DAVE5: Since we know how our government behave. However we cannot leave everything to chance. Let us give NCDC a benefit of doubt of doing a proper check on those materials. In one of their interviews yesterday, one of the official was saying most of the test kits available had been manufactured before covid-19 which may not be 100% result accurate as it may give false positive, false negative hence the need for ncdc to use analytical testing insteading of of using the test-kits available 1 Like |

Reference: Already your filter is in play and you use words like "Senseless" and "selfishness" without any information other than a solitary report that is wildly inaccurate. If you must known Jack Ma's resources have been shared among all isolation centres and this nor include the ones being set up by banks and corporate concerns such as GTB's 100 bed facility in Lagos. The thing is filters make one less analytical and therefore less intelligent. Choices are made on small defective sampling. Filters are the right of people looking for a reason to panic. Panic is anyone right but some of us dont need such in our boat. I pity the spouse or dependant that has to rely on such a person. Taking a government or authority to task must stand on data and facts. Else it becomes mob rule. |

engineerboat: Even were this to be true - do you know what the Lagos isolation centre has at hand? Did you read the report on GT banks 100 bed equipped isolation centre? The author highlighted the report to look like everyone but Abujavwas being starved of materials. This is patently false. |

engineerboat: Going by your analogy that the test kits were produced the outbreak, so we are on one chance result accuracy, so it could go sideways Again I must say, may God help us through this trying times Yes scientists are working to see it's end, but my hope is that God should point then in the right direction |

agabusta: See how dis one is thinking about emergency medical supplies in a time if crisis. O maa se o. I wish I could slap you. Is it meat or cake they're sharing that you're counting father, first born, second born? Who do you like dis? So you mean if a member of your family is sick in Abuja and the drugs for cure is in Lagos while your dad lives in Kaduna, you'll buy the drugs in Lagos, take it to show your dad in Kaduna before taking it to the sick family in Abuja? And you're counted among those who went to school o |

So it must be flown to Abuja? Its only in Abuja that everyone must be saved before it comes to Lagos? A day will come, When the citizens of Nigeria would Mob these abnormal and stupid people. Just making use of opportunity, to steal from everyone while they can. Imbecilic people. |

BreconHills: The report was not a complete report as it does not give the NCDC side of the story, which I find enough reason. Lagos is overwhelmed already for trials testing of those materials. Certification is necessary on those materials before usage. We cannot take anything for granted at his trying time. Lagos NCDC centre is busy on Analytical testing. They are not even using the test kits as they as not sure of its 100% accuracy hence the usage of analytical testing using REAGENTS |

post=87770698: But if the news is praising Buhari, you will swallow it all without thinking first, right? You are a hypocrite. You can't sow the seed of evil and reap good. you can't sow the seed of wickedness and think you can put on a toga of sanctity. What you sow, you will reap. You will eat the fruit of your wickedness. No ban can save you from that. 2 Likes |

Agboriotejoye: Alagba read between the line. NCDC are not even using those kits as they need to certify when they are manufactured. Any kit manufactured before COVID-19 cannot give 100% Positive or negative. NCDC are currently using analytical testing using lab REAGENTS. Those kits certification are necessary, Lagos NCDC centre is overwhelmed already for those trials testing on the kits. That can be done adequately in Abuja. Hope you understand |

engineerboat: Where are all these written in the press release. What you're doing is giving us news behind the news. Let us assume what you're claiming is correct and I understand you well, you're talking about the test kits. What about the PPEs and other materials? Why are they being moved as well? Abuja as we have seen is worse off in terms of preparedness when compared with Lagos. Movement of Abba Kyari points in that direction and the fact that only 2 or 3 ventilators are said to be available. I don't know how they intend to certify the testing kits but if it's to check the dates of manufacture as you claim, then I don't know how come only the Abuja center can carry that out. Besides, it's the Ministry of Health that received the items from the military not the NCDC which implies there'll still be a transfer to the NCDC which will lead to further delay if your assertion is correct. Other nations are increasing their capacity in this time of emergency and decentralizing responses. In the US, the governors are the chief responders for their states with support of the Federal govt. South Korea has even developed a means of testing in 45mins. We are still doing things in the business as usual mode. |
