The context is within tradition, and if u take it to law, I hope u know they aren't married not to talk of the legally accepted court wedding.

I just told u what is obtainable as regards to the context with tradition in quote.
there is no law court that will rule against a father with a 99.9% DNA with a child Bro. whether the man in question is married to the woman or not.....as for tradition, the father also have his own tradition....

And there are no sanctimonous traditions igbo tradition, where daughters are treated as commodities to be sold to the highest bidder, where women are not allowed to inherit their fathers properties, where women are forced to drink the bath water of their husband's corpse and where Osu tradition is still rife.

What's the wisdom in these stupid traditions? So you know igbo tradition and customs is as primitive as sharia. Anyway, sharia just like primitive igbo customs is for the poor. Have you seen any rich man being tried in sharia court? Same way you cannot try any rubbish igbo culture on rich and influential people.

Customary laws are the lowest laws in the hierarchy of laws in Nigeria. Ordinary state laws over ride customary laws.

You are just angry like a boko haram member who wants to carry out suicide bombings. Igbo archaic traditions only apply in Igboland to people to subscribe to it. You can't force a Yoruba man or Hausa man to abide by igbos tradition. If you can't stand your daughter being impregnated by a Yoruba man, train your daughters or sisters not to open legs for Yoruba men.

This muslim man, if you are not ready to follow the tradition stick to your own women, customary laws are sacrosanct and cannot be overruled. If you think otherwise, bring your fulani herdsmen and settle them by force on communal lands by quoting your constitution. Even your buhari as rabidly nepotistic can try it!

Your laws are barely a few decades old, but Igbo customary laws have outlived your 10 generation ancestors and will outlive your 10th generation offspring. We both know that.

That child belongs to the maternal family, take it or leave it.

You are talking nonsense. Customary laws are sacrosanct. Traditional marriage is even more sacrosanct that white wedding.

That marriage has not been properly customarily consumated and remain illegal If Chioma's father drags Davido to court, he will win.

Which cave are you from?
Marriage isn't required for legal paternity.

You're joking right? Please remove the term "legal"! If we are talking legally, your quote is entirely rubbish! Better review the 9ja Constitution so that you don't land in trouble one day with this your comical tribal beliefs grin grin grin

Quote one part of the Constitution to buttress you claim.

So Nigerian constitution encourages impregnating a girl. And at same time has right over the person under the guidance of the parents.
Mr Oga am tired of arguing on this topic and i have already made my conclusion that most igbos are simply delusional. If Davido wants to take full responsibilty of his Child with or without marriage to Chioma he has a right to joint custody of the Child so far he meets Criteria of taking good care of the child. No Igbos Tradition can change that.

I just dey look u dey laugh. So you think Yoruba people go sitdown dey look una claim Davido Son or you think we no get culture too. Or when the Court pronounce Davido as his righful father and Mobile Police Men and Soldiers are given orders to bring the Child for Davido's joint custody your stupid tradition will stand. When soldiers decend on that your stupid village you will know how far.

If you like use battalions of Fulani herdsmen take guard the pikin, Ifeanyi belongs to maternal family as far as the marital rites are not consummated.

Na the muscles wey dey your lips go tire. Water will naturally find it's level when you shout finish.

Just like Tonto and churchill
Churchill was never denied paternity. Tonto was given custody of their son for obvious reasons, he is very young (young children need their mothers more), tonto is more financially stable. Churchill was given visitation rights but through a nanny (tonto has refused to hire a nanny).

Tonto's father or any other man cannot claim churchill's son. The boy is bearing churchill's name.

Ewedu people still think they can sound sanctimonous about Igbo marital tradition but they still preserve all sort of obscenities in their yoruba tradition, these sanctimonous oafs still kidnap people, kill them and bury them with corpse of their kings when a yoruba king dies.

But they think Igbo tradition and customary laws with all it's wisdom should be relegated for their benefit? What nonsense? Can these numbskulls go to the north and tell the hausas how to re-organize their Sharia?

Hear it very clear you morons, Customary laws still remain sacrosanct, as far that law have not been abrogated, that child belongs to Chioma's dad, davido is a simply a sperm donor who has refused to do the needful.

This is not yoruba tradition, where every thug and tout like mufutau, mutiu and Kazeemu can impregnate every sikira and bilikis with pride but without responsibility. Breeding hopeless agberos and bastards everywhere.

Igbo tradition has it's roots in wisdom and it will outlive both you and I.

Oga take a seat and stop saying nonsense.

Customary law remains subject to Nigerian law and Davido remains the father of the baby brideprice or no brideprice

Tonto's father or any other man cannot claim churchill's son. The boy is bearing churchill's name.

So Tonto can brainwash that child,
2. Tonto can introduce that child to the Dad and that child will take Tonto's Dad as a father figure.

3. Tonto can call that boy any name she wishes as long as it's a port Harcourt traditional name...... Igbo name.

4. That boy will never learn how to speak Yoruba.

It goes on and on till that boy is fvcked.

5. Tonto can add a fourth name to that boy's name
