing themselves! at least their evil number would be reducing instead of increasing.see armed fulani herdsmen ravaging their villages and they can go and show their power and expertise in the use of guns, battle axe and cutlass with herdsmen. it is only to be killing each other that they know.small small boys who are callous, merciless killers.let dem continue till they finish dem selves so that every body can have peace.

APC nor get state party chairman? I believe the issue of checking certificates rest on the state and the national chairman is just to approve their wish or choice candidate.

APC is in power in Edo state because of Oshiomhole and no amount of surreptitious campaign by obaseki's amateur associates and handlers can refute that. So it is laughable to now turn around and say Edo state APC does not need Oshiomhole anymore, that his presence and participation is now a disadvantage.
From recent events it is quite clear that those opposed to PARTY SUPREMACY are dead set against Oshiomhole and will not hesitate to use blackmail, fear, lies etc to advance their vested interests.
This article is a great example of the underhanded methods Obaseki and company will resort to.Shame on them. If anything it is Obaseki and opportunistic members like him that has done a lot of HARM to APC.

As Edo State 2020 governorship election draws nearer, stakeholders in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and across the country have continued to express worry over the chances of their party retaining power. One of their major concerns is the dimension to which the ongoing face-off between the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole and the incumbent, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has gone.

With Bayelsa State already lost to the opposition due to the party’s inability to handle its affairs well under the watch of Oshiomhole, stakeholders’ fears for Edo have become palpable. Some stakeholders have called what happened in Bayelsa as an unforgivable act of impunity on the part of the party’s leadership led by Oshiomhole. This is more so after a similar incident cost the party Taraba State only last year.

What does the writer expect from Major General Bihari? If he hardly say or intervened on issues concerning Nigeria as the President and Chief of Armed Forces, then it speaks volume.

Anti oshomhole agents should just stop wasting time and resources. The man is firmly seated as Apc chairman. He's got the who is who in the party firmly on his side.Hate or like him,the bitter truth is that he's not going anywhere any time. And for the write up wholy hinged on bayelsa, assuming the supreme court reviews the case in favour of Apc and David Lyon by March what will the writer say then? Oshiomhole still has the support of buhari, tinubu, national assembly leaders majority of state chairmen and governors on his side. Cheap propaganda like this and sponsored almajiri protest just can't remove him.
