NOt until we realize that SALVATION in not FROM PASTORS, CHURCHES but personal submission to GOD, personal relationship with GOD then we will keep having issues.
Don't get me wrong going to church is not wrong but when u understand the bible you ll understand what I mean.

I will say Nigeria is a very religious country but we are so dishonest and evil. Despite the fact that every street have at least 5 churches on the average and we are still evil, dishonest goes a long way to show that going to church is just show off for most people.

Pastors enrich themselves their followers defend them, pastors deceive people with fake prophesies, go around town in excessive luxury and they paint it as God's blessing.

But little people see the fact that the money for offering most times goes to pastors pocket, how many churches audit their account and make everything public to church members?

they have been brainwashed to the extent they can not see clearly anymore, infact they do not want to see clearly nor want to think rationally, i blame porverty, you hardly see Rich folk in the church, some people are poor the only hope is a false hope on some men who calls themselves men of God.

if any one needs God or wants to see God they can do it
themselves without the help of God of men. most so called christians in africa are lazy hyporcritical miracle seeking church goers.

the sad thing is, if you do not agree with them, ask questions or seek answers they label you bad, evil, a sinner or a devil, they are the only ones who are righteous.
