There was no good motive behind the amalgamation of 1914 rather the effort made by the colonial masters to minimize their colonial cost. The infrastructural facilities put in place is for them. If the colonial masters foresee that their would one day brake away, they wouldn't have put some amenities on ground. The construction of railway, hospitals, motorable roads and the likes are not for the benefit of the natives. Amalgamation was serious blunder for Nig.. |
