Even if he loses 80% of his wealth he's still a billionaire in dollars and a trillionaire in naira.

With his money you'll have to work very hard to be broke.

But this is still a lesson to humanity that despite our ambitions and petty grievances and grandiose plans, it takes an invisible pathogen to grind the world of 7 billion people to a halt.

The most sensible post so far. Dangote's so-called loss is just on paper. The man has cement factories in more than 12 countries and his mammoth refinery is about to take off. But see how brainless brats hoodwinked by a British man named Kanu are masturbating over nothing.

this is just the beginning. dangote is a very greedy man. someone who made him wealth out of nepotism. ibete was producing cement when obasanjo retracted his license giving this greedy man alll the market to thrive in. he became so wealthy and focused solely on himself and his people.
his workers are poorly paid.
he keeps buying the entire market. still africans are poor. now he is going into oil production. but he chose lagos for a manufacturing plant. Oyibo that discovered oil chose the niger delter (the actual place where they get this oil).
a black man came and chose the overpopulated lagos.
how can a sane mind be building the biggest plant in african in lagos?
that is choking lagos. lagosians will not see the effect today until they begin to experience the pollution that Niger deltans have been suffering.

why not build this plant in niger delta itself than transporting the crude all the way from niger delta to lagos and then refining it.
these people want the niger deltans to benefit nothing from their own oil. they own all the oil blocks yet opportunities are not provided for these people.

it took Bill Gates to vaccinate dangote's family and the entire nigeria. today nigeria is free from polio because of a white man called Bill Gates. and he vaccinated Dagote's relatives.

today we haev the corronavirus, but it took Jack Ma a Chinese to supply us free medical supplies. and we have the wealthiest man in africa in our backyard.
as soon as the supply from Jack Ma arrive, Buhari and his cohort hijacked it to abuja. instead of sharing it, they used it to sanitize Aso rock.
this is a charity donatino that should have gone to a charity organisation to share. Government should not have touched it. but they used the military to seize it, if ever they wanted to share it, they should have shared it in lagos and not move them to abuja and let alone using the military to move it.
All I know is that every downfall is an uprising. it is time for some poor men to rise. some wealthy will fall by the virus and some poor will rise.
every poor man, use this moment to look for way to grow. not illegally. but now they wealthy are running for their lives, instead of using your life as a bullet proof, take advantage of the opportunities. these men are evil.

dangote is rish enough to fumigate all drains in the country to eradicate mosquitoes that kill nigerians like fleas.
regina daniel and her old puppet just day shout mosquito eradication day deceive themselves.
lagos state bought motorized sprayer and they are announcing it. isnt this what every farmer should have? isnt this what they could have given to farmers initially?
isnt this what they should have been doing or had in place?

the only reason why the government is putting up measures to curb the virus is because the virus is not intimidated by money. if only poor people died like mosquitoes, they would have made no move.
enugu is paying salaries so that you can spend it in times of needs and have nothing to save. they should have been planning packages for all like other countries. they are paying salaries 4 days before month end and they expect to be thanked?

know your right. do not be grateful that someone did his job. no one is grateful that you did yours. it is their jobs to provide these things. stop being a beggar in servitude. nigeria is for all not for the elites only.
this greedy man cannot

40% of the demand for refined product is in Lagos and environs. Why build in the Niger Delta?

The Niger Delta pushes away investors through militancy, youth restiveness and kidnapping.

Don't blame Dangote.

Stop having entitled mentality. It's not right expecting returns from what you did not contribute towards.

Just a piece of advice.

I was born in lagos and I have no beef against lagos.
"militancy, youth restiveness and kidnapping." did not push the same investors from exploring the crude? How do they manage to drill with al those impediments that you listed?
buhari built a refinery in kaduna in 77', at what point did the militancy and kidnapping start?
Ken Saro wiwa was murdered for advocating for what at what year? All he wanted was the government to cleanse the pollution. so tell me an activist who was killed for not inciting violence but canvassing for pollution clean up

you are a huge part of the problem in the country. you have cherrypick the sweet part of history to push forward. why is there militancy in the delta? you did not ask, but all you want to do is push all investors away from the delta and will you drill the oil in lagos?

lagos is full already. there are other states in the west that need development. why not build in abakaliki? your dirty mind will say igbos are bad. deltans are bad and igbos are bad. you are the good ones. but you do not have oil. and you want the oil of the bad ones. that is why the igbos are campaigning for disintegratin of this thing called nigeria.
if you the 3rd or 4th generation of nigeria can think like this, there is no reason for unity.
and I am not even igbo to begin with. I am a liberian with a yoruba mother from Lekki.
I am not being tribal but factual.
expand development. 40% of demand comes from lagos. but for decades that 40% have been buying petroleum products that come from tforeign countries.

telling me that 40% demand is in lagos, Okay!

so how about the 60%? will you transport the products to other places in the country? Russia sells oil to germany. will russia build a refinery in germany because germany is one of their top buyers?
that is illogical.
have you asked yourself, how will the crude get to lagos for refining in the first place?
haha

oga leave that thing. we know wetin day.
wetin day your head na wetin dem put inside.

kwara day there, Benue day there. free land with few populations.
I am not talking of an administrative block. dangote is actually building a manufacturing plant.

e no go tay.

Your hate for niger delta is genuine. be careful.

I usually don't respond to people here but this is just daft. Dangote pays well, secondly there is no rich man or woman who is a charity. Bill Gates that you talk about is a thief same as Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and co. Thirdly dangote main cement factory is in abajana. And ask people from there what he did. If you loose one month of your salary and I ask you for 10 k can you give me.

Forbes' list networth is a feel good paper money.

A calculation that wipes off or adds millions of dollars in a week based on gyrations in equity market should be questionable. But then, oyibo people have various adaptations of Accounting practices.

Well

What other metric will you suggest for measurement

Good ....greedy stingy man.

He no reach you? grin grin grin

Someone who has a US$1.2 charitable foundation is "stingy"?
Many Nigerians think it is about sharing money on street corners and motor-parks, and have folks hailing you as "baba".
