finally stepped on the night bus, 11pm. arrived at the south end of this island at 3am.

wind leaking windows, vomiting stuff on the ground emitting smells, sleeping man reclining on me...... a ramshackle bus rumbling through fishy seaside night air along the dark road, heading to the remote island tip.

it felt like i was being in a movie.

Following. You're one hell of an adventurist. Be careful when you visit predominantly Muslims cities like Mindanao because of the ever lurking presence of the much dreaded Abu Sayyaf terrorist group - the Philippines version of Nigeria's Boko Haram. Have fun!

Great! Thanks for allaying my fears - which came about some of the stuff I read about Mindanao.

a nearby auntie asked me what time it was. she gestured her wrist. i gestured back and showed her i had no watch.

few philipinos used smartphones , they used monochromatic phones. and a watch was something to them.

very sleepy this morning, for 2 nights without a proper sleep. so, i did not take many photos on my way. there were white beaches aside. this was the bridge across the samar island to the next island, leyte.
