Episode 12: God's Word
Lessons Learnt in Abejoye, Season 3.
The season 3 of Abejoye, a popular christian movie of Mount Zion Film Production, has been given wide contemplation as the best of its kind among numerous christian movies in the contemporary world, of late.
The season 3 of the popular film, Abejoye, which has the theme 'my defender' majorly centers on humility of the heart, gentleness, love, drastic spiritual growth, amidst others.
Here, I give you the top morals learnt from the great movie, Abejoye.
1. Christians must avoid pride of the heart: The bible says " the Lord looks at the proud afar off, but gives grace to the humble. Pride is one of the major enemies of men that makes men to stumble easily. Christians are not meant to boast of their knowledge, intelligence, charisma, or any God - given acumens given to them. Do not reply every comment about you, be slow to reply people and do not compete with anyone ( 1cor 10:23) take heed!
2. Your soul is more precious than your ministry: Obvious, their is no truer statements than this in Christianity. No sane minds would choose the latter in a lieu to the former. Your salvation is the only key to the kingdom of God. Your ministry can only help people to get to the kingdom of God. What is now your profit if you win countless souls for Jesus, yet you lose your own life? Therefore, fellow Christians, you are advised to check your collection with God daily, if you are still in His ways. The salvation is indeed much more precious than your ministry. 1 Cor 9:27.
3. Not how far, but how well: The number of years you have been in the church is not a parameter to jugde your connection with God. In fact, a convert can be more spiritually mature than some Christians who have been in the church for many years. The son of Abejoye, Bamidele and his wife, Laide, are expected to pastor, shepherd, disciple the old man. They are supposed to be his spiritual leaders, but the are spiritual babies who display their spiritually childish behaviours every time. Improve your spiritually life today, if you do not want to claim vaim glory like others. 1 Cor 13:11.
4. Anger: Anger is not among the breastplates of righteousness; it brings danger because Satan always gain advantages over someone immediately s/he is angry. Please control your emotion. Holy spirit stays in a holy and quiet heart, not an angry heart. Ephesians 4:26
5. Old things have passed away: Christians are supposed to be new creatures immediately they are converted. You have to let go of your old ways of living, behaviours and communication. Abejoye made the mistake of putting the attire of traditionalists when he was meeting African traditionalists in USA when they paid him a visit. He even failed to forget their riddles and norms. Any Christian who fails to let go of the old things is walking on the brink of apostasy. Such person is in the garden of the devil. 2 Cor 5:17
6. Love/intercessory prayer: This theme is deployed through one of the minor characters, Diwura, a granddaughter to Abejoye, an eponymous character. Diwura shows the excess love she has for his grandfather by firstly breaking her parents' institution to not go to see Abejoye. She, furthermore, prayespirithe deceased, Abejoye, to be resuscitated. Brethren, we can emulate these traits by praying for one another and showing excess love for everyone. James 2:8
7. Be prepared every time for spiritual warfare: Christians should anchor their faith on Jesus, the solid rock.yourselves spiritually in order to defeat the devils and his principalities and the evil doers any moment. Epeshians 6: 12
8. Marital harmony: the couple in Dallas, Bamidele and Laide do not have marital harmony and this makes them smarital argument often.
9. The great commission: Abejoye and the chief, Oluoje demonstrated this by preaching the Gospel
10. Be remorseful if you want to have encounter with God as a believer.
11. Add yours.

Abejoye is not just another gospel movie it's a REVIVAL !!!
What I learnt are as follows :
1. Boldness : chief oluoje cud strongly make his stand about organising a crusade at the market Square even when other chiefs warn him against doing so
2.Signs n wonders : you can't be a christain without a sign n power to dominate.still on oluoje, he could exercise that power when the daughter was in crisis (epilepsy). He demonstrated the power he believed in n there was a miracle. This signs shall follow those who believe,in my name they shall cast out demons ...
3.Always flee : This is all about bamidele n her mistress. bamidele is willing to give up on his adulterous way but he didn't do much. Giving attention, energy n consideration to her makes him give in the second time after confessing to his wife. The devil really used that against him no wonder the Bible says we shld flee away from every appearance of evil
4.Forgive n ignore if u can't forget : The truth is, as much as we try n walk in the spirit the flesh still manifest. one of the reason bitterness was much on laide is just that the pains of bamideles failure to his marital vows couldn't be forgotten even though he's been forgiven thus laide was quick to anger. Shalom !!!
