Integrafamoo: Come on, and you have started regretting going for MSC? This is just a phase that will soon pass away. Trust me, when the right opportunities come, you will be grateful you did. When Opportunity meets Preparation what you Get is ASTOUNDING SUCCESS. Relax. Keep hoping Keep trusting God He will make all things good. Tell yourself great thins before going to bed daily. Ensure you keep searching and applying for opportunities online. The scriptures says , do not be weary in doing good. Don’t get tired. Don’t get weary. Don’t complain. chukzyfcbb: You are absolutely right! My last line manager is a perfect example. Dude earning $2200k per month and doing not so much. Developers are resigning because they felt he is earning so much while the coders who are doing the main job are earning far less. I left too. |

betterpikinn: Are you for real? Please don’t be limited. Knowledge is power. People earn way higher than that here in Naija. My advice: get better. Up your skill set. Be highly marketable. In no time 1m/month will be like nothing. 2 Likes |

vickthorious: Most of this opportunities are advertised online. They are also pasted on notice boards at the faculties/departments in different schools. Make it a duty to always check notice boards every week. And be a voracious reader. Checking forums and sites online for such opportunities. NAIRALAND is also a good place to get such info too. In addition, newspaper publications is another good source. In those days guardian & punch newspapers used to be the go-to newspaper for such info. There are specific days of the week for such publications. It used to be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in some cases. Also Keep a circle of informed friends. They are always in the know and they would share it amongst themselves. Good luck. |

chukzyfcbb: A very succinct point. Everyone thinks IT skills automatically leads to financial success and that picture is painted everywhere. In a firm in Lagos that advertised for Mid-level developers, they received tens of more applications than the positions available. Some who started IT programs are later burned-out and even turned to other careers. From experience and as it's true of other profession the best is not always hired. It's the demand for coding that's justifies the high earnings, and if the earnings are the motivating factor for anyone going into it...the chances of success becomes minimal. 6 Likes |

After my Industrial training in a tech company which i only spent 11 months,my friend and i decided to go ahead and apply for Internship again in a bank to spend another one month before going back to school. With no connection i topped the aptitude test and my friend came second. We were invited for interview which we passed. They were only looking for two people so they picked us. Two weeks into the job,the ogas at the top didn't confirm our employment because all their candidates were not picked. Different staff members kept asking us how we got in and always have this surprise look when know we'd no connect in the bank. To cut the long story short,we were told to leave that our IT letter is about to expire and we should go back to school. A close boss that really like us explained the whole thing to us that we topped the list of candidates for the job and they wont allow us to stay because they want their own candidates. They brought in two people to replace us and they all have family members working in the bank. We left after two weeks. Nigeria and Nepotism(5&6) 4 Likes 1 Share |

zoezoelogistics:This is a good one, but do you know that for a waist trainer sold 10k at Aliexpress, you could get it for 2 to 5k at 1688.com? You make more money buying from 1688 if you know how to use it. If you don't know how to buy in Chinese sites, pchat me for a link of a good trainer. He trains for N2,500 and still adds you to his telegram where there are several thousands of other sellers to hold your hands. For sharing your aliexpress info here, I will reply your pchat and give you the link. Cheers! Note , you can buy from China, Vietnam, USa etc. That guy trains for all that. You can ask questions on that telegram b4 u make purchases so that other sellers will advise on any cheaper source or bad review. For eg, you don't go buying hair on that site cos most hair there are 'sponge.' There are other sources of good hair. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Apart from IT, I see many medical doctors earning 60k to 80k. My sister was even paid 40k after her youth service in a private hospital and the hubby wanted her to continue working there cos it was close to the house till my mum got angry. Was it because of 40k that millions were spent on her in medical school? Fast forward, she was pushed to get a federal government job and now she earns better. Why will you earn 200k as a medical doctor when you can write PLAB exam and go and work in UK? Fortunately, UK and Nigeria syllable is the same, so if you really know what you did in school, why won't you pass? Do you know how much medical doctors are paid in UK? Even if you don't like UK? What of Saudi Arabia? It pains me seeing how doctors have to lobby and beg to be admitted so that they can train as consultants, while another country is begging for doctors to come? Bro please I would like you to guide me. I just began reading an ebook on HTML5 and JavaScript. I've got a laptop but erratic power supply have been an hindrance. I've tried using those Bet9ja shops in my area but that place isn't conducive for learning. I'm very interested in learning programming and would like to please be under your guide. I'm a complete JJC in the field and I would like to network with people that have been in the game for a long time. Would be glad to hear from you and leran from the contributions of other great techies here. Thanks 4dor: |
