I am definitely restive, demotivated and kinda scared - never being this scared in my life (poverty that I experienced growing up no fear me reach this one).

I am in Charlottesville, VA, USA pursuing my studies at UVA. How am I coping:

(a) My ass is 100% seated at home
(b) I wash my hand almost every 30 mins (not sure if I am over-doing this but I know I am not ready to die yet)
(c) I am currently attending classes online
(d) I catch up with news on twitter via CNN, BBC, Washington post, Financial times, WHO, Business insider, and via other people's handle to stay abreast of all the happenings
(e) I sometimes sleep to escape reality. I also play video games, watch movies and CR7 youtube videos to supplement my escape from reality
(f) I reach out to my family and friends to maintain my sanity. I also try to sensitize people who needs it
(g) I sometimes reflect on life and try to be grateful. I wish the dead ones eternal peace (watching the video of those Italian coffins is disheartening)
(h) I have come to a realization that government all over the world ain't shit. I repeat, government ain't shit and they're treating us all like scapegoat.
(i) Meanwhile, I realized impossible is nothing as I managed to eat "eba" with "vegetable and boiled egg". My chicken finished and couldn't visit the grocery stores. I think this is when I started getting de-motivated.

Lastly, please stay SAFE by practicing all the necessary measures that have been issued by organizations like WHO to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Try to sensitize people if you think they need it too.

Sassy, I’m doing the honey and lemon tea for myself. Kiddie won’t drink it. I tried. But So far she’s fine.

I disinfect everything outside before coming into the house. Un;dress in the garage. and cleanse inside/outside of any car I drive to work before bringing them into the garage.

Constant disinfection. It’s tedious but if that’s what will save us. We have no choice

One of the doctors I work with doesn’t see his kids anymore, he’s living outside the home and goes to work from there. Until all this is over. wish I could do that.

I won’t be surprised if I’ve already been exposed and our immunity is just protecting us

My family and i are indoors here in Germany, although not same in all parts of Germany, some workers are still going to work, but with measures put in place to maintain social distance for example I needed to visit my Steuerberaterin to submit a doc,but when i called her on phone she told me she's still working but can't have any phisical consultancy unless I scan and send to her...lol . Secondly after I called my friends working in other cities in Germany to know the level of compliance, I noticed it is very difficult to shut down 100% Europe's biggest economy Germany as many people are still working.
However, supermarkets are still well stocked up so men dey house just dey do chop and shop..Lol..
As for the salaries of workers at home, we are yet to know how the sharing formula go be shaa, cos Deutschland must share like PDP.. or maybe na our Versicherungskasse go share shaa. Anyway we trust the government ALWAYS!!!

Some states New York, California and Washington are in total lock down in the US. Limited movement in Maryland. We still go to stores to get what we need. Government are doing all they can to contain it. Let's keep praying.

In France, its stay at home(indoor). All shops locked. Only very big supermarkets are open. Each time you want to buy foodstuffs, you fill a form before leaving your house. No choice.

You have unemployment benefits for people who lose their jobs although it's a small amount (depending on how much you earn) and will not cover all your bills but at least if push comes to shove it can feed you and your family.

The federal government is trying to pass a bill that bails out some companies and provides help to people to limit the number of people who are laid off and one of the main points of the bill is to provide between $1k to $2k to people. The final terms are yet to be confirmed though different media have come up with lots of speculation.

Well,I still go to work cos my job is considered "Essential Business" and we can't afford to close down.So at work we do have sanitizer and gloves. I haven't seen anyone with a.face mask yet. The grocery stores are still selling cos it is considered "Essential" too but schools and other non essential businesses have shut down.
We working and hoping. Everyone stay safe though. Your survival doesn't depend on you alone but that of your neighbors too.

Sir, what's the difference?

To be honest it's very difficult at the moment. I live in the UK and just 30min ago the PM announced a national lockdown. Schools, pubs, restaurants,religious places, parks and nonessential goods shops are to be closed but the supermarket and other shops that sell essential goods are open but the commodities are rationed to reach everyone especially the keyworkers.

The staff population are divided into Essential/keyworkers and nonessential workers with the latter asked to work from home. Keyworkers include Healthcare workers, police,transport service staff, essential shop workers, some designated teachers etc.

Everyone is ordered to stay at home and avoid gathering of more than 2 people. Every child stays at home except children of the keyworkers who can be dropped in schools hence the need for the designated teachers. Other kids are taught by their parents/guardians and also learn online with their teachers.

The vulnerable people ie People >70years of age, pregnant women and others with underlying health conditions are asked to stay at home but will get letters from their GPs/specialists to discuss their care but first over the phone if needed and to make provisions for the supply of their medications via the community pharmacies.

I'm a healthcare personnel and unfortunately is much exposed to the virus but just like everyone, I observe the protective guidelines, use PPE (personal protective equipments) when required, use face mask while on transit and hope for God's grace not to get infected or even at worst not to come down with severe disease. Unfortunately, we can't all be tested as much as we would love to but the testing kits are scarce and would be used only for people that fits into the NHS guidelines.

When off as with most people at home, I watch netflix, news, cook and sleep (how man go do naa?).

However the populace are relieved cos the Govt promised to pay every nonessential worker 80% of their salary every month but not more than £2500 and they are also enacting measures to ensure self employed people do not suffer as well as reducing interest rates; advised private employers not to retrench their staff while also pumping more than £300bn to boost the economy. They are also expanding food production to ensure people don't go hungry and have manufacturers increase their production of ventillators and PPE devices to aid sick patients and healthcare workers respectively...

It's not easy at the moment but together we shall conquer as we keep taking it one day at a time while heeding to the Govt's and medical staff plea...
