For record purpose. That you knew about Imo but did not know about Bayelsa.

Strange.

Because NOBODY knows it all.

Uzodunma is not the one to determine the validity of an election. Yes, he can argue that but his argument is only an argument before the court

My pain here is that with this battering of Justice will follow the battering of life, infrastructure, and sanity in government of IMO. The otokoto era, looting of the state and dehumanization of citizens for no cause of theirs will return in full. When a fish will rotten it starts from the head.

The court applies the law to all sides of arguments. Some argument stand and some do not stand.

Good point!
Reason so many cases is going as far as supreme court, is that all candidates including opposition knows Buhari will not interfere with the work of the judiciary to influence a favourable outcome for the govt.

History would be kind to Supreme Court Justice Chima Centus Nweze, JSC.......PhD, LLM, LLB. He has by this judgement immortalized himself as a fair, just and upright justice with unshakable integrity.

"Wonders shall never end! That means there were 159,340 votes in excess of the total number of accredited votes. “In the circumstance, I think that the humble view, that this court has inherent jurisdiction of redeeming its image by setting aside the said judgement, is not out of place.”

Eight, “Even then, this court declared the first appellant the winner in the said election when there was no evidence that he satisfied the true requirement of highest number of votes cast in the election and a position of not less than one-quarter of all the votes cast in each of at least two-thirds of all the local government areas in the State, Section 179 (2) (a) and (b) of the Constitution. If left, the said judgement of the Supreme Court will continue to haunt our electoral jurisprudence now and in the future.”

This dude should have been CJN, Chief Justice of Nigeria.

As long as we continue to rely on court to get Justice the more injustice judgement will be delivered. Court process is alien to African culture. How can someone who stole money get a favorable judgement just because he hire a smart lawyer who can prove the case knowing fully well that his client actually committed the crime. Carry Ihedioha and Uzodima come our shrine to swear to the shrine I bet u the actual winner will be known within 3days not the cut and nail way of justice. Tufiakwa!!!!!

Interesting !!! This honourable, morally upright and noble supreme court justice has written his name in gold for he has put it clearly in the records for posterity sake. While the rest of the unjust, unfair and draconian justices would be remembered as the shameless and corrupt set of justices that seriously damaged the reputation of the judiciary.

Indeed wonders shall never end !!!

Two, “In a nutshell, the applicants’ case was woven around their contention that the said judgement of this court was null and void since it was made without jurisdiction. Hence, time does not run against them in relation to the null judgement.”

Four, “In the judgement of this court, this jurisdiction of court was not specifically dealt with. Hence, the judgement of Adah J.CA. is still a subsisting judgement.

Seven, “True indeed, DW 5, in his INEC form EC40G, Exhibit 63 RB1, 63 RB19 shows that elections in those polling units were either cancelled or did not hold at all. Unfortunate for defence was that the said first appellant misled this court into accepting those duplicitous and fake results which he had tabulated as shown above that was how 213, 695 votes were added to him and 1, 903 votes were added to the first applicant. The net effect was that although by Exhibit A1 Form EC8, Exhibit AGA2 in the affidavit in support of the application, the total number of accredited voters in the state was 823,743, the total number of votes cast came 961, 083.

Wonders shall never end!

Not imposing any fine is their pathetic way of trying to make amends by tacitly admitting they were in error.

THAT NAME “NWEZE” WILL BE FOREVER WRITTEN IN GOLD in the annals of Nigerian jurisprudence!!
He stood his ground and told the TRUTH despite all the pressure that must have been put on him.

The SC was clearly wrong or compromised or both.
There is no law that says they shouldn’t see the clearly fraudulent nature of the documents right in front of them.
Also notice how they carefully did not mention numbers in their judgement, in a case that’s all about numbers! For same reason they dared not mention meeting the constitutionally mandated geographical spread - because they know the numbers make no sense - the man gave himself more votes than there are voters! Same reason INEC dared not give the final tally of votes as they did in Bayelsa and all others - they’d be laughed at!

Unfortunately his dissenting judgement is also a nullity because it can't be quoted or cited in any case. At best it is his personal opinion which amounts to nothing. What kind of judge will declare Ihedioha Governor when he also did not meet the required spread since he raised the issue of spread against Uzodinma?

He more than met the required spread. You folks should stop brandishing that lie. Nwosu’s candidature was ruled invalid and void plus 388 units cancelled.

I don’t understand people like u celebrating something like this. Remember this will also affect u yourself in the future

Honestly in my life time, I have not seen a more absurd judgement than this. How did the supreme court get itself into this mess? Reversing itself has grave consequences, hence its refusal to do it.

It's quite very unfortunate u will never hear falana condemning this great miscarriage of justice by the supreme court justices. I totally lost my respect for that man when he was condemning the bayelsa SC judgement it's now very obvious to me that he is an apc supporter and probably a tribalist.

The Supreme Court is afraid to reverse itself. You can imagine the number of cases that needs to be revisited.

Refusal to reverse is a saving face game.

I WEEP FOR THE FUTURE OF NIGERIA. CORRUPTION! IS NOW THE NATIONAL ANTHEM BECAUSE IF THE TEMPLE OF JUSTICE NEXT TO GOD CAN DO THIS TO A VALID FIRST RUNNER UP IN AN ELECTION, THEN THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THE COMMON MAN. SIR/MA DON'T BE SURPRISED IF THE WHITE MAN TREATS YOU LIKE A THIEF ONCE YOU SAY OR THEY FIND OUT YOU ARE A NIGERIAN BECAUSE THE SUPREME COURT HAS SHOWN THAT THERE IS NO TRUTH IN NIGERIA. ISAIAH 59 VS 14 SAYS " And judgement is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter". This is what the supreme court has just done to Nigeria legal jurisprudence forever. I WEEP FOR NIGERIA!!!!
