I am with you as a confirmed tither. The money that is given to God is used for running the church, to help with the ministry and to help spread the gospel.
The money is used for the Kingdom of God. Tithing is trusting God, if you do not trust how your church is spending tithes and offering. Do not stop tithing, still continue to and let God be judge.

The truth is that everybody pays tithe. You either pay to God and get blessed or satan -the devourer takes it from you forcefully and takes more. Thats why he fightd the subject so much. I have never lost any money in investment except for my over sabi. Few week to 2008 stocks crash i felt like selling all my shares in Oceanic and others and as soon I sold all not up to a month the market crashed. Many things like that.
So much to gain when we obey God

Payment of tithe isn't the reason his kids were sent home from school. Even if he didn't pay the tithe, those kids will still be sent home.
Challenges of life is to everyone, yes he's facing a financial challenge now, but I can assure you if he keeps doing the right thing which payment of tithe is among others, he will come out of it.

Payment of first fruit which was his whole salary for January, but he is a faithful tither just surprised he didn't have a surplus that his children were sent back from school for the non payment of their school fees.

There is a Difference btw Blessings and Blessings that Makes Rich and adds no Sorrow!

Thats the Benefit of Involing GOD in your Affairs..

There is a Natural Law in Life Given by GOD that Blesses the Whole World irrespective of what you are. As long as you practice it, it answers.
That's Genesis 8:22. That's the Secret Many in the World have used to Prosper..

But the One of Proverb 10:22 is a Higher and Complete Package.. and it comes when you Practice Gen 8:22 on GOD'S Terms

Blessings that the so called tithers are struggling to survive. It is good to support causes you believe in by giving, donating, tithing etc, but it is not compulsory that such givings, donations and tithing will make one to be financially independent and living a life of abundance.

I have seen tithers and non tithers that are doing well financially, I have also seen tithers and non tithers who are struggling financially.

Who can never do anything for u without expecting return. Which Jesus never did.

Jesus himself, in many parables, showed that he doesn't tolerate foolishness.

Tithing at this critical time when you're barely on your feet is the height of foolishness.

if that opinion is from the Bible then it is more important than anyone well-being.... God's word will not put your love ones into a bad situation.

But if it is the pastor personal opinion, you are free to trash it

Most opinions are from the pastor

You can figure things out yourself with the Bible, but most of these people will never take anything from the Bible without their pastor's endorsement

Tithe payer, you no get your pastor account number ni?

I'll advice you hold on to whatever you have this critical period. God understands.

But if you too get money, then locate that family that have been asked stay at home without any other means of survival.

Help humanity! Spread love!
do you know this is one of the ways tithe is paid according to scriptures, amongst the three ways by which it should be paid. Others include giving it to the church and finally eating it in the company of the pastors and the less privilege. Its just unfortunate that only the part where it is given to the church is stressed.

the pastor can also come up with a Bible base opinion and you think it is his because you don't read the Bible.

Some of them don't have time for the Bible so they take everything coming out of the pastor's mouth....... the pastor is tempted to manipulate them for his own interest

But tithers should not have debt, because God will multiply the remaining money after paying his tithe that the tither will have more than enough.

Tithers should always have surplus at the end of the month and NOT have debts.

You must pay your tithe. God does not favor debtors and remember you need to buy protection from 'covik, one nine'. Pay your tithe or you will not be among those that are hidden in "secret places of the lord". Hehe, no be me talk am o!

You are trying to be sarcastic right?

If not, let's help out in our little way......brb

Modify :
Pay your debt.
Stock your house up with what you and your family members will eat during this stay at home period.

Then if body dey really do you to still give out money,
then listen to these words from our Darling Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST himself.

Matthew 25:35-40 New International Version (NIV)

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?

39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Emphasis on Verse 40.
If you have enough to spare.
Give it to the less privileged around your community!
Especially at this Coronavirus time that all fingers aren't equal.
It will be counted to you as righteousness in heaven.
Or keep your money and spend cautiously.
Happy Stay at home y'all!

What a nice submission!

OP in the first place you don't even believe wholeheartedly in this tithing, but since your conscience is worrying you, that is why you're seeking our opinions.

The truth is if you don't pay, the money will still not be enough. On the other hand if you aren't faithful in paying it when you earn small you won't be able to pay it when you have so much. The Bible says when you pay your tithe He will rebuke the devourer for your sake. Meaning you won't spend it on sickness, police case, village problems etc because they are all devourers.

So I'll encourage you to take out your tithe, pray over it and pay it and the Good Lord will prove His faithfulness in your life. Cheers.

Don't be silly. You can pay your tithe whenever you please. It's not a sin. Don't put yourself in distress just because of some church or pastor.
