Yes two weeks is too early.but like I explained I wasn't impressed with the feeding routine the young pups were getting since their mum wasn't lactating properly...I believe separating Cesar was a risky decision that has turned out to be a good one so far because he is way bigger in size than his litter mates,also he has successfully been potty trained( whenever he wants to pee or poo he sits at the exit door and starts scratching it), quickly Rushes when he hears his name, and also there is this "ssshhh" sound I usually make whenever he is doing something wrong, whenever I make the sound he stops immediately and looks at me in a funny way...all this archived at just 6 weeks when some pups re still with their mum running around...Point is because I took him in very early he ll not just see me as an alpha but also his mother

7 weeks on the dot...Cesar is lucky the timing of me getting him coincided with this lockdown thus giving him 100% of my attention....since last week he has developed fear of the unknown,any little sound scares him..I try to make him comfortable by repeating such sound until he gets used to it...Also I don't know if it's too early or normal but his guard instinct is top notch... whenever I am with him close to the gate and a stranger is walking by he looks up in a mean way growls and give out a few little barks...lol one time a guy was like " So na this small thing dey bark for me"

Thanks..am even surprised that he looks more like a boerboel no single trace of rott coat... People do mistake him for a full breed but I always tell them he is a beor-weiler

Does any of the litter mate have the coat of the rott nd the look of the mother ? Bcoz ur pup have similar resemblance with the father ND similar coat

Non have the complete coat of a rott but rather some have mixed black and fawn coating..the hands is more of fawn/brown of boerboel then the upper body is black with diluted fawn...I think ceaser is more percent of bb and lesser rott..

thanks for asking he is doing ok. Doing what puppies do best eat,play,chew and whine sometimes I find it difficult to keep up with his energy that am forced to leash him so I can rest

Op nice one.. ur management is pretty impressive, welldone, but like I stated earlier, ur dog needs to socialise with other pups, without that am 60% sure ur place as an alpha will be threatened before it turns a year old

Its a pup now, but dont forget you have two aggressive genes in dat dog, without propal socialisation ur dog go get temperament issues,..

Thank you for your advice..I have been working on socializing him with other dogs but this lockdown hasn't made it easy...I once took him to see a friends Llasa apso but the lahsa was too shy and scared to approach Cesar he was barking all the while, cesar was scared at first but later became calmer and was trying to approach the dog only for it to be running and barking at the same time, I was so disappointed as Cesar ended up losing interest and went to sleep while the other dog was busy sniffing every were Cesar had been to and that was it no interaction..maybe it's cos of the breed...I plan going there again but movement has been holding me back....as for humans it's just few people he knows any strange person/voice he barks..that is normal protective instinct I guess

I will advice you to stop taking your dog around, he is at big risk to Parvo even with necessary shot.

When he was younger yes indoors totally..but now I mix it some hours of the day I allow him to roam free outside(other times he is leached) in other to build his confidence then at night he comes in
