they should use the money for tickets to send the corpse to Nigeria. Is it by force?
Re: Burial Of Rev. Sister Angela Arhona Egbikuadje: US Embassy Denies Siblings Visa by Pidginwhisper: 10:33am On Mar 10, 2020
Shey na by force to go US ni? They should use the money meant for the trip to bring her body down here, unless those going have other motives aside burying the dead. Then bringing her down remains the best option

There’s no big deal about this story.

There is an alternative to request her remains to be sent over to Nigeria if they won’t grant a visa.

After all it is not a must that she should be buried in America.
Where do you want them to see money to bring the corpse back to Nigeria? The average American don't even have enough money to take to a bordering state for a two weeks vacation. No money in America that's why they are being buried there. Americans are suffering

First of, on what visa category was she admitted into the US in the first place,I strongly don't believe she doesn't have a family member in the US, also if she has no family member in the US why do they want her buried in the US , they can as well fly her remains to Nigeria for burial without moving an inch, burial in the US cost a lot of money though.
Re: Burial Of Rev. Sister Angela Arhona Egbikuadje: US Embassy Denies Siblings Visa by seborrhic: 10:42am On Mar 10, 2020
Thought they were supposed to be making arrangements to have her flown to Nigeria to be buried?
The story though plausible sounds somehow.
I am guessing the embassy have some suspicions about them strictly and only going there for her burial.
Some people without direct relations still get their corpses buried or transported down by their town or ethnic associations.

Unnecessary brouhaha...

The organization can enjoy her services while she was alive but can't take care of her funeral,
what sort of nonsense is that?
Then they should arrange for her to be flown to Nigeria for burial.

She is a nun and that means the church is her family or is that not the whole point of not getting married and having kids?

This looks too much like cheap blackmail and propaganda.

I share Ur view. When a Nun dies, d congregation she belongs to buries her. It's not the family's responsibility. The family is only invited to witness d funeral.

I blv the Nun relatives are raising unnecessary dust. Let the congregation send them invitation letter for d funeral, then use d letter to apply for Visa. QED

You give up your life for service of the church and when you die the church says they don't care for funerals and cannot give you a burial for the hardwork.

Too bad

Chai. It's a pity. Maybe they should just forget about pursuing for a visa approval and refocus their energy in looking for a proxy/liaison person within US that could handle her internment while they fund him/her.
