You are right. Co wives don't fight themselves, but, in this situation, they will rather kill the man from excess Juju he will be consuming. Or, he will die from lack of peace of mind.

Although, polygamy is not prohibited biblically, the church kinda of frowns at it. Except in places where culture trumps the religion, cases of where men marrying more than two wives are hard to come by. This is can be evident between say Bayelsa/parts of Delta vs Akwa Ibom. The former have cultures where polygamy is entrenched compared to the latter where religion holds sway. Additionally, among young people, truth is: polygamy is not economically unsustainable compared to having side chicks. Imagine having 3 kids each from both women or three women? This implies raising 6 or 9 children from different women NOT one woman.

Moreover, with the rise of feminism and female empowerment, I do not see a well educated, exposed and financially independent lady being a second wife (in places where religion trumps culture). Although, there would be exceptions but certainly not the norm, if not these ladies would have married the men they date as sugar daddies as second wives not when the man is a divorcee or widower. These ladies with information on their finger tips would rather have a baby without being married (views are changing) while dating a matured man than being married as a second wife. With the costs of sperm insemination dropping and social norms changing, expect more financially independent and exposed ladies to prefer having a child and date married men than become second wives. Some may even resort to sponsoring the wedding/marriage with a less economically viable man than become a second wife. This I would say for those who care about "what would people say?".

This might be true statistically, however, if eligibility is considered, then there are more likely to be single ladies than guys. It is the quality not quantity that counts for a guy being single.

One of the greatest fallacy I always see on NL. That a man has more than a wife does not mean that he would not cheat. Cheating is independent of how many wives a man has. Check out those men in certain parts of Delta or Bayelsa, they would cheat just like if not more than their counterparts in Akwa Ibom who is married to one woman.

Whatever you do, don't you ever try polygamy....

Side Chicks are single because they don't want to date broke guys in their league but looking for made men up and down.There are as much single women as men. There just aren't as much desperate men for marriage as women.
